Richard and I have been involved in tourism in our country for many years in various capacities. At the moment we are tour operators and we also offer our home as a homestay opportunity for international travelers who would like to experience the real Jamaica! Our very modest family home is comfortable and warm, where you will have your own private room and shared bathroom. You will have access to the kitchen and common areas. If you are a smoker, smoking is done in the garden. We are inviting someone who can teach us Forex Trading and social media advertising from the comfort of our home. Accommodation is free but you will provide your own meals.
We are requesting 4 hours per day for 4 day per week. If this request interest you then we are anxiously awaiting your response.

Looking forward to this adventure!

We started our farm in Martinique seven years ago.

US :

Tommaso is agronomist, he grew up in Italy and worked in several African countries before arriving on this little island. Celine, an agriculture historian, grew up in Martinique and came back to make her dream of an organic farm come true.
We both had the opportunity to take a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) in Pai, Thailand, that inspired us a lot.
Macabou, Celine's parents land, offered us the opportunity to start this adventure.
The land is quite steep and is surrounded by a beautiful forest. In the middle of the forest a lake and beyond, the sea.

THE PROJECT :

The project takes shape. Many ideas are floating in our minds and step by step find their way on the land. At the same time we learn how to realize dreams.

A hudge orchard is growing and expanding presenting a high diversity of tropical fruits. Diversity and catastrophe resilience are our main goals. We expect to build a tropical food forest, he... more inside

GARDEN OF EDEN : Where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean Sea - a seaside B&B in the Main House (closed for 2018 season), cottages; and an organic garden, just up from a pretty, secluded beach.
Originally developed to be a seaside resort, the place was neglected for several years. Jason and I are doing our best to maintain the property in it's current state.

The role isn't rocket science and the work’s not crazily demanding and we don’t expect any specific experience. What we do want is someone who is happy to muck in with a few different things, help us stay organised and who'll be nice to our guests and to our team. Our guests are generally English speaking but Spanish is useful and other languages would be a plus.

We have a team of 4-5 volunteers at a time, two owners on site, a security guard, cleaner and three dogs – we all work together to a safe, clean place where our guests, and us, get to have a good time.

Our volunteers work shifts to covering our front desk and bar area. On shift you’ll be expected to check in/check out guests, look after a pretty simple bar, keep an eye on the hostel in general and point guests in the right direction when they need information about the area ( See not rocket science)

From time to time you might be asked to do something else; help with the cleaning on a day the cleaners not there... more inside

ANIMAL LOVING PEOPLE REQUIRED. We are especially looking for vets/vet nurses/animal welfare workers.

Cool, characterful, wooden house with lovely sea views available on the small and beautiful island of Mayreau, Southern Grenadines, St Vincent, West Indies.

This is a great opportunity to live in self-contained free accommodation and sample the "old time Caribbean" on a very friendly, unspoilt island (population 270), in return for looking after our own 5 (maybe 7) rescue dogs and rescue kitty, including beach walks on a daily basis for dogs belonging to a neighbouring family, who are otherwise chained 24/7. We also ask our helpers to look out for and assist in the welfare of the other island animals. We encourage our helpxers to engage with the local people and children with regard to animal welfare issues.
