I have a 9 unit motel and holiday park which accommodates campervans/tents/and buses. We can offer a self contained motel room or an on site caravan, free wifi, and meals in exchange for general cleaning duties/maintenanace work and painting.Would love to have someone for a long term, but of course we welcome any proposals.Putaruru is close to "everywhere" and though not essential, having your own vehicle will allow you to enjoy so much more of what the Waikato has to offer.Rotorua,Taupo,Mt Maunganui and Waitomo caves are all within an hours driving.Locally the famous "Blue springs",Hobbitton and Waikato river walks feature and we will be able to arrange transport to some places if you do not have a vehicle.I am maori and I think I can provide other perceptions and cultural perspectives to your visit.

We live on a 20 arce lifestyle property in rural North Waikato. It is a small but busy property. My partner and I have 3 children, 1 girl aged 15 (away at school during term time) and 2 boys aged ,13 and 11. We raise beef cattle and have a number of horses and ponies. In the summer we make hay ourselves on the property. I also run a business from home which I produce and sell chutneys and sauces. I work away from home locally 3-4 days a week (usually during school hours). We ride horses and ponies and the boys ride motorbikes. We have an arena and also access to large areas of farmland for riding over. At times we travel to competitions. You will have the opportunity to be involved in our family activities and watch the children`s sports. The work we require is varied but does involve looking after animals incl. Horses, dogs, cats and chickens. There is always housework to do and some childcare, sometimes cooking if you like to. There is also work outside on the proper... more inside

*Looking for a person or couple who can lay a concrete pad for a future shed and/or build a website for us and/or help us manage the home while we are at work (cooking, house cleaning, pets, basic gardening)*

Hi everyone!
We have a beautiful property a short walk away from a world famous surf beach (google Ruapuke beach). We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20 minutes from Raglan. Our area is very remote - we have some neighbours but there are no shops here, just farmland. So if you enjoy being away from cities and people then this is the place for you!
We are a female couple and we love doing yoga, meditation, we love animals, nature, the beach, surfing and sustainable living. We are slowly working on our dream which is to build a yoga/meditation/holistic healing retreat.
We have lots of loving animals - 2 cats, 3 dogs, 2 horses and chooks and ducks. We also have two young children (girls) with us 50% of the time, so things can get noisy!
We are looking for a person or two ... more inside

I am now fully booked for July and August, so please contact me after then.
Homestay in beautiful Raglan, direct access to the beach.
I am looking for help in a very large garden that runs down to the beach. Beautiful views while you work!
I am also looking for help with cleaning, some painting and general home maintenance both inside and outside. The hours of work would be 4 hours a day and we can work these out to suit your day and mine.
It is not necessary to be experienced in either but if you are-great!
I would expect a cheerful helper who is willing to work as hard as i do.
In return, I can guarantee you will fall in love with the views and the beach at the bottom of the garden. I can provide a separate to the house studio to stay in with a fridge and basic cooking facilities. The shower and toilet is separate to this but will be for your own use.
Breakfast I will put supplies in your studio and I will provide morning tea, lunch and an evening meal.

Bicycle available

Projects in 2020 include establishing a vegetable garden, building a chicken coop and an outdoor wood-fired oven. If you have a particular skill or interest we will aim to work with that!

Hours of work: 25 hours per week. Generally 5 hours in the morning with plenty of time off for enjoying the local attractions. Days off as arranged (2 per week). I would prefer you to stay for a minimum of a week: longer by mutual agreement.
