NEED HELPERS FROM 14 SEPTEMBER...

In return for 4 hours work a day I offer you accommodation in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond.

Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, (I have bikes for you), or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine.

My 40ha property is a sheep farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13km from Blenheim (pop 25,000) which contests the annual sunshine record every... more inside

We live close to the center of Blenheim in a lovely old villa which has been completely redecorated. The website is for the Bed and Breakfast and you would stay in one of these rooms. We generally have gardening and other household chores to do and we expect 5 hours per day in exchange for your food and accommodation. We also have a holiday home in the Marlborough Sounds. We prefer couples as we have a range of jobs suitable for men and women. Singles OK too:) We seek people who are motivated & self managing. We try for a balance of work and fun. Hi to all, we are a family of four in the Pelorus Sounds, Marlborough. Our closest port is Havelock.
We are looking for easy going people to join our family and help around our place.
We are pretty self-sufficient, and even milk a cow for fresh milk every day!
We have a large sheep farm, and are boat access only, because of our isolation we cannot host people with serious medical conditions, food allergies or picky eaters, Sorry.
We are also a smoke free family.
The best way to get to us is on the mailboat, which runs on a Wednesday.
We would love some help with lots of different jobs, such as on the farm, but also with gardening, and household duties.
We ask that you work around 4 hours a day in return for a place to stay and meals.
We have alternative power, and internet is available.
We like to do a weeks trial with people to make sure we all get along before committing to longer stays.
You must be able to get on with kids and animals, and not mind working by yourself ... more inside

We're currently replacing the birdnetting roof over the blueberries and about to dismantle a small vineyard.Need help from Monday please!
Lots of warming outside work :). If you want to get involved with an organic orchard and see how we make a living give us a yell.
Accommodation is in the warm “blueberry cottage,' a simple self-contained flat that is part of the packhouse across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi, plus there's accommodation in the caravan.I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard/gardens you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make lunch at the house for everyone, and your afternoons are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it, mostly you'll make your own dinners but when time and energy allows it we have dinner together at the house. We have bikes for your ... more inside

Our home is an 1874 Historical property which is surrounded by established gardens. We have a business where we do Devonshire Teas and Weddings.

We have two daughters and two Grandchildren. Also a dog and three cats. We also have bees and a Olive Orchard that we harvest around June/early July.

At the moment we are needing some help with cleaning and some gardening leading up to the new season of weddings in Early November. It`s sorting out some sheds and reorganising areas for the new season.

We have started a renovation. If you have building abilities we have a small cottage that needs lining and weatherboards painted. If you have experience with that we would be happy to take you.

The Area: We are surrounded by vineyards with stunning mountain views in the beautiful Awatere valley of Marlborough. In our area we have some hikes and walking tracks close by.

Our Location: We are in the Awatere valley, 1km from State Highway One. 25 km drive south of Blenh... more inside
