We have a little sheep (10 sheep) and grow vegetables for home use.
Our farm sits on a hilltop overlooking the sea and we offer private lodging and all meals (mostly organic) and cater to all diets.
We need help with summer vegetable planting, paddock maintenance, weeding and raking leaves.
We enjoy hosting overseas visitors, speak fluent French and love helping travellers perfect their English
Life is pretty chill up here on the farm, with quiet evenings under the beautiful night sky. Stargazing is excellent.
We provide all meals and much of our food is organic and grown in our own garden.
We look forward to seeing you!

Do you want to help for a few days near Whangarei? Some outdoor work, and some inside. Helper accommodation requires removal of wallpaper, sand and paint. Some landscape and garden maintenance needs to be done. Other options.

We are looking for a non-smoking couple, preferably with your own transport, wanting to stay for a few days to help. Please apply by email link, telling us about your skills.

I'm Jeff and moved from California to NZ over 30 years ago to establish my horticulture business based on organic principles. I have NZ's largest daylily nursery and send plants all over NZ. I also have a 150-tree avocado orchard and sell produce at the local farmers market. Other trees are walnut, macadamia, citrus, apples, plums, feijoas and we also grow all our vegetables so are almost self sufficient.

My partner,Trisha and I would love help with gardening and general maintenance around the orchard and house. We are now in the process of establishing some more vegetable beds.
We are looking for someone to help us create more garden beds and also help with spraying ( organic ) the trees ready for next season and some wood cutting, mulching and minor building work would be helpful too.
You will stay in the self contained small cottage in the garden with solar panels and composting toilet .Your own transport is preferred as we live in the country and beautiful beaches and ... more inside

We live on a six hectare lifestyle block raising beef, 30 minutes from Whangarei.
It is a picturesque spot surrounded by forest and fields.

we are a couple in our 50's and we have dogs - there is a lovely swimming pool and decks round the house and a bbq area. We are a couple who have travelled lots and have children in different parts of the world.
A range of work available inside and outside depending on skills, it could include housework gardening, weed control on the land or any other jobs that are required on a lifestyle block.

We look at four hours work a day in exchange for food and accommodation.wifi.
We currently have available days as from Jan 18th onwards.
We prefer people that can provide a reference from someone in NZ they have already helped or have already spent time in the workforce

We are a easy going couple in our thirties who have a 16 acre farm that we brought nearly five years ago. As we now have a 3 year old gorgeous wee girl and my partner works long hours in his family business we could really do with some help on the farm to continue building our dream.
A friend of ours also lives here in his shack and is currently building a tiny house for himself on the property. Another of our friends lives here in his bus.
We also have a couple of caravans and some cabins onsite.
We started on our property with only a caravan and a bare block. We now have built a shack around our caravan and have some other infrastructure in place like large chook coups, gardens, compost toilet and compost bins, dirt bike track, woodshed, yards and more.
We have currently built some new cabins for us to live in and our shack we used to live in is now a self contained helper quarters, with kitchen, pool table, dart board and tv.
We could do with a hand with painting and ... more inside

Hi, Steve and Joanne here.

We live on a pretty quiet 7.3-acre lifestyle block in Ruatangata, about 25 minutes north of Whangarei.

We need lots of odd jobs doing, repairs, renovations and improvements to the house, we have started a free-range egg business on our lifestyle block, so there are about 800 chooks (far, far away from the house) along with 3 goats, a fat lazy cat, rabbits, another cat, 4 arsehole sheep,7 lambs, another Pet lamb that thinks it's a dog, 3 cows, an assortment of useless ducks, some Kune kune pigs, 3 berkshire pigs, and a small three year old daughter.

It's just beside a kiwi reserve so you can often hear them fighting or mating at night. No noise pollution and views of the stars are pretty amazing on clear nights.

We are pretty easy going, and just looking for some help really. We are a working farm, and we are trying our best to make things great, but this house is definitely a work in progress, so things can sometimes be a bit chaotic, a bi... more inside

Hi there travellers. I am a single dad that works full time in the building industry. What I am seeking here is someone that can babysit/Nanny my girls when they get home from school and clean. Cooking skills would be great but I'm happy to cook too, but would love to try something new from another country. I'm pretty easy going and chilled and enjoy a beer or wine after work.
Note...I would prefer woman as I don't really want random men around my girls.
If your keen to experience a small beach town in New Zealand and are happy to look after kids after school hours, clean etc then flick me an email or message.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Chad

I have a small lifestyle block in Matakana... the Tuscany of NZ! We are home to a menagerie of animals - horses, chickens, goats, doves, dogs, cats and one very talkative cockatoo called Toffee. I have rental houses also on the property and each one has a garden that requires care and maintenance. There is always plenty to do with firewood, weeding, fences, gardening, house maintenance etc.
The Matakana area is stunning and the village is famous for its cinemas, markets and cafes. Endless choice of beaches, regional parks and activities, with Goat Island marine reserve 5 minutes drive away. Deni lives here with her son Keanu, and friendly tenants that share the property. Presently I have a flatmate also - Jim the builder. We look forward to meeting you!!
