A few years ago we bought a pieces of abandonned land a few kilometers away from Valašské Klobouky. It was a total jungle, with a lot of trash lying around. We did a lot of work cleaning the place.

First two years we lived in a caravan while building a small house. We now live in our new house and have the caravan free, waiting for helpers! ;)

The place is a bit isolated so the house is not connected with electricity. We are powered only by solar pannels. We have on the roof a total of 3,3 kW and a storage capacity of 7,5kW, with a lithium battery. So if you are insterested in independants fotovoltaic systems, come check it up!

We are a family with two young children (3years boy and small baby)

We are slowly developing vegetable growing, aiming to produce professionally great fresh greens in the years coming and sell on markets, in restaurants from the region.

We will ask from you 4 hours work a day wich will consist according the weather and season in working in th... more inside

VOLUNTEERS FOR ALL YEAR, MINIMUM STAY: 5 DAYS

Vie Nomade is a Mountain Lodge located in the middle of the mountain in Albania. It's about 20 km away from Elbasan and there are one bus a day: one coming and one going to Elbasan.

The house has almost no neighbours, it's surrounded by nature and just 10-minute walk from a beautiful lake.

We need volunteers to take care of cleaning the house, creating a veggie garden, chopping wood (you need to know about it), decorating the house, painting creative stuff on the wall, doing some gardening around, and whatever your creativity tells you.

This is an opportunity for people to really feel Albanian countryside (with ancient traditions of local people and very modest environment). It's especially for adventurous people. The deal would be to sleep on the living room, you can also camp outside (we've got tents and sleeping bags). You'd be working with us 10 hours a week that you can accomodate as it's best for you (work 2 hours per d... more inside

We are Bart, Anaji and Franko, fresh family living on the north side of Poland, on beautiful meadow surrounded by woods. Since we found this place one year ago, we are settling up here and rising up edible forest garden using technics and methods of permaculture, natural farming, renewable energy sources and eco-building. In brief, our aim is to create paradise on earth.

Our souls are birds-like. In the past we were travelling and living all over the Europe and Asia for years, until we found this place and decided to stay. Our son was born here last year, under the tree, so we already started growing roots. The time came to create a nest, an ancestral habitat, a sustainable farm.

The farm is in the beautiful Kashubian countryside of northern Poland, about 100 km from Gdansk. It is surrounded by pine and birch forests with miles of sandy tracks for walking, cycling or horse riding. I grow most of my own vegetables and a small surplus for sale and sharing with friends. I also grow herbs and dye plants. There are 2 horses, 2 sheep, 6 chickens, a dog and a cat. I earn some of my income from teaching English. In my spare time I am involved in organising local theatre festivals and working with a youth theatre group. I also weave and sell hand-woven scarves and shawls. I am trying to become as self-reliant and low impact as possible. I need help from April to October with on going work around the farm, forest and gardens and with the horses, as well as with various small building projects and general maintenance of fences and wooden buildings. My neighbour and I have marked out a nature trail around the farm and some work needs to be done on this. Volunteers usual... more inside

My name is Marko.

I am a retired Croatian man living in the beautiful nature of Southern Croatia.

I have retired to a piece of land that my family has owned for as long as we can remember. This land has not been maintained for 60+ years, and it is important to me that we try to maintain this important historical activity.

In my retirement, I am creating a Nature Park that is open to travelers to stay for free.

Activities that occur:

clearing land
planting and maintaining trees, fruits and vegetables
harvesting fruits and vegetables
basic construction (BBQ, basic shelter, water thank, anything that a traveler might need)

Please note that I am not running a business, and am living on a small pension.

...
I cannot afford to provide meals for you on a regular basis.
...
I like to keep busy and desire to create a place for travelers to come and enjoy nature, learn more about Croatia, and have a free place to stay. You can come here and put your ... more inside

Do you care for food that is produced both ethically and organically, by means that also combat climate change? Are you willing to put sensible, selfless, hard work into creating such tangible values? Then read on! We’re looking for people like You! People who are eager to help and learn about farm life, Hungarian culture and traditions, and share their own stories along the way.

We are Anna (27) and David (33) and this year we’ve just started our pastured chicken enterprise on our new 40 HA farm. Sustainable meat production is of key importance to us, but above all we are a Climate Farm, fighting the effects of climate change by means of holistic grazing.

We are younger than most farmers in Hungary (dare I say, Europe), which means we are flexible and happy to socialize and understand your needs and preferences. We understand and respect vegetarians. We are aware of how a wholesome, home-cooked meal can raise the morale. In this regard, Anna is the one who cooks delicious, ... more inside
