Hi Helpxers,

I own a small holding farm containing a few animals like cattle, horses, sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and rabbits, on which I live by myself.
The accomodation includes a detached room with 2 single beds, a microwave, TV, a hotwaterjug, fridge. Comes with own private toilet. All meals provided. I supply all food shared with me in my outside kitchen. Prefer helpers to cook evening meal and eaten together. Bikes supplied if helpers wish to ride near-by trails. At the township of Kawerau there are free hot pools, further out is a unique waterfall and bush trails to other lakes.
I am situated In the Bay Of Plenty on State Highway 34 near Kawerau.
This area is known as the sunshine capital. The beach is a mare 15 minute drive where you can fish or take a tour of our active volcano on White Island in Whakatane, this area has a lot to see and do.

Some of odd jobs are:

** Also needing 1 or 2 people from 27th Dec until 4th Jan to do 2hrs work a day for free accommodation, you will need to provide your own food though. Thanks **

We are a fun family, originally from the UK, with two children (one and three years old) and an energetic dog who are renovating a very small older house in Rotorua. We have both travelled worldwide and like meeting new people. Our house is right on the edge of the Whakarewarewa forest aka `The Redwoods` and is only a 30 min walk/10min cycle from Rotorua CBD. We have separate accommodation for one or two people (couple or two friends) with its own bathroom and wifi. We would like some help with work in the garden, veg patch and general cleaning and cooking. We would really enjoy it if you also cooked something from your country/area for us while you were here. :-) In return for 4.5 hours work per night, you are welcome to stay and eat with us. We provide a simple breakfast and lunch which you may help yourself to and a f... more inside

Small lifestyle block with fantastic views 10 minutes drive from Tauranga city. I am looking for some general help around the property mainly with weed control, stacking firewood, tidying up the place a bit.

The weeds are honeysuckle and blackberry and the best technique is to pull them by hand. Blackberry do have thorns but with good gloves (supplied by me) and good technique (supplied by you) you can avoid most of the prickles. The work is not hard but would best suit someone stronger and physically fit.

We also have a young baby, just 6 month`s old, so it is really important to us that we do not get colds or flu in the house. If you have a cough or cold then you just can`t come, I hope you understand.

Our property is in the countryside so a car would be required. The place is great, warm and dry and with excellent views. We cook well and enjoy good conversation.

Tree planting, make wind break, duck housing, new fences and getting ready for spring planting projects!!

Come stay with us for a minimum 3days, you can even stay longer if it works well for us. Must like animals, we have a friendly dog, ducks, horses and lamb (baby sheep).

We are a young couple and we live in Waihau Bay, 1 and half hours drive from Opotiki town. (Nearest town!)

We would love a bit of help on our journey to organic living and self-sufficiency/permaculture lifestyle with others like-minded.

We are 5mins walk to private beach and 1 min walk to wild native bush with fresh water creek. Drinking water is fresh spring water, full of life giving energy.

Lots to explore, we can go on walking adventures, you can go fishing/collect mussels, swimming, do meditation, yoga or just relaxing, watch amazing sunrise/sunsets.
Great place to grow your inner peace, take time reflect on your journey and further planning of your adventures.

Tasks would be: helping ... more inside

Spring is here, and some nice days are warming us. The season for preparing seed beds,Green house seed planting, as well as making wine and spring cleaning the house on wet days. We still need a couple of strong young guys to help us in the firewood block, where we have two standing dead gums to drop and cut into rounds and stack to dry for the next winter's heating. It is still winter, and the living is about wood fires and slow cooked home raised meats, vegetables and home made mulled wines, beer and some card games.
The property is one of the better examples of self sufficiency you will have the opportunity to visit in NZ. Some nice worm farms have been re-constructed, solar PV panels and an electric car. You will be able to help with some weeding and tending the animals and small projects.
Also we are involved in organising a 300 Ha pest free zone in the Kaimai Mamaku SFP, so you get an insiders view on possum, stoat and rat control up the end of the road.

We live simply... more inside

We live on the outskirts of the small rural town of Murupara approx 40 mins drive south east of Rotorua. We have wi-fi and cell phone coverage. The area is hugely popular for hunting, rafting, fishing, tramping, mountain biking, horse riding and other outdoor activities. We are surrounded by beautiful New Zealand forests and rivers and some famous natural hot pools are 25 mins drive away. We have pets such as horses, a dog, a cat and chooks and a large property to maintain. It is just the 2 of us living at home but we are very family oriented and have adult children and small grandchildren who visit from time to time among other visitors. We love to show off our beautiful country to overseas visitors. We can offer rafting on the Rangitaiki River, fly fishing, horse riding and tramping as well as comfy beds and yummy food. In return we would be looking for visitors to help us with the maintenance of our house and property, so if you are a handy man (or woman) that would be most hel... more inside

Hey, come and see us, Meg and I are a young couple (in our sixties), our three daughters have now all left home and are living their own independent lives. We love to have young people around. We will make sure to spend some time with you as we enjoy helping with English, while still leaving you plenty of time to yourselves. (Please note, sorry but we have a strict no smoking policy on our property.)

The jobs will not be too hard and you will have time to explore the area and enjoy the fabulous Ohope beach and surrounds. Our home is on a lovely quiet rural property with a stunning view of Ohiwa Estuary, less than 10mins from Ohope (in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty) and Whakatane (popular for trips to White Island) is also only 15mins away. We are also well placed for a stop on the way to East Cape (first place in the world to greet the sun each day) or for those heading to or from Opotiki or Gisborne.
