Our place is located just ten minutes from La Ceja, Antioquia and an hour from Medellin. This charming town is known to have more bycicles than inhabitants and a great place to explore the beauty of the "oriente anqtioqueño".
We recently moved here and our plan is to better organize this place, bring it up to date with maintenance, start a vegetable garden, classified the native shrubs and trees, improve the fruit orchard and document the diversity of birds around this area.
The work is diverse and we usually ask for about five hours of helping hands a day. We offer basic accomodation and breakast-lunch (if one person) or just breakfast (if a couple). For now we ask for seven to ten days, or perhaps more depending on currenty projects. We are pet lovers, at the moment have five dogs and three cats.
Please let us know if you are interested, love to have you on board!

Hello travelers, nomads and future helpers and thanks for your interest in our profile!

We would like to show you how a coffee plantation looks when it is ready to harvest, that is the reason why we are inviting you to come to Casa Girasol in October and November 2020. You will learn how to harvest, the proccess involved to get a cup of coffee. Come to stay with us..don't hesitate!!!

Our farm is located about 1,1/2 hours outside of the city of Cali and the same distance from its international airport. We are at 1,450m above sea level on the western cordillera (mountain range) of the Andes mountains. The yearly average temperature is around 21°C which means we enjoy the climate of Medellin ("the city of eternal spring") while being close to Cali.

Our project started as a dream a little over eight years ago. The farm is inhabited by a Colombian-German couple and we mainly speak English among ourselves. We have three (3) adorable dogs and one (1) almost always sweet cat.

We are a local peace and justice organization on the Caribbean coast of Colombia that has a farm used for organic production, educational purposes, and that we are developing as an eco-tourism project. We are in the rolling, savanna eco-system in the province of Sucre, just outside the city of Sincelejo. Our farm was once used for cattle grazing and much of it was over-grazed and degraded, but other parts still had some old trees. Since 2013, we have been protecting the native trees and planting more. The farm is now filled with trees. We have orange and lime trees, guanabananas, mangos, nisperos, and other tropical fruits. We also have a small worm bed to produce humus. We have 2 ponds and have some animals (chickens, dogs, cats, turkeys, red-footed turtles, and a Grey-bellied night monkey named Martino, who is totally free, but shows up each night for a treat. We have also howler monkeys, anteaters, armadillos and sloths on the property which is amazing since the area around us is pr... more inside

Here in this home lives a small family; Cristian and Alejandra. We have a variety of animals of smaller species (goats, guineapigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks) and we have been working for four years in the process of agroecological management. In the vegetable garden we cultivate a diverse range of vegetables and medicinal plants in a purely organic form thereby seeking to greatly improve the well-being of the cultivated soil as well as that of the people who consume this produce.

!!! (In addition to the volunteers we request for habitual work, we have a space available for a volunteer who wants and looks for a longer residence, at least a month and a half) !!!

We live in a permanent relationship with nature and our daily work allows us to marvel even more each day at the beauty of our environment. Our daily tasks are; feeding chickens, rabbits, goats, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, cleaning their houses preparing compost, cultivating the vegetable garden, harvesting and building b... more inside
