+++++++++++++ Come and experience a beautiful NZ coastal farm +++++++++++++

We are currently looking for one or two people to come and help out about the place. Mostly in the house and garden.

About us - we are a family of five with three children aged 5, 8 & 10 yrs. We live in Lavericks Bay, where we run a 1500 hectare sheep and cattle farm, and tourist accommodation in the form of a glamping site - http://www.canopycamping.co.nz/lavericks-bay

Lavericks Bay is about 35 min from the historic township of Akaroa, and 1.75hrs from Christchurch. Lavericks Bay has a population of nine people (five being us) so there is plenty of peace and quiet. We also have a lovely sandy, safe swimming beach where you may spot seals, Hector Dolphins, our resident Yellow Eyed Penguin, and plenty of other birdlife. We have a kayak you may also use which is great fun for exploring and surfing in the waves, weather permitting... Also we have new lambs and calves being born right now. Super cute!

Kia Ora.
We love sharing our paradise on a privately owned wildlife reserve with helpers from all over the world. It gives us the chance of virtual travel, learning from the wonderful people who temporarily share our valley.

***Seeking Helpers Now. Two hours a day in exchange for your own cabin.***

***Also seeking house sitters for late Jan/Feb ***

Most of the help we need throughout the year is to maintain our gardens and orchards around the homestead. We operate sustainably which requires intensive labour and results in healthy food to share.

If you can help, we can offer accommodation in our rustic self-contained cabin. We can supply some homegrown food, however, you will need to be prepared to provide most of your own meals.

We are kiwis who have a passion for the natural environment, creative activities and sharing with people. We can share the flora and fauna of Banks Peninsula, fresh eggs, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and choices of walking tracks through n... more inside

Hi there

Thank you for stopping by ;) ...

We live in a beautiful farmhouse in Goughs Bay, 15-minute drive from Akaroa. We are looking for someone to help us with some gardening work. If you love organic produce, and want to learn and experience a sustainable lifestyle during your stay in New Zealand than this is the right place for you. Ideally, we would prefer someone with some experience in gardening and landscape design. If you don't have any prior experience as such but willing to learn, get your hands dirty and share your creative ideas, then you are welcome as well.

You will get to enjoy New Zealand farm life and meet our sheep, pet lamp Kulwani and little guy, Brian - the giant, our pet dogs Bella and Ruby and farm dog BOB ;) Of-course, you will also meet our chickens - Margaret, Brown girl, Marry, Princess, Rocky and so on. The last but not the least you will get a chance to feed our ducks - lucky and the flock ;)

We offer free accommodation (your own private ... more inside

Fancy waking up to a lovely sea view? We live in a beautiful spot, 10 mins drive from Akaroa, close to Duvauchelle and just over an hour from Christchurch. We can offer lovely accommodation separate to our house to one or two people willing to lend a hand with general spring clean/ DIY/ gardening duties. 4 and a half hours (hard) work every day you stay in exchange for accommodation and (good!) food -whether you are a meat eater/vegetarian.

Gnnerally, stays of a few nights or a week are usually more suitable for us than long term helpers although we have had some exceptional helpers who stayed for longer periods and this may be a possibility. We can pick up from the Akaroa Shuttle and sometimes Christchurch.

We have lots to do in the garden: digging, weeding planting, clearing etc. Sometimes, but not so often, we need help with general spring cleaning: house washing, window cleaning, shed tidy.
We could do with some help with garden work at the moment including shift... more inside

We are looking for a Helper or two that can start anytime.

We live on a beautiful property surrounded by native bush. We have large gardens, fruit and nut trees, also berry fruits and more.

We have a stream running through the property which we'll eventually use to generate power, already have solar set up. Now generating hot water from our fire - for free - and shower inside!

We're looking for happy easygoing people to help us out with daily tasks. We keep this place pretty well maintained so nothing is too hard or laborious.

Accommodation here is an almost finished self-contained colonial style sleepout, it has a loft which can sleep 2, also bedding for one or two downstairs.

Oh, we have a wee one named Evie. . she's 6, and awesome! Very friendly, fun and loves people!

One thing we do ask, is that we prefer if people arrive in the morning and not evening.

4 - 5 hrs per day and we don't usually ask people to work in the rain.

We cook nice meals!

Give us... more inside
