A permaculture farm and art space located in a forest near Erongaricuaro, Michoacán, México. We are dedicated to food forest farming, sustainability, home scale and large scale permaculture techniques, organic gardening, art, and community living.

We live closely with nature, using minimum resources for maximum benefit and creative adventures! We are now focused on creating videos about art, permaculture, agriculture, and the various projects in Bosque Village.

We began in 2004 in over 80 acres of pine, oak, and madrone forest. We are off the grid, using no outside water or power. By adjusting our lifestyle we have enough power from solar panels and enough water from rain catchment. The solar panels provide enough power to provide wireless internet part of the day and LED lights at night. We built lorena stoves for cooking and built five cabanas, huts, an art studio, and six composting toilets. Wood fired sauna. Solar ovens. Food dehydrator. There are 5 friendly dogs here, on... more inside

Our Hostel is a brand-new Hostel in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas; Mexico.

Our Hostel is just 2 blocks from mainsquare and offer different services in and out the place: hosting, tours, temazcal. Our place is an old big neoclassic arquitecture house, with a beautiful big garden with temazcal (mayan sauna), hammocks and a brand-new terrace with a 360 grades view from the city.

I have an organic garden on a 40 acre property in the state of Yucatan by the Gulf of Mexico, near the beautiful fishing village of San Felipe. I have a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston (1985) and I developed many ways to be self-sufficient. The house is engineered so that it only needs a single 100 watt solar panel and one $60.00 lead-acid car battery that lasts me about 5 years. See how I live off the Sun and how I build a concrete house for about the price of a car. Learn how to control weeds without chemicals, naturally fertilize irrigation water and make any crop use 3 times less water using my "rock culture" and with my $1.00 "laminas" invention you can even grow food in the city on any flat rooftop. See how I made tiles, concrete furniture, a solar oven and a solar water heater. (If you have an Android phone I can Bluetooth you all my agriculture, engineering and construction notes). Detoxify and rejuvenate with organic foods, including fruit an... more inside

We are starting to build a little off-grid Glampling Eco-Resort Project located in the mountains near the border with the USA (San Diego), very close to the only magic town in the state of Baja California, Tecate. Much more than just a Boutique Resort, it will be a healing center and an amazing place for retreats, events and workshops, a space for people to meet, learn, relax and explore a holistic life. We also plan to set up an organic/permaculture garden this spring. There are some small lakes and archaeological sites nearby.
We are really looking forward to hosting creative, hard-working, proactive, skillful, friendly, open minded and flexible people with a positive attitude!
If you are looking for a quiet place, with nature beauty all around, within an environmental preservation zone, your place can be here.
You may have the opportunity to visit many beautiful spots in the area.
Gay Friendly.
Because we are in an initial state, the accommodation is very basic, you can sh... more inside

Further in the year .....
Are you a professional: CARPENTER or ATV-MECHANIC and want to stay for at least 2 weeks on the Mexican Caribbean beach in exchange for help – This might be it.
We are situated "off the grid" on the Costa Maya beach, 5 km south of Mahahual town, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
The Costa Maya is still a very natural environment with the 2nd largest barrier reef in front and a huge area of mangrove and wet lands behind.

Hi there,

Javier writing here, this hostal is my personal way of showing my city and culture to others, after 14 years traveling and staying in hotels, hostels, friends houses or camping, I learned the importance of having a place where you feel comfortable, safe and welcome.

We have 4 different ways for you to stay with us, help us in any project that fits you:

1.- HELP AT THE HOSTEL

We are around 7 to 10 crew members most of our people are girls so we are looking ONLY for hard working fun GUYS (sorry girls) to help with reception, general maintenance and our daily activities, at the hostel we really take care about 3 topics: Our people (team and guest), great fun open-minded environment and clean areas, sometimes we will ask you to help us cleaning or painting a wall and in other moments you will be organizing a movie night, preparing guacamole or giving tequila shots to people.
