Hi! (español abajo)

We are Susie and Basilio and we live on an organic farm close to the picturesque town of Salamina, Caldas. It is a beautiful traditional town in the Andes which is not on the regular tourist trail and is easy to fall in love with. I came here to learn Spanish 4 years ago and have never left! I am from the UK and my husband Basilio and his family are from Salamina.

We own a small coffee farm here and we are in the process of converting it into an organic farm and aim to grow all of our own vegetables, and organic coffee of course. It is not a business, we would just like to be more self sustainable and know where all of our vegetables are from and what they contain.

If you come and stay with us we would be more than happy to give you a tour of the coffee farm and show you whole process of coffee right up to making your own artisan organic coffee which you are free to drink during your stay. Our neighbours have a 'trapiche' which is where they make pa... more inside

We are Tatiana (mother) and Emiliano (son) a monoparental family who lives really close to Medellín (just 20 minutes by metro). Our home is small but full of love and really well located. You can just walk a couple of blocks and find bars, restaurants, supermarkets and everything you need. Our condominium is peaceful and there is a pool you can enjoy as you want.

I try to practice a natural and respectful parenting even if it is not possible sometimes. We are interested in unschooling and active education (Reggio Emilia, Piaget, etc). So if you are in the same mood you are more than welcome... if not we can still find many things in common. I like to go out for outdoor activies like hiking, going to rivers, parks or simply enjoying a glass of wine and a good conversation. I like people who is open minded and tolerance with other ones.

Right now I would like to find somebody who is willing to help me with the house about 5 hours per day . You wiññ have... more inside

Traduccion en Español mas abajo.

Good morning future volunteers! We are Gladys and Mary, two Colombian sisters and for three years we have been restroring the farm that our mother left behind. We are in the corregimiento of Puente Palo, near the municipality of La Cumbre, Valle del Cauca. (1 and a half hours from Cali by bus to the north). We have 6 hectares of land, 3 of which is cultivated.

We are a special coffee farm where you can discover the whole coffee growing process from sowing to serving, and enjoying.
We also have banana plantations, fruit trees of tangerine, lemon, orange, avocado, caimo, sweet guava, sour guava, anon, guama and some papayas.

Our ongoing project is developing our home garden with an area of fruit trees, one of aloe vera and another area only with musaceae and bananas using organic agricultural methods.

With a daily contribution of $ 30,000 per person. We offer volunteers two meals (breakfast and lunch) Saturdays and Sundays has no ... more inside

Hello travelers, nomads and future helpers and thanks for your interest in our profile!

Our farm is located about 1,1/2 hours outside of the city of Cali and the same distance from its international airport. We are at 1,450m above sea level on the western cordillera (mountain range) of the Andes mountains. The yearly average temperature is around 21°C which means we enjoy the climate of Medellin ("the city of eternal spring") while being close to Cali.

We grow platanos, (organic) coffee, citrus fruits and many other tropical fruits like caimos, madroño, guanabana, guayaba, papaya, maracuya, zapote, tomate de arbol – only to name a few.

Three years ago we started a reforestation project on our land and at the moment we have converted more than 8 ha from grass into a forest where you can feel and appreciate the sounds of silence and nature.

There are two people constantly living on the farm and we speak English, Spanish and German. Four very active dogs are waiting for you... more inside

Wanting to chill out Medellin!!!?
Hola! :) I´m Alejandro from Medellín, I own a big property with 4 family houses.

I have two daughters, 4 dogs and I live with my wife Yeye

The property is located in Envigado, the South of the city with average weather of 24°. It is 3kms away from the Metro station, it has bus stops near with routes going to everywhere in town and it has supermarkets and shopping malls just by....

I grew up in this same house since always, a place surrounded by nature; lots of huge trees, a river coming down the mountain, 4 dogs (my lovely babies), squirrels, butterflies, hummingbirds and hundreds of different birds.
Since 4 years ago I´ve been working on a project which brings together several passions that lots of people usually have and at the same time creates value to the local and foreign community. Just to mention some of the branches we´ve been performing:

-Football
-Beer
-Travels
-Music performance
-Artistic performance
-Juggling

Here in this home lives a small family; Cristian and Alejandra. We have a variety of animals of smaller species (goats, guineapigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks) and we have been working for four years in the process of agroecological management. In the vegetable garden we cultivate a diverse range of vegetables and medicinal plants in a purely organic form thereby seeking to greatly improve the well-being of the cultivated soil as well as that of the people who consume this produce.

!!! (In addition to the volunteers we request for habitual work, we have a space available for a volunteer who wants and looks for a longer residence, at least a month and a half) !!!

We live in a permanent relationship with nature and our daily work allows us to marvel even more each day at the beauty of our environment. Our daily tasks are; feeding chickens, rabbits, goats, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, cleaning their houses preparing compost, cultivating the vegetable garden, harvesting and building b... more inside
