This is us. Our little nest in a big world. On the edge of a sweet French hamlet, in a green valley.
The land is co-owned by myself, my fantastic sister Vanessa, and my incredible parents. Apart from myself, the rest of the family are now based in the UK, leaving me with alot on my hands!
We have a large barn used for storage and as a workshop; a herb garden, a large vegetable garden, a berry patch, ducks, chickens, geese, a dog, cat and our neighbour keeps his sheep on the land.
This is our fourth year with this land and as such we are still very much in the groundwork stage, establishing systems and putting in basic infrastructure. There is a lot of work to do but it is varied and we do it to our rhythm.
We have also put on a local festival and provide decor and sound system gear for events. Last year we also made a series of short films with local talent. Some of our projects are listed on our website, www.naufrage.fr

Having now moved on from our bed and breakfast, in which we were lucky enough to host for some wonderful people, we have now started a new project by the river gardon, just upstream from the world famous "Pont du Gard" unesco monument.
We'd very much appreciate help in making this new place into something special, and hope to get to know some new and interesting friends on the way.

If that appeals to you, please get in touch
Update:
Having now spent sometime getting our garden started and water hole installed, we are getting on with various projects in the garden and outbuildings, with the view to eventually becoming autonomous, any gardening experience helpful, or being able to wield a spade.

After worked 20 years for the contemporary theater and circus show: Light designer, stage manager, scenography,
few years ago, i started a new project :

Animals and nature lover,open-minded, now living in a beautyfull organic farm beside the Pyrenees mountains.
The country is beautiful, green and wild. We have pure water from a natural spring, a lot of forest and field.

I built a barn (500 m2) for animals and after,i used 50 m2 inside, built my apartment/ house in wood ( eco construction ) and a independante room for helpers, so we share this space whith animals; i love it!

Here live some Donkeys, poneys and horses. Sure not for the meat! We also have playful dog and cats.

We need help with many different jobs including fencing, feeding, take care of animals, changing to different pastures or moving them into the barn when the weather is bad, take wood in forest, some gardening and small building projects.

We are in the south of France beside Pyrénées, Toulouse ... more inside

We are a French/Australian artist couple, living 6 months of the year in France, in our two-storey stone Provencal “mas”. Navacelles is a small village in the South of France, an hour's drive North of Nimes and an hour's West of Avignon and only 30 minutes from the famous medieval town of Uzes.
Our “mas” has been undergoing massive renovations after having been abandoned for 19 years. After three intensive 6 months summer periods, we have completed 90% of it, i.e: the kitchen and large living space downstairs and two large bedrooms upstairs-each with ensuite - and a separate small office/library space. We have begun landscaping work around the main building and envisage continuing that work as well as beginning to work on one of two small independent buildings, currently in a poor state, but which could become artists’residencies.
We are both visual artists with many years of renovation experience and are looking for help with both the landscaping work and the building renovatio... more inside

Note: we are currently accepting volunteers for harvest, please contact us.
Hi, my name is Pierre, a southern France organic and biodynamic wine maker. I live in a quiet village not far from the sea with my mum, sister and nephew.
We have 5 hectares of vineyard and 40 olives trees on our property. We also have a cow and chickens.
I am a funny guy and I am really athletic. Most afternoons I go rock climbing or surfing or mountain biking.
The work depends on the time of year - harvesting the grapes and pressing them in August or September; washing wine tanks; pruning the vines over the winter; digging up invasive blackberries throughout the year; bottling and labeling the wine in the summer; preparing orders and shipments, etc. We do many different types of projects and work based on what needs to be done or what comes up - on the property, in the garden, and in the vineyard. Please note that depending on the time of year and work, the tasks we do can be physically demanding.
