Quillabamba is called "the summer eternal city". We have sunshine most of the year, so if you love nature you will have the opportunity to travel in your free time around this beautiful part of Peru. We are sure you will enjoy your stay in this tropical place.

Here is a link to the highlights that Quillabamba has to offer: http://www.aboutcusco.com/en/towns/quillabamba/

I run a private English school in Quillabamba, Cusco. This is an institution that where our main goal is to provide English skills, since there are no English schools in the area. We are located 3 hours from Machupicchu and 4 hours from Cusco. The future economy of Quillabamba will incorporate tourism, fresh fruit and vegetables, chocolate and of course coffee.

I strongly believe that language skills help to provide better opportunities in people lives. We are looking for volunteers who would like to stay at least 1 month and we would love to have candidates who will stay longer.

Our students are keen ... more inside

We are an an officially registered asociation dedicated to rescuing streetdogs which are sick, hurt or abandoned. We have a dogshelter in Huanchaquito where we take care of the rescued dogs until we find them a home.

We are a 100% dependent on the help of volunteers and donations.

The association is run by Marjolein (The Netherlands). Volunteering with us will give you an amazing and very rewarding experience. Every morning volunteers go to the dogshelter (7 min bus) where they take care of the dogs, play with them, walk them, feed them and clean the terrain. We are improving the shelter whenever we have the funds. So handy volunteers are also more then welcome.

Around noon - 1pm we go back to Huanchaco.

Around 4pm 2 persons go back to the shelter for preparing the dogs for the night. this means some dogs get a second meal and some dogs need to be locked in for the night. the water will be checked etc. not all volunteers are needed for this. this is a 1/2 person job. We are a a small non-profit organization located in the low income district of La Esperanza in Trujillo, Peru our mission is to improve the quality of children`s life trough education and help dogs from the streets. Currently we have two projects running. the dogshelter and teaching english program.

TEACHING ENGLISH PROGRAM

Because public education in Peru significantly lacks funding, and the majority of the community cannot afford private schooling, the members of our community have very few opportunities for education. Thus, children are born into poverty and few are ever able to rise up and become empowered. Recognizing that many members of La Esperanza are born into this type of poverty and have few job opportunities, our organization`s founders decided to broaden the horizons of our friends and neighbors through providing education.

There is no greater freedom than knowledge. This belief defines the philosophy at our organization which offers English clas... more inside

Renovation and beautification of this Colonial Estate (Various projects: bio-construction, artistic projects of all kinds, dog shelter, organic farm, animal breeding, product marketing and organization of events)

My name is Luis, I am twenty-five years old and three years ago I moved to the Sacred Valley of the Incas to start this new and wonderful adventure: to save from the ruins a very big and very old family property that was abandoned for more than twelve years ( since the death of my grandfather) and turn it, with the help of my youth, strength and talent, into an incredibly beautiful place, into a little paradise on Earth.
My mother died in my adolescence, leaving me a good amount of money that I had to use to live and pay all my university studies. However, my dream was and still is to become a great writer, one of those writers who have adventurous lives and who have many interesting things to tell. So at the age of 19 I decided to leave the university to pursue my drea... more inside
