We have a beautiful undeveloped white sand island located in the Pacific that is about 5 miles off the south west coast of Panama in the province of Chiriqui. The island is a magnate for great surf and one day we hope to have an adventure surf camp business on the property. At this time we have a well, a main trail and one very basic structure that is one step above camping but we are pretty much only in camping mode at this time.
We presently are cutting a walking/bike trail and clearing as much of the old fallen branches, trees and thinning of brush from all the property Hopefully we will soon be building rustic ’ranchos’ out of trees from the property and tin. panels. We have a small solar panel and battery that keeps the cel phones charged as we do pick up cel service there.
Access by boat is presently a 7 mile run through the mangro rivers and then 5 miles of open water. We do monthly supply runs and volunteer stays are one month minimum.
Leisure activities are world c... more inside

This is a learning laboratory in creating community, building green businesses, innovating solutions for sustainable living, and sharing these innovations and learnings with the local community. In addition to creating our living spaces and the requisite water catchments, garden plots, chickens and other small animal areas, and food forests, we envision implementing initiatives such as shared workspaces for artisans and craftspeople, shared storefronts, local products, produce, crafts markets to strengthen local economies, and an eco-business incubator. All of this will be documented so that it can be improved upon and replicated and all of this has a huge social impact.

Our EcoVillage Project has available several opportunities for long-term (preferably 3+ month, but we'll consider 1-2 months) volunteers. The learning potential here is enormous, as we are building an intentional community from scratch!

This is an EcoVillage in formation. Our center of operations is at Casa U... more inside

We are looking for volunteers to start as soon as possible. A minimum commitment of THREE MONTHS and minimum age 23 is required. Unfortunately, due to bad experiences, we cannot accept couples.

The duties of a volunteer include attending clients and help around the shop. You have the opportunity to go diving at Isla Coiba and to further your education in the field of diving (OW, AOW, Rescue, Specialties,DM, Sidemount, TEC). We now have fast internet access at the dive shop.

Fluency in English is required and preference is given to those who speak Spanish (and obviously any other language is a bonus as well). We do not accept couples, families or qualified DMs/instructors as volunteers. While you do not need to be a qualified diver to come and volunteer for us, however, a love and passion for the ocean are a must. We are looking for people who are possible considering a future career in diving and want to learn as much as possible related to the dive industry. We offer intern... more inside

//VISION:
We got a spacious 17 hectares private island in the pacific side of Panama. I'm working on turning into hub for nature lovers, artists, travelers, internationalists, anarchists, yogis, naturists and digital nomads. A place to get away and try the life that is uncontained. I've already built a mobile app for the island project and want to built a culture around it. Eventually I'd like to form self sufficient sustainable eco tech community, but for now we're building jungle tree houses near all 7 beaches of the island. The plan is to rent these cabins to fund the commune and events on the island. That way members won't have to work outside the commune, only if needed.

//CURRENT ISLAND RESIDENTS AND VOLUNTEERS:

Right now we are 3 people on the island ( Haitian Caribbean/american, Russian, French)

I'm Sebastien founder, a 34 years old Software engineer that left his job in California and went nomad for more than 4 years around the world. I've hosted many couchsurfe... more inside
