Our Hostel is a brand-new Hostel in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas; Mexico.

Our Hostel is just 2 blocks from mainsquare and offer different services in and out the place: hosting, tours, temazcal. Our place is an old big neoclassic arquitecture house, with a beautiful big garden with temazcal (mayan sauna), hammocks and a brand-new terrace with a 360 grades view from the city.

We are looking for 6-8 people to help us in the Hostel with these main activities: reception (welcome guests, take them to their rooms, offer our tours, etc), rooms/beds cleaning, laundry, night shifts, hostel promotion at the bus station, campfire nights, in-place events and the mor... more inside

We are a rather charming pair of expats Mexican Australian and Indian-English (29 and 35 years old) Anisha and Anika, and we live n a small and beautiful mountain village in the south of Oaxaca, South Mexico. We consider our community to be made up of the few international residents and the local Zapotecs of the village.

From October 2017 we have opened our doors to people who are interested in volunteering on a work exchange programme basis. We offer accommodation, firewood and the majority of the food.

Here in San Sebastian, we are working towards developing a small farm with goat cooperative, as well as workshops to local children. In our projects, we are passionate about finding the common bridges between cultures, and discovering what we can learn from each other to deepen our connections with nature.

ABOUT US:
Hello! we are Caro and Marco (from Mexico & Switzerland), and together we've been traveling and working in hostels for 1.5 years in Central and South America. We recently came back to Mexico to start our first hostel together! We're so happy to be able to do what we love after experiencing the hostel life for 3 years now, where we had the chance to meet the craziest, creative and awesome people from all over the world.

We choose Puerto Escondido for this adventure, as this is a town that has a little bit of everything: Quiet life, beautiful beaches, lagoons, bioluminescent plankton, dolphins, whales, turtles, surf, nightlife, culture, and the most amazing sunsets.

We're located in a town near to the center, 18 min walking to the swimming beaches, which are also perfect for beginners surfers. Our location is also close to the market, supermarkets, and the airport.

Our hostel is meant to be focused on digital nomads and extreme backpackers. We're working hard ren... more inside
