Richard and I have been involved in tourism in our country for many years in various capacities. At the moment we are tour operators and we also offer our home as a homestay opportunity for international travelers who would like to experience the real Jamaica! Our very modest family home is comfortable and warm, where you will have your own private room and shared bathroom. You will have access to the kitchen and common areas. If you are a smoker, smoking is done in the garden. We are inviting someone who can teach us Forex Trading and FaceBook advertising from the comfort of our home. Accommodation is free but you will provide your own meals.
We are requesting 4 hours per day for 4 day per week. If this request interest you then we are anxiously awaiting your response.

Looking forward to this adventure!

If you like children, are either French or English mother tongue and feel like spending some time in the Tropics, our place might be just what you're looking for.
The kids and I share our life between Martinique and St Lucia. I'm looking for someone serious, friendly and reliable that could take care of my 13 1/2 year old son in Martinique in my absence in October and during to the first week of November.
You would share with my son a self-catering apartment within 20 min walk from the beautiful beaches of Schoelcher in exchange for a few hours of your time to pick him up after school, help him with his homework and chores and give me a hand with computer work at a distance. On week-ends, my son could show you around the area and take you hiking around the island. He's a sweet kid but needs someone to make sure he eats, sleeps, washes and does his homework when he should.

HURRICANE MARIA UPDATE:

Our site unfortunately suffered severe damage during the passing of Category 5 Hurricane Maria on the night of September 18th 2017. All 5 wooden structures including 2 homes, 2 guesthouse cabins and our school space were totally destroyed and the Family Tree community project has been put on hold. We lost absolutely everything from our floorboards to our solar panels including our fridge, oven, furniture, mattresses, kids toys, clothes and, most heart-breakingly, all our books and 90% of our tree and garden crops.

WHAT WE DO STILL HAVE!!
- Natural spring water source
- Double vault compost toilet (minus the walls and roof.... for now!)
- Tool shed with temporary roof - and most tools still operational
- A bunch of scrap lumber
- Seeds and the means to harvest some basic organic produce
- Herbaceous plants
- Our cow and her young calf (conceived within days of the storm...), 3 dogs and 2 cats :-)
- A fiercely motivated energy to restore our piece... more inside

We started our farm in Martinique seven years ago.

US :

Tommaso is agronomist, he grew up in Italy and worked in several African countries before arriving on this little island. Celine, an agriculture historian, grew up in Martinique and came back to make her dream of an organic farm come true.
We both had the opportunity to take a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) in Pai, Thailand, that inspired us a lot.
Macabou, Celine's parents land, offered us the opportunity to start this adventure.
The land is quite steep and is surrounded by a beautiful forest. In the middle of the forest a lake and beyond, the sea.

THE PROJECT :

The project takes shape. Many ideas are floating in our minds and step by step find their way on the land. At the same time we learn how to realize dreams.

A hudge orchard is growing and expanding presenting a high diversity of tropical fruits. Diversity and catastrophe resilience are our main goals. We expect to build a tropical food forest, he... more inside

Before being parents we traveled the world helping some people building their life-project. It is now time for us to give money back!
In a perfect world we are looking for a couple who know how to sail, and can use some tools. Skills in Mechanics, plumbing, electricity, woo... more inside
