Our Hostel is a brand-new Hostel in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas; Mexico.

We opened our doors back on November 20th, 2012. San Cristobal de Las Casas has been awarded as the Most Magical Village in Mexico for 2011 and 2012, so the city can offer so many different ways to live: culture, arts, music, nature and a great chance to meet people from all around the world and to share experiences.

Our Hostel is just 2 blocks from mainsquare and offer different services in and out the place: hosting, tours, temazcal. Our place is an old big neoclassic arquitecture house, with a beautiful big garden with temazcal (mayan sauna), hammocks and a brand-new terrace with a 360 grades view from the city.

We are looking for 6-8 people to help us in the Hostel with these main activities: reception (welcome guests, take them to their rooms, offer our tours, etc), rooms/beds cleaning, laundry, night shifts, hostel promotion at the bus station, campfire nights, in-place events and the mor... more inside

We are looking for responsible travelers, who are open-minded and have a good work ethic, that can work as part of a team. We give preference to travelers that can speak English and at least some Spanish and that can stay for at least five weeks with the possibility to stay up to 8 weeks. Zero tolerance to drugs of any kind or heavy drinking.

The location is great. We are in a very pretty street at the heart of Roma Norte which is a multifaceted area. And even though the hostel is at walking distance from cafés, stores and parks in la Roma and Condesa, it is still away from the noise and hustle. It is also a few blocks away from crazy queer Juárez and Zona Rosa, and has easy access to downtown, and beautiful Coyoacan, UNAM, etc

If interested please write a short email telling us a bit about you, your prefered dates, whether you speak English and Spanish.

We usually organize volunteers one or max two months in advance. We ask for a minimum of 5 weeks commitment with the pos... more inside

I have an organic garden on a 20 hectare property near the beautiful fishing village of San Felipe. I have a degree in electrical engineering and I am so self sufficient that I only spend $370.00 USD in 2018. I cook free of cost with a 4 pot cooking device that connects directly to a solar panel and it cooks bread, beans and an omelette, all with automatic shutoff. I build a concrete house for about the price of a car with my invention "horsy" which eliminates the need for scaffolding. I will teach you how to control weeds without chemicals, naturally fertilize irrigation water and make any crop use 3 times less water using a "rock culture". With my "laminas" invention you can grow food almost anywhere, even on a parking lot or a flat rooftop in the city. See how I made tiles, concrete furniture, a solar oven and a solar water heater. (I can Bluetooth you all my agricultural, engineering and construction notes.) The ranch is very remote and only for people who like a quiet, relaxed... more inside

We are starting to build a little off-grid Glampling Eco-Resort Project located in the mountains near the border with the USA (San Diego), very close to the only magic town in the state of Baja California, Tecate. Much more than just a Boutique Resort, it will be a healing center and an amazing place for retreats, events and workshops, a space for people to meet, learn, relax and explore a holistic life. We also plan to set up an organic/permaculture garden this spring. There are some small lakes and archaeological sites nearby.
We are really looking forward to hosting creative, hard-working, proactive, skillful, friendly, open minded and flexible people with a positive attitude!
If you are looking for a quiet place, with nature beauty all around, within an environmental preservation zone, your place can be here.
You may have the opportunity to visit many beautiful spots in the area.
Gay Friendly.
Because we are in an initial state, the accommodation is very basic, you can sh... more inside
