I run private English school for children aged between 10 and 19 years old in a small city in West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives.

I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to come assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and give them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom.

All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect answering all their curious questions, pose for pictures and be invited for lunches, snacks and dinners.

Classes in my school run from 2pm to 6pm and mostly consist of two lessons/classrooms per day. I would also like ... more inside

Om Swastiastu,

Hello and welcome to - the first stages of a life betterment project in Bali for people with disabilities and their families. I am an Australian mother of a sixteen year old special needs young adult with Intellectual "impairment" and Autism-like renegade features which in total makes my not-so-little girl a unique force to be reckoned with.

With a huge affinity for music, rhythm, crazy dance and improv; squishing, peeling and tearing things...The aim of our existence is to create an environment where my daughter can have friends and be nurtured and encouraged to participate in activities that can help her develop skills she may need for the future in a social setting with other kids with disabilities and the general community.

My passion is learning and building with bamboo, recycled materials (mainly plastic trash but also recycled timbers) and making Earth-friendly and renewable technologies that are accessible and low-cost. We'd like to be able to exp... more inside

This programme was created in 2010 by a small group of English teachers who have been working for several years alongside Native Speakers. The reason that we created this programme is to help the local students and give them the opportunity to learn English with English speaking-people. Cianjur is a non-touristy place with few travellers, so meeting english-speaking people is particularly valued here.
In 2013, our programme was recommended by The Lonely Planet Guide Book. The programme was founded by five locals; the team are enthusiastic and passionate about improving the local student’s English.
The team:
Irwan Kumis, who is fluent in English, has been teaching primary school English for 9 years, as well as working for several years as a guide for Western travellers. He previously worked for a German NGO, Forder-und Interessengemeinschaft, as a volunteer in post-Tsunami Reconstruction and Development on Sabang–Weh Island–Aceh. He studied Economics at a University in Cianjur a... more inside

# About me:
Hi. My name is Al (30 YO). I studied at the Yogyakarta Art Institute - Indonesia for 4 years with a major in Graphic Design. As long as I am in Yogyakarta, there is a lot of experience that I have gotten from getting involved in several arts and education communities, which made me stay and stay in Yogyakarta for 10 years.

When I returned to my place (Tomia Island) I began to think of creating a community for children and adults in terms of art and education as well. For now, what I'm starting to develop is the "Mari Mabook Camp" which involves children from 8 years to 12 years old. I developed the Mari Mabook Camp based on the experience I had while in Yogyakarta. I really like to be friends with anyone and very open to anyone. I have a hobby that might be the same as you like; Camping, Hiking, Snorkeling, Playing guitar and Reading books.
