If everybody makes a difference, the world will be different - Owen Geiger

Our Project is located outside a little village in the northeast of Thailand. Well off the beaten track of tourism we offer an opportunity for everybody to join in a fascinating project where we combine vipassana meditation, yoga, natural building and ecological gardening (especially permaculture) to a system of personal growth and care for nature. We want to show that the path inside and sustainable living can be very lively, joyful and fun. We rock the garden!

Our project is deeply rooted in the Thai community, so you can experience an authentic insight into Thai culture and really be part of it. Our teacher is the Abbot of a Monastery in the nearest city and as such, living mindfully and observing the Buddha`s teaching is very much at the heart of this project. We have a deep connection with the village monastery and the Buddhist community and enjoy sharing in ceremonies and festivals together. Each... more inside

Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we will concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help six public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai.

The first semester starts in mid-May until the end of September.

The second semester starts around the 1st of November and lasts until the end of February.

We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start in November 2019. We are looking for volunteers to teach English only and are available to stay at least eight weeks. We would love to have candidates who will stay for a whole semester or even a year, if possible. Couples are welcome as well.

NOTE: We do not charge volunteers an... more inside

Wichai, a retired Art Teacher and his wife Naiyana, a retired Biology teacher, their son Akapong with his wife Sao and also their daughter Earn and her little princess Jasmin. A local South Thai family with a passion for nature.

The reforestation eco project in South Thailand Surat Thani started 40 years ago when Wichai inherited a portion of his fathers land. This was the site of an abandoned tin mine. The former Rain Forest was devastated and no trees were to be found, only sand and the pit.

All the neighbors and much of the South Thailand, Bannasan district are full of rubber and palm oil monoculture. Sacrificing the Biodiversity of this once Jungle. Looking for someone who can start at around 01th October to 31th October , 2019 and forward :D

Hi everyone! Greetings from Boi! I own a small and cosy resort called Pano with 4 bungalows on Koh Mak island, near Koh Chang. I am looking for someone to help out at the front desk, serve in our restaurant and behind the bar, sometimes help with light cleaning with our lovely local stuffs (but not everyday). And of course, we are always here to share the responsibilities.

Life in Koh Mak can be really relaxing as everyone here is for holidays. Visitors should be ready to chill out. This small island has no ATM, no 7/11. We have no anything that's not local. So be prepared to bring anything you can't live without from the mainland.

Both ability to ride a motorbike and speak fluent English are a big plus. Also I would love if someone could stay over 2 weeks but am willing to deal with less.

In exchange for your help we will provide a private fan room with a queen-sized mattr... more inside

We are always looking for helpers all year round.
Teach English and travel in Chaingmai.
And Pai (free accommodation and food).
My name is Fai and I run a small language center and here we teach conversation skills to children that are ages 3-18. We also do lessons with adults.. We realize the importance of English and having fun while learning. We are about 15 minutes drive from town so we have no tourists and very few foreigners. The students have no opportunities to use English in conversation so we love for volunteers to come and help them .practice speaking out loud with games and activities while learning new material. Generally, the students level of spoken English is a beginner or intermediate level. Some of them are developed by volunteers and reach an advanced level..
Note....
If you are not a native speaker but you have experience in teaching English or are confident that you can teach, you are still very welcome. We can offer guidance on what to teach and how to tea... more inside

We are a utopic project open to all dreamers who are willing to live in harmony with Mother Nature to grow and flourish together.
Our primary goal is self-sufficiency: we wish to produce our own food, water, and energy.

By "here" we mean this small piece of land near the Khao Sok river where we have built the village, the 1st base-camp of our ever-growing community: a newborn eco-village in the very first phase of creating living spaces.
The village provides accommodation for tourists and travelers, a place to live for residents, and a refreshing stop for collaborators and people of goodwill.
We have our own water supply, our vegetable garden, and chicken farm. We also have 7 comfortable bamboo huts, 3 tents and a large dormitory is currently under construction.
And much more to come.

Help to create a future for the children,

Volunt2Thai is a village development project with a focus on children. Because in Thailand, especially in North East Thailand people are very poor. Individual, family members are often forced to leave their children and elderly for longer periods of time, in order to travel to urban centers or abroad to work. The situation is very bad for the development of the children who are left behind without their parents.

General activities at V2T: Teaching English at school, Teaching Sports at School, Teaching the children computer, Teaching Art & Craft Classes, Teaching Music, All kind of Social Projects, Thai Cooking Classes, Agricultural Projects, VT2 Pottery and Clay Studio, or spend some time in the Temple.

Update 05.08.19: V2T needs volunteers to teach at Ban Na Phang School, and Khon Liap School

======= ============ =============

The idea first came to two friends. Take privately owned land that was meant for commercial use, and return it to nature, while at the same time making it financially viable to do so, and support a team of people who live on site. Basically protecting nature, while yet ensuring financial sustainability. The result was the OurLand Nature Reserve, thailands first privately owned nature reserve, which was setup in late 2015. Currently a small 4 member team lives on site full time, along with volunteers who come stay for short periods.

The reserve covers an area of about 15 acres and is the last wildlife corridoor in the lower half of the Salakphra Wi... more inside
