We run a yurt camp site, with 4 Yurts and a Shepherd`s Hut. We`re looking for a competent person or a couple who can help us with the yurts (a "Green" environmentally award winning site which we`ve been running for 8 years), as well as work in the meadow, around the garden and maintaining the farm buildings. Whilst not registered organic, we have an organic sensibility and don`t use any chemicals on the land.

We (Kim and Nick) live in Suffolk, in the East of England, in a 17th century renovated farmhouse and have a small, elderly, dog - no other animals. The house and our 5 acres is very rural; buses run past the front door to the nearest town of Halesworth (3 miles) with good shops and an arts centre, and beyond to the beach at Southwold and to Beccles, a bustling town at the southern end of the Norfolk Broads. There`s a station 2 miles away, a bus stop (one mile away) to the lively city of Norwich and we have bicycles to borrow. Our village of Westhall is quiet with a smal... more inside

**Looking for help from October Onwards!**

We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery in a small village beside the coast in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here.

Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves working in the garden with general maintenance and tending to our raised beds and greenhouse or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc The nature and duration of the work varies depending on how busy we are. In the summer and at school holidays, the work will be in the kitchen. We also need some help cleaning the pub in the mornings before we open at 11am.

Generally we ask for 25 hours per week, and someti... more inside

Converting a new van (Renault Master) to a off-grid rustic campervan.

I'm currently away travelling so start times would be around December. However, get in touch with your availability as my dates often change.

Skill sets I really need are good carpentry skills, wood staining techniques and working with reclaimed wood. Plumbing skills.

However, general diy skills, enthusiasm and interest would be good too.

In return, you get a large bright room in my home, which I share with three other lodgers and my girlfriend. It`s situated in inner vibrant hackney.

If you have strong skill-set we can negotiate terms, including a longer stay once the work is finished, and there may be the possibility of renumeration. It`s a peaceful house. Generally, you self-cater, using the food in the kitchen to cook your own meals.

The house is in inner-city London and there are a huge amount of free activities that can be found on https://www.meetup.com/topics/london/gb/17/london/ ... more inside

Hi, we are John and Stephanie, semi-retired active hosts interested in history, art, poetry and folk music as well as farming. We are looking forward hosting friendly sociable volunteers so we can also learn about your life and culture.
Are you available to help us for a few weeks and learn more about our old-fashioned way of life?
Do you like horses and other animals? We need help with stable duties, field work, gardening and some housework. You will live in our home as part of the family which sometimes includes our elderly mother and our son. In exchange for around 5 hours work per day (flexible) we offer full board and all meals are included. We cook good quality meals from basic ingredients and mostly buy locally sourced produce and are happy to cater for vegetarians as many of our meals are vegetarian. Please note we only accept non smokers. Our home is an unmodernised quirky Victorian farmhouse full of antiquity situated on the edge of a small farming village in the M... more inside
