The farm is in the beautiful Kashubian countryside of northern Poland, about 100 km from Gdansk. It is surrounded by pine and birch forests with miles of sandy tracks for walking, cycling or horse riding. I grow most of my own vegetables and a small surplus for sale and sharing with friends. I also grow herbs and dye plants. There are 2 horses, 2 sheep, 6 chickens, a dog and a cat. I earn some of my income from teaching English. In my spare time I am involved in organising local theatre festivals and working with a youth theatre group. I also weave and sell hand-woven scarves and shawls. I am trying to become as self-reliant and low impact as possible. I need help from April to October with on going work around the farm, forest and gardens and with the horses, as well as with various small building projects and general maintenance of fences and wooden buildings. My neighbour and I have marked out a nature trail around the farm and some work needs to be done on this. Volunteers usual... more inside

Presently I am looking for someone to help with running our small hostel/guesthouse and house and occasional house-sitting. There is always garden and house work. We grow fruits and veggies naturally, making an attempt at some permaculture principles. Also Looking for artists to paint, work on mosaic projects and do other artwork projects with me. There may be some other projects too, like doing some house painting, repairs, sewing...

I live in the hills over the city of Skopje, walking distance to everything, but in a quiet residential neighborhood. All the city has to offer is within your reach, and the rest of the country can be easily explored by bus. Right up the street begins a forest and you can hike to the Millennium Cross, a 12th Century monastery, and views of the whole valley. We also have a small apartment in the center as part of our offering.

Generally I need:

Help with maintenance (cleaning, laundry, repairs, painting) and gardening

Interface with guests... more inside

We are a chilled out hostel on the beautiful Albanian coastline looking for volunteers for this summer. The property is in the center of Himara, right on the beach with a rooftop terrace where you can relax and enjoy the best sea views.

We need friendly volunteers to help with reception, cleaning rooms, making beds, preparing a simple breakfast in the morning, organizing hostel dinners, and socializing with guests.

Also a bonus if you are artistic! We love for people to leave their own mark on the hostel, so if you can add to the artwork on the walls or you have ideas to improve our decor, that would be great.

Volunteers will get a bed in a shared dorm, free breakfast, and occasionally other meals, access to wifi, washing machine, tea and coffee. Food is cheap here in Albania and there is a fresh fruit and vegetable market, and a supermarket just around the corner from us.

Hours of work may vary depending on how many volunteers we have or how many guests are in the hos... more inside

We need help during May 2019 to the end of August. Maybe you can't help us the entire time (we prefer at least 2 months) but if your wanting to live by the sea in a place with the best energy around come join us. I've owned the building since 2002 but we recently opened it as a hostel for the last 3 years. If interested we can video chat with my fiancé and I about the details. Also I can put you in touch with all the volunteers we have had and they all are like family now. Peace and love.

The name of our permaculture farm consists of two words: "rév", which can be translated to either "ferry" or "haven" and "puszta", which (in Somogy, the area that we live in) refers to "forest pastures". So it may either mean a "way/road towards a pasture", or a "lush safehaven". This meaning is symbolic and appropriate, as our farm is a truly remote one, set in the middle of a picturesque forest, far from the noises of cities, villages or cars. The forest is a national park, so there are no insecticides, pesticides, fungicides or any other harmful substances in use in a very large radius. As such, our farm is ideally located for ecological agriculture and permaculture.

At present our farm is home to 2 cows, a calf, hopefully one more on the way (kárpáti borzderes), 3 dogs (komondor), 4 cats, a paint stallion, an australorp rooster and hens of various breeds, a small flock of indian runner ducklings, thousands of honeybees and us, of course: Anna (24) and David (31).

David has... more inside

Hi.....
Our names are Annette and Chris, and we own this 2 acre farm in Bulgaria.
and, although we have done a lot of the work ourselves...sometimes we could do with a bit more help.
At the moment, we would like someone,
to come and help us around the farm.
And Apart from looking after all our animals....
my husband Chris is planning on putting a lot of new fence posts in,
and of course, any other little jobs that come along.

The only thing is....and we don`t apologise for it, or keep it a secret, we are dedicated nudists,
and you most certainly will see me, and most probably Chris as well, naked.
So....not wishing to make anyone uncomfortable,
if nudity offends you, ( it does some people, )
we really are not the placement you are looking for.
Thank you.
Annette and Chris
p.s.
Unfortunately, Max, our beautiful German Shepherd died in his sleep last year and although he was 15 years old, we miss him everyday.
Now, we have three Bulgarian Dogs, Bessy and Arab ... more inside
