We grow most of our vegetables in our glasshouses and gardens and dont use any chemicals or pesticides in the vege areas.
Meat is from the farm or the local beach where we sometimes go fishing.

We have available for your accommodation a 60 square meter self-contained flat with a separate entrance adjacent to our home with all facilities independent to the main homestead including your own fireplace. Roy and I lead a very busy life. We need help in the garden, spring-cleaning and some minor house maintenance and painting. We have a small dog who spends a lot of her time with Roy at work. We have two grandchildren living with us too.
Plimmerton is a small seaside village, 20 mins drive from Wellington city. There is a very good train service leaving every 30 minutes from the station. Trip into Wellington is 30 minutes.
Our home is a five minute walk to the beach.
Roy is a eccentric Irishman who deals in classic cars, Annie works with families affected by mental health issues.
Our home is set in a tranquil environment in bush and gardens. We get a lot of pleasure entertaining and being active in the Wellington Folk music scene and often have musical evenings at home.
We both enjoy food, wine and good company.
We would like four hours work a day in exchange for accommodation and meals . We are flexible about how you do this. There is a double room available for you.

We are available to host from Friday 28 June 2019.

Autumn jobs at our place include pulling weeds from the vege garden and the orchard, digging post holes, painting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big section (2 acres) in Tawa (15km from Wlgtn city) with domestic poultry & developing home orchard. Our home is in walking distance of train station (Kapiti line) - approx. 2 km or 30 minutes walk. We do live half-way up a hillside, like a lot of homes in Wellington. The walk is easy and invigorating - the kids do it daily to and from school!
We prefer short-term stays - 5 or 6 or 7 nights, preferably including the weekend. Also are happy to consider your suggestion.

We have 4 at home in the family now (Mum, Dad, 2 boys 13 & 17 yrs) + 1 old hound & 1 young dog, 1 feline, hens, quails, budgies & just one goose. Our older children have 'flown the coop'.

Our household is a typically busy one & hectic at time... more inside

I am German and have lived in New Zealand for 20 years. My two children live here half the week (4yr and 16yr), which tends to be the more social half of the week (other half I work a lot). We have a Kiwi dog, 6 kiwi chickens and 2 Kiwi guinea pig.

Only five minutes drive from Hutt city, or 20 min to Wellington by train.

We live amidst a very beautiful native bush setting with a small stream running through the property, lots of Fantail, Kererus, Tui and other native birds. Enjoy unlimited access to the bush via walking tracks which go right to the top of the hills above Wainuiomata via fire breaks, or take a quick 20-minute loop walk to work up an appetite before dinner.

Right now I am looking for someone mainly for painting, gardening work and some cleaning. Anyone with woods skills would also be very handy. If you can handle a chainsaw let me know! You must be happy to work if it's raining as most work is outdoors.

The suggested arrangement is for you to work ... more inside

Hi there! We are a friendly family with a cat. Louise works in the city and our kids are 6 and 8 and lots of fun. We enjoy travel and meeting new people, good food and hosting friends. Our kids are also friendly and love meeting new people.

At the moment we need some helpers who can help us tidy up our property, so If you are experienced with painting, landscaping, gardening, cleaning and can help out with meal preparation wed love to hear from you.

We like to be flexible so helpers can do what they are good at/enjoy doing, so let us know what you are in to!

We would prefer couples or friends who are over 25. We need people who are happy to fit in with out family life and share meals with us (most of the time). We eat around 6pm with the kids. (While we try to be flexible we have had helpers who sleep until mid-day and stay up very late and it didn't work so well for us.)

We have a lovely sunny villa in Island Bay, just a few minutes walk from the beach, the Island... more inside

Hi,

We live in a sunny, private home in the beautiful suburb Northland. You can walk to the botanic garden in 5-10 minutes or to the city center in around 35 minutes or you can take the bus - the bus station is just 1 minute away.

In return for accomodation, breakfast and dinner we expect between 15-20 hours work/week for housework and some babysitting/childcare.
We are a German family with three boys (7 month, 2 years + 5 years).

Because of the children non smokers only please.

Come and stay with our family of 5 on our lifestyle block in the leafy suburb of Te Horo, on the Kapiti Coast. We have recently moved back to NZ after travelling extensively for 19 years abroad.

There is work to do around the property helping with things like gardening, clearing the section of unwanted trees, picking fruit and lots of other things which go into keeping a property of this nature. It is largely manual labour and there is no need for childcare support as we have an Au Pair living with us as well.

Our house is 'active' and there's always plenty going on thanks to our 6yo (Isaac), 4yo (Yulisa) and 1yo (Ella), plus Milo our dog, Sugar our cat.

We got involved with Helpx because a) we need the help and b) we love to host people from abroad who are likeminded and who share their experiences of traveling the world with us and our children. We're thrilled to be able to open our home and our family to travelers, many of whom are from countries we have spent time in. ... more inside

Our home is Newtown, a sunny Wellington multi-cultural suburb close to the CBD (10 minutes on the bus or half an hour walk). There are lots of cafes nearby, as well beaches five minutes drive away. We live in a big Victorian villa in a large garden with lots of trees and birds, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. You will have a double bedroom with access to your own bathroom.
David's house is nearby and similar.

Positive friendly professional adults are welcomed. My partner Dave and I value eco-friendly behavior. We respect the privacy of our guests and appreciate sharing time as well.

We are looking for some help with cleaning and painting and even a bit of brick repair on Dave's house as well as small maintenance projects, and some housekeeping.
Experience at painting would be an asset.

In your message tell us about yourself and your skills and interests.
We expect four hours work a day and if you like to cook (especially vegetarian food) that will be great! Non-smok... more inside
