(Due to the corona virus only very long term volunteers please. You are provided with a separate house. My nearest neighbour is 2 KM away. Cost is 350 pesos a day per person)
I have an organic garden on a 20 hectare property in the state of Yucatan by the Gulf of Mexico near the beautiful fishing village of San Felipe. I have a degree in electrical engineering and I developed many ways to be self-sufficient. I cook solar-electric, with a rice cooker connected directly to 4 small solar panels and I also cook with a wood burning rocket stove. At "Hacienda Santa Maria" you can learn how to live in a civilized way on just a few dollars a day. I will show you how to mostly live off the Sun and how I build a beautiful concrete block house for about the price of a car using my invention "Horsy". Our Hostel is a brand-new Hostel in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas; Mexico.

We opened our doors back on November 20th, 2012. San Cristobal de Las Casas has been awarded as the Most Magical Village in Mexico for 2011 and 2012, so the city can offer so many different ways to live: culture, arts, music, nature and a great chance to meet people from all around the world and to share experiences.

Our Hostel is just 2 blocks from mainsquare and offer different services in and out the place: hosting, tours, temazcal. Our place is an old big neoclassic arquitecture house, with a beautiful big garden with temazcal (mayan sauna), hammocks and a brand-new terrace with a 360 grades view from the city.

We are looking for 6-8 people to help us in the Hostel with these main activities: reception (welcome guests, take them to their rooms, offer our tours, etc), rooms/beds cleaning, laundry, night shifts, hostel promotion at the bus station, campfire nights, in-place events and the mor... more inside

My name is Victor and I have been teaching English to young people from my community for 8 years. I have a small school in downtown Tehuantepec near the market, banks, restaurants, and the tropical forest full of coconuts, bananas, and mangoes. Tehuantepec is located 20 minutes from the ocean beach community, Salina Cruz. I am located only a five minutes taxi ride from the local bus station.

I am looking for one person at a time to come and work with my students, which includes conversing with my students and teaching if you are able to. My students need more practice talking to people who speak fluent and clear english. I ask for five or six hours a day working with my students and in return I offer a place for you to sleep and one meal a day and a tour around the city to show you my local culture. You can stay for a minimum one week and a maximum of two weeks, but we can make a deal if it works out and you want to stay longer.NOTE; at the moment im just receiving couples

Minimum 30 years old.

If you are interested in helping in the kitchen in the evenings, do cleaning chores, help with general things and want to stay for at least 2 weeks on the Mexican Caribbean beach in exchange for help This might be it.
We are situated "off the grid" on the Costa Maya beach, 5 km south of Mahahual town, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
The Costa Maya is still a very natural environment with the 2nd largest barrier reef in front and a huge area of mangrove and wet lands behind.

With the two of us we run a small cozy restaurant, open in the evenings where our international guests come and enjoy a freshly prepared meal and good company.

Further more we have 2 rental units in our flower-full garden.

Our place runs fully on solar and wind power plus we catch our own rainwater.

About 30km north of Ixtapa, and Zihuatanejo, on Mexico's gorgeous Pacific coast, is a small gathering of surf spots known as ondas hermosas. We built our retreat in the heart of this area, removed from the tourist hustle and steps from the sand. Like the locale, our hostel has a relaxed, natural atmosphere, but also offers state-of-the-art amenities and full-service comfort. We are not the average hostel.

Designed to coexist with nature, the Hostel has tropical landscaping and amazing views. It's also completely private, with enclosed grounds and natural energy features that support the environment. We utilize a grey water system, and the latest technology in composting toilets.

We are looking for different on-site volunteers to help us. The positions are:

1. Receptionist/host: Help us with the daily tasks. Managing reservations, showing the people around, answer all questions from the guests and promoting the hostel.

2. Bio-construction: Help building rooms with bio... more inside

We have two sites. One is in an urban setting (Urban) in Cuernavaca, and the other is located in the rural area of Miacatlan Morelos (Rural), next to Xochicalco, close to Cacahuamilpa caves, Taxco, and South of Mexico City.

We are building our version of an Earthship with a green house. The Earthship is to house several vital cycles. A vital cycle is based on a water cycle where the plant kingdom and animal kingdom sustain each other. In our cycle we have fish whose droppings nourish the plants. The plants are rice, azolla, and lettuce mostly.

The tasks change regular since we are building. A few hours to house keeping, gardening, some days we work mortar, other we weld or do carpentry, do compost, collecting wood.
