I offer a majestic view; a basic fare of soup, fish and chips, roast chook and fajista, "stu"shimi and pizza burgers etc; with homemade beer.

In exchange I ask for 3hrs per day (9-12). You do not work on the day of your arrival or the day you leave (except to make the bed etc).

Behind my place is the mighty Coromandel Range so you can go walkies up the creek into the bush. Maybe use windsurfer boards as kayaks and just paddle around. Possibly cycle 4km to Waiomu and walk 1hr to Kauri Grove. Or just chill with the view and/or catch a fish from the beach.

TEXAS HOLDEM (free or $20) in town on Thursday night.

Please Note: I have a mouse that lives in the house. You may also see the odd hedgehog, and waddling ducks sometimes appear in the lean to, scrounging for food. I have even had a possum run around the lounge and out an open window! Please don`t apply if any of these creatures offend your sensibilities.

Sometimes it takes me a while to respond... more inside

Adventure, Kiwi-style!

We are 3 women, 3 dogs,24 ducks, a goat named Winifred, and several large gardens,in rural Waihi. We are at the very beginning of our project - building a lifestyle/farm which is as natural and self-sufficient as possible. We are off-grid, with some solar power. We have composting toilets. This is an opportunity to experience true kiwi Glamping!

We are:
-building and renovating 'tiny house' cabins
-building animal shelters
-creating and building gardens.

We are looking for helpers who are honest, trustworthy, clean, reliable and willing. Must definitely be kind, friendly, tolerant, nice people, and be very sensible around animals, especially dogs. You also must be team-players.

You must be able to follow instructions! Please follow this very simple instruction -
make sure you have a photograph on your profile....!!
Applications with no photograph will be ignored.

No party-people.

This is a workplace. We go to bed early and get up... more inside

We are a small farm running to permaculture principles. We have a self built strawbale home and an ongoing interest in alternative building.

Animals on the farm include: cows including a house cow, sheep, chickens and donkeys. We also have vegetable gardens of various styles and we experiment with different ways to make the most of the poor soils here. We make many things for ourselves including: preserves, smoothies, cheese, soap, furniture, sewing and building. We are in a beautiful area next to the Coromandel Forest Park and the Te Mata river that has many swimming holes.
We prefer helpers with a genuine interest in permaculture/organic farming.

Hi. You need to be mature, honest, have initiative and be able to work unassisted. You need to take pride in your work. We take great pride in our park and expect the same from our Helpers.

The park is on a very lovely beach and there may be opportunities for you to go fishing in the families boat.

From mid November you will need to have your own sleeping car or tent.

We are 7 mins from Coromandel township

There is a communal fridge and washing machine also.

We are looking for Helpers for no less than 7 days. Sadly 1-2-3 days here just isn`t enough time to settle in.. Any further time staying is for negotiation, depending on your willingness to continue working and what jobs are still to be completed.

The most common tasks we require help with are gardening, weedwacking, painting and cleaning. You need to be able to work independently and follow instructions.

We are happy to supply or cook or supply your dinner every night and, we a... more inside
