I am not able to take helpers until June 2018; it will be my last year as a host. I am the owner of a cottage with 10 acres of land keeping sheep, geese & 2 ponies. Situated close to Abergavenny in the Brecon Beacons National Park it is easy to get to from major cities by public transport. I can provide an opportunity for a foreign female (non smoker) to improve spoken English and see a great part of Wales.

My hosting is ideal for someone who is self motivated and is happy to be outside in the fresh air. Time can be spent walking my dog and grooming my 2 ponies. You can enjoy nature, I have many books to help identify the plants growing wild in the area.

Help with general housework and some painting & decorating would be appreciated. Someone who enjoys cooking would be ideal, I am happy to help in the kitchen. My favourite food is Chinese/Thai so a helper from Asia would be great!

I like helpers to stay for a minimum period of 14 days. The hours can be flexible and ... more inside

Last place available for 2018 from 3rd September to 15 October.
Welcome to wales. Stay on a farm and help to look after Sled dogs and Sheep dogs. If you want to, you can also learn about dog training, handling and grooming in your spare time.

This is a peaceful and secluded farm in the Welsh countryside ( with WiFi ), a quiet place to get away from it all, maybe do some meditation and get in touch with nature.
Dog Training, Dog Handler training, Rehabilitating aggressive dogs, and Sheepdog training are some of the things I work at.

The work is, cleaning out the kennels, refreshing water bowls, carrying buckets, walking the dogs 2 times a day ( Once in the morning, and again in the afternoon ), and then letting the dogs out again last thing each night just before bedtime, and a little help around the farm and in the house if needed, sawing or carrying logs to the house for the fire, washing up etc.

4 hours of work a day maximum - 2 hours in the morning, and 1 1/2 hours i... more inside

Help wanted! Summer and beyond!

We have meadows, pasture, woodland, lakes and stunning views of both sea and mountain. We are starting to grow veg, meat and eggs and milk.

We want to live in the more beautiful world that our hearts know can exist. We are just starting out and this is on a small and sustainable human scale that we hope will provide food and fuel for visitors to the farm and the local community. We are using holistic management, permaculture and traditional methods.

As well as being productive, we want this to be a place where people can come and slow down for a while, to think about what matters in the world and what the world needs us to give back.

We have only been here for a few years and have had two babies (soon to have a third) and put a roof on the house, so much of this is aspirational, but we will get there (especially with your help).

We have a young family and so some of the time you would be left to your own devices for... more inside

We are in the beautiful countryside on the Isle of Anglesey. We have holiday cottages on a 3acre site which is mainly devoted to trees and wildlife. The Island is very beautiful and quiet. There are loads of beaches, many miles of footpath and cycle routes. Your accommodation would be in a very well appointed modern caravan. It has two bedrooms, shower room, kitchen, and lounge. More details can be seen on our website. It is called Caravan 2. You would supply your own food. Cooking facilities are provided, gas and electric are included. We would expect you to work 10 hours per week or 2 hours on a daily basis, on gardening cleaning and maintenance.

We are a working farm and holiday park above Monkstone beach and within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There is a small young team here full time.

We are looking for one or two people to help on the farm and park. You will be required to do a variety of jobs including working with the team, helping with farm work especially lambing, helping with feeding animals, gardening, cleaning and D.I.Y. Overall you need to be enthusiastic, motivated and use your initiative. We will provide everything so you will be happy and can enjoy your time here. Its a great place!!!

Visiting Pembrokeshire and in particular staying here would suit people who enjoy the outdoors, nature, hiking, water sports etc. There is so much to do in the surrounding area.

Converted barn with land. We`re looking to clear this - ready to plant trees and get it ready for a few pet sheep.
Large comfortable home, with part holiday cottage in a beautiful location within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Excellent walking and nature. Poor mobile phone signal but good wifi.
We`re looking for someone to clear bramble / bracken and possibly put up some fencing + generally help spruce the place up.
You`d have your own room and share the place with 2 men (one of whom speaks good Spanish and German with a little French also) We have 2 friendly dogs.
We`ll happily provide meals (mostly vegetarian). We like good food and are pretty good cooks, one of runs bread classes from home to so you`ll get the chance to learn a new skill!
Ideally we`d like someone to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks up to 2 months. If return we`d like 20 hours a week spent helping out.
We`re 6 miles from the nearest towns (Crickhowell or Talgarth). The nearest railway is Aberg... more inside

We are a 19 acre smallholding 700 ft up a mountain North of Swansea and south of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We have a burgeoning forest garden and grow medicinal herbs, Its a creative, magical sacred place with lots of history, opportunities for walks and waterfalls. We have four children, chickens, and bees and a lurcher dog. We need help with gardening, fencing, brambling and fruit picking, building ponds and building maintenance. We are doing up a barn to run workshops and need help clearing and sorting. Work would be for 2-3 hours a day with the weekend off. You would provide your own food in the daytime, and we would provide evening meal, although help with cooking is appreciated. It would suit people looking for a quiet retreat, and sometimes we will be busy, so it is helpful if you enjoy your own company. Accommodation is basic camping at the moment, with yurt and compost loo, and use of bathroom in main house. It is a very rural setting, with the local town a 35 mi... more inside
