Hello! :)

(about human rights crimes: due to many people being afraid to travel the Philippines... in my and all volunteers experience and opinion, it is very safe and I`ve never experienced anything worrying personally - if you pay attention to the regular rules of travel. The Philippines can be wild, disorderly but not more than many other counties. And with sad things happening here and in the west, I feel very safe here and can see many many Filipinos being very caring and attentive of your personal safety.
Volcano:
Similarly me and volunteers are very safe in legazpi regarding the volcano exploding. In fact it`s rather awesome to watch apart from the sad evacuation side. You can

Ok and now...
Come and join us in Legazpi City and help us create a green eco-oasis in the middle of the city. We build with natural materials, bamboo, wood and rock and our current project involves building a second toilet as well as beautifying the hostel and houses that are already there (... more inside

A large 44ft timber yacht which may require new crew for the 2019 season in the Philippines.
The position is for a female waterbaby, prepared to cook and run the galley and who can also help with light yacht maintenance, no experience required.
In return we provide sailing, diving, accommodation and a chance to live on a boat for a while. Preferably for 1 to 2 months or more.
Yacht is very well founded and Skipper has over thirty years of both local and international experience. Thanks to all that inquired. Booked out October to January.
Cheers
Michael

P.S. I was a host previously in Australia. My first/oldest 8 reviews below were for when I was in Australia plus some new ones for the Philippines.

Kamusta!

Our story is about the power of travel and following your dreams.
i
Giving up the city life in Manila where I was born and raised, and now owning a simple candy store and a backpacker hostel in beautiful Palawan, Philippines.

But travelling is my passion. And sharing stories I've learned from all around the world and the beauty of different cultures would be amazing.

A little bit about me... I have lived in 5 countries and speak five languages. As a tourist I've visited over 25 countries, and remain a traveller at heart. I have been fortunate enough that these 5 countries were diverse-- a first world country, second world, third world, and what I would call a fourth world country. The cultures I've learned from are also diverse covering three continents (North America, South America, Asia).

What are the countries you might ask? Cambodia, Brazil, Colombia, United States, and the Philippines! And yes, I do speak the la... more inside

Allow me to introduce our family farm in the Philippines. We started our farm as a weekend place for our family to go. A place to enjoy the rural environment after a busy week in urban life setting. Then our farm organically evolved into what it is now, a family farm where we also practice agritourism; to show and share the joy we experienced while living in small family farm setting.

We maintain residence both in USA and Philippines. If I am in the Philippines, I love hosting farm to table event and other agriculinary events. My husband and I support the Slow Food movement; and we enjoy having convivial meals with our farm guests. If fate would have it - we might even meet personally! If we are not available - our farm staff family will be around to welcome and assist you on your farmstay.

Meanwhile, we thought that it is a good idea to open our family farm for other families or individuals who live in the urban city and enjoy the rural life even for a day or a weekend. It is... more inside

If you want to experience a healthy lifestyle - great organic food from our gardens and farm - clean air - close to nature and the beach and learn about organics and healthy living and eating you will be in the right place.

From early 2014 we changed our work arrangement to a casual one so that our guests can be more relaxed and work as they feel or have the energy. To support this and allow us to continue providing great vegi organic meals and good accommodation, we implemented a casual work arrangement (work as you please - no fixed hours)

To accommodate this we implemented a nominal charge of 700 pesos per person per night to cover food and accommodation. Since implementing this our guests have all appreciated the flexibility they have. Now no one feels stressed if they find it too hot to work or need to rest and re... more inside

We are starting up an eco-garden in a village in northern Luzon island of the Philippines.

The place is very near Vigan UN Heritage Village. The climate is tropical and ideal for getting a good tan.

We need volunteers to help set-up and maintain the eco-garden farm at least 3 hours a day for at least 15 days. They will help in gardening and (a little) carpentry job.

We will provide for place to stay/sleep and training.
