Hi, we are Polish/ Spanish married couple Krysia and Ricardo living in a small town of Wieliczka (famous or the Salt Mines) just in the outskirts of beautiful Krakow (Cracow).
Our baby boy Olek is almost 4 years old and speaks both polish and spanish. We would like him to catch english early too, that is why we are possibly looking for a native english speakers to stay with us for 1-2 weeks and help with baby-sitting a little (4-5 hours a day) and talk in English to him - especially during Summer months, when our regular nanny has some vacation weeks.
You will have a private room with a double bed and are welcome to join family meals. We are a calm family and we prefer to host helpers who are not much into night life :-)
There is a cat at home.
We are new to helpX (although I've heard of it long ago) but we are very experienced CS hosts.
IMPORTANT: Please understand there is wellbeing of our child at stake, so we will not be able to accept you if you do not have any comments or... more inside

Hello Soulmates,

I would like to invite you to our Farm-Community!

We are a fun, hardworking, social and learning group of people with the vision of creating our Farm as a place to live together in harmony with nature. We want to develop, celebrate and share our adventure.

We started our Farm in 2014. Since then we have constantly tried to gain more knowledge and experience to help us develop our land. But our Farm is living, evolving thing, so this is our biggest project every year!

About us:
Mark “As a child, I imagined I would live on a paradise island like Robinson Crusoe. I grew up - but my vision never changed. It only grew stronger. And when I learned about permaculture, I discovered that we can create that paradise anywhere and everywhere.”

István: “In my young years I was very active in the Hungarian scouts. I learned a lot about nature, our responsibility to nature and animals, and how we can create and craft things ourselves. ... more inside

Hi my name is Sonia, I`m in my 50`s, English and have lived in Bulgaria for 18 months now. I would love some help with taming and tidying my 2000sqm garden, fencing, decorating, general DIY stuff, well with anything really, whatever you can turn your hand to. I live in a small rural village 30km from Yambol, there are 3 small general shops here and a lovely traditional Bulgarian bar where you can sit with the locals and enjoy a coffee or drink and just relax. There is an early morning Bus to Yambol that returns in the afternoon and some wonderful walks around the village taking in the beautiful countryside views. In return for a few hours a day work I will be able to provide you with a clean single bedroom for one person or a garden to pitch your tent/camper for 2 and your meals. My house is very basic and needs doing up, there is no TV or telephone but I do have internet you can use. I have 15 cats and 2 dogs so you must love animals as they have access to the house and garden as t... more inside

The name of our permaculture farm consists of two words: "rév", which can be translated to either "ferry" or "haven" and "puszta", which (in Somogy, the area that we live in) refers to "forest pastures". So it may either mean a "way/road towards a pasture", or a "lush safehaven". This meaning is symbolic and appropriate, as our farm is a truly remote one, set in the middle of a picturesque forest, far from the noises of cities, villages or cars. The forest is a national park, so there are no insecticides, pesticides, fungicides or any other harmful substances in use in a very large radius. As such, our farm is ideally located for ecological agriculture and permaculture.

At present our farm is home to 2 cows, a calf, hopefully one more on the way (kárpáti borzderes), 3 dogs (komondor), 4 cats, a paint stallion, an australorp rooster and hens of various breeds, a small flock of indian runner ducklings, thousands of honeybees and us, of course: Anna (24) and David (31).

I'm a writer living in a small farm near Warsaw with my wife and 3 kids. We cultivate our own fruits and vegetables and not always we are able to do all the work that has to be done (when I write a book - and it takes several months sometimes - I don't have time to work in garden and field, and my wife works in the city). That's why we need sometimes some help in gardening and home maintenance.
Basically there is some housekeeping, much of gardening, fence painting, chopping wood, everyday cleaning, cooking (if you like it) and so on.
We offer a full accommodation in a big private room, cheerful company, interesting talks and for risk lovers chess and fifa games with our kids which are 10, 11 and 13 years old.

IMPORTANT! We don't smoke and we don't allow smoking at our home.

Hallo, we have a small farm surrounded by forest around 20km from city Rimavska Sobota. Middle South Slovakia.
We are with 2 persons, me (Slovak) and my husband (Belgium), we are retired and after our work around the world on the different projects (building sugar factories and bio fuel) we settled home now.
We have some houses here what need to be reconstructed, we keep some animals like cows, ponies, pigs, chickens, dugs and dogs.
Doing some gardening to have our own vegetables, potatoes, fruits, everything bio.
In season we are busy to prepare food for the animals - hay, straw, grass silage, seeding and cutting wheat, preparing wood for the winter time and between these normal farming jobs try to do some cleaning up the area, renewing of the buildings and machine maintenance.
We are producing our own energy (solar panels), baking our own bred and cakes, preparing jam from our fruit, syrups, collecting herbs, try to live healthy and we are 95% independent.
We speak Slovak, F... more inside
