Organic farming volunteering? We are in need of volunteers for our community. We prefer volunteers who are willing to work, teach and show our children and community the good way how to
make organic farm in order to save our environment. Teaching other subjects to the children, teach adults English lesson, coach our foot ball club. We`re flexible in what you chose to do.In the afternoons volunteers run a program called “English Corner” where they teach English classes to local people, helping adults to improve their English skills. Many strive to learn English in order to have better job opportunities in the future.

The classes are a wonderful opportunity for the volunteers and the local community members to learn from each other. The cultural exchange helps the volunteers to leaning and understand more about Tanzanian customs and develop an ear for local Swahili.

We accommodate our volunteer in the volunteer house within the host family and other we host them at the host ... more inside

I am a French woman living in Iringa,Tanzania, in a very charming and peaceful house surrounded by the Gangilonga site and I am looking for volunteers to come and help me at my house and land.

The help with the house will be exclusively DIY and recycling materials.

The work at land is fully organic, taking care of fruit trees: banana, mango, papaya, peach, lemon etc... making and using of liquid manure from plants, organic compost making, birds feeding, hostels for insects to maintain in good condition, all new ideas and improvements are very welcomed!

You will receive 2-3 meals a day (if you want to eat outside please tell me in advance as I am the cook!), I am not a vegetarian and you might help me with vegan receipes! You can use the kitchen as long as you keep it clean and use your own stuff.
You will have your own room in a separate house on the same property and you will share the bathroom (inside my house) with other helpers.

Volunteer while explore Tanzania culture and experience our local life.

Samaritan Volunteer Project is a non government organization based in providing education to the children and youth in our community. We are located in south Dar Es Salaam about 15 kilometers from the city center.

Dar Es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania with almost 6 million people. Young people and children are approximately more than 50%. In most local families there are many children and young people who have no motivation to go to school, even their parents do not know the importance of education, therefore, you will see them in the street losing the opportunity to educate themselves.

Our mission is to provide education and motivation to the children and youth to love education. “Since I started Samaritan Volunteer Project I saw changes and motivation from the parents to take their children to schools and also for the youth now they like to learn new things from our school”, says Emmanuel, d... more inside

OUR PROJECT TITLE
Support/help us with sustainable education development for our children`s future in Sanawari village.

DESCRIPTION

We believe that a child’s future success and advancement in life is greatly influenced by their early educational experience as those who have go to school early develop an interest in education more than those who have not participated in early learning education – learning how to get along in groups, work under teacher supervision, etc. They also receive encouragement to express their feelings and ideas through building, dancing, and drawing, playing, singing and speaking. And thus, at the end of their pre-school years, they have become more competent pupils and will be more advanced in some of their abilities and be ready to master their new environment in primary and secondary education. We are located at Sanawari village -Arusha.

We hope that through volunteers support we can save and give lighter through education to our children for f... more inside

Hello!!! Do you want to experience the lifestyle of the East Africa community? Come to Tanzania then. I am a down to earth easy going person and have a nice house that can host two guests at a time. There is no serious work to do in the house except for cleaning and cooking. During weekends and sometimes in weekdays, I can give you free tour to explore the city of Moshi and Arusha. However if you are an adventurous person, I can organize for you to visit other beautiful places like Zanzibar Island and Dar es salaam city where I have relatives who can host you, free of charge. I can also go with you if you would love to; but if that is not what you want still there is a lot of good places to visit in Arusha which are not far from where I live. For instance you can go to a snake park, a hot water spring, or to a nearby national park be it Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater or Manyara or you can as well choose to go visit one of the orphanage center where I myself volunteer. General yo... more inside
