Hi
We are an older couple, but young at heart
We have 2 small dogs, 5 chocks, some
sheep/new lambs and we live 10km from Hokitika, own transport preferred, but not essential. It is important if you are thinking of joining us to let us know in advance so I can send you directions as we are a little hard to find.

Our block of land is in need of a tidy up, e.g. some help with fencing, collecting firewood, taming the gorse, preparation for painting the house, gardening also some indoor work when the weather is bad.

We are looking for happy positive people to help get our land tamed. The hours of work and meals will be negotiable. You will have a separate bedroom in our home which has a king sized bed, this can be changed to 2 singles, also a room with a queen sized bed. There is a river on the boundary which is good for kayaking

The West Coast has fantastic lakes, bike trails, bush walks, beaches and rivers. Hokitika is a small tourist town where there is a glow worm del... more inside

Our next space is from around 15th December. A small NZ farm (280 hectare) but is a lovely spot to live and look out to the mountains and the bush. I can get you from Greymouth or possibly Reefton = if you do not have a car. We say yes often to solo travellers. We also say yes to couples but not as often.

We have working 5 farm dogs and 1 puppy born end of September. Many helpers fall in love with Ted a beardie/huntaway breed of dog. He is always getting pats and is our most photographed pet.

We live on a sheep and deer farm about 30 minute drive to Greymouth. We love the outdoor attractions on the west coast. Loads of stunning walks, caving, biking and adventure to be had.

One of my biggest enjoyments is showing others what we cook for dinner and then sitting down and eating as a family. We enjoy sharing stories and laughs over a cup of tea. We can explain a few aspects of farming if you are interested in knowing more. We like talking while having a cup of tea. ... more inside

Looking for someone who is keen to work with animals or in the garden and not afraid to get their hands dirty!!

My husband (32) and I (30) own a dairy farm running 250 cows on the west coast of the South Island. We are situated right on the bush line and get a gorgeous view of the southern alps. Spring time - when the calves arrive (August - October), is our busiest time of the year. We rear all of the calves and milk the cows once a day in the morning times. We've also recently become a family of 3, our daughter is 2.5 yrs old. We'd love to host someone that is either interested in the farming side of things, rearing calves, fencing, spraying weeds, feeding out (general farm tasks) OR minding our daughter, taking her for walks or just entertaining her, along with jobs around the house, windows etc, possibly some cooking if you like cooking! Im also a keen vege gardner - which always needs some TLC.
It would be great if helpers could work at least 4-5hrs per day, for each ni... more inside

I would like to host people with tidy habits, I have a twin single room, and a double room with a queen size bed. available in return for a few hours work per day.
I am a retired, and do a lot of wood carving.

I am looking for people to help out in the vegetable garden over the summer months. Also splitting and stacking firewood, housework, lawn mowing, I grow organic vegetables fruit etc. I would like to host one or two people for three to five days at a time, maybe longer. I may also at times need people that can house sit my large dog, while I do some MC touring.
