We are a registered organisation founded in 2015 thanks to the help of my family and my friends.
As being aware that there is a pressing need to Speak mores languages for a better life on both social and professional level, we are trying to help the local community (mainly young people) by teaching them modern languages and by promoting cultural exchange between different nationalities.

- Improve the skills that they had already get at school.
Volunteers are free to teach them way they like.
We give priority to "natives" or "qualified" volunteers

Hello, my name is Ahmed and I live and work near to the village of Tagounite in the south of Morocco. I have a house and some land which has a lot of potential, and I seek volunteers to help me realise this potential. There are established date palms, and if we work to clean the well, maintain the irrigation system and work the land we can grow other crops and vegetables. Part of the house is restored, other parts need renovating, hopefully to create a hostel or guest house. I also welcome you to see something of traditional life here in the south of Morocco.

The house is located about half an hour by foot from Tagounite, between Tagounite and the desert.

Detail of the work:
Depending on the time of year help needed might involve harvesting the date fruits, tidying up the palm trees by removing dead leaves and all year round the trees require watering with our traditional irrigation system.

The irrigation system also needs to be maintained, kept clear of the sand and deb... more inside

My name is Khalid, I`m 35 and I live in Tagounite (65km from Zagora) with my family in a farmhouse that belonged to my father. Life is everywhere here, we have many animals (dogs, cats, donkey, sheep, chickens ...), gardens, growing vegetables, date palms and olive trees as well tamaris.

There is a lot of work to do here and any help will be very helpful. The farm is very large, I have many projects in mind to improve and develop the site but I need motivated people to move forward. The terrain is also very large (5 hectares) perfect for growing vegetables, alfalfa, wheat and date palm.

He`s there potable running water, a sink, toilet and shower and a steam room.

I need manpower and experience in agriculture and the development of my farm, I am open to the concept of permaculture and organic farming. We never use chemicals here. Want to share the good ideas and put it all in place. If you feel motivated you to help me here do not hesitate to write me.

I also know very we... more inside

This is a friendly, Berber family-run guesthouse situated in the city of Zagora, otherwise known as the Gateway to the Desert. Established in 2014, we strive to provide the true Moroccan experience for our guests, many whom we have remained friends with even after their stay. I am Mustapha Chouaki, a Berber native of the desert, and I'll be glad to welcome you to stay with me in the guesthouse and explore the Sahara desert on trips in exchange for help with emails/marketing and general admin around the guesthouse (e.g. breakfast, serving guests). I speak English, French, Arabic and Berber. Having hosted volunteers for a year I am familiar with working holiday programs and can promise you an immersive, friendly environment.

Hi, I am Hassan, a nomad and grew up in the desert.
I live in the desert 12 km from tagounite in a nomad house in a little, abandoned nomad village in a beautifull oasis. We are happy to receive people to help us build this house. I will teach you the nomad life style and house building, making bricks, currently we are making bedrooms, a new kitchen and renovating a part of the terrace. We would love to learn about permaculture so we can fight the drought here. We have a livingroom and bedrooms and since a few weeks a new bathroom. We started to grow our own vegetables. We have 3 meals a day. The food we make here is varied and a lot.
It's very calm here and remote and the village is mostly empty. Shower is with bucket warm water.
Soon I will make our own hamam.
We work max 3 hours a day.
I am happy to take you on desert tour with me and show you the desert I grew up in.

A few times a week I go to tagounite, you can join me for shopping. There's a market twice a week.

Welcome to Morocco Animal Aid. We are an animal rescue & rehabilitation shelter located in Assersif. A rural, no frills, berber village located just outside the bustling village of Aourir, otherwise known as Banana Village.

By working with us you will learn 1st hand the pleasures & hardships of the animals in our care.
You will be contributing to help create a shift towards a safer, healthier, happier future for the animals of Morocco. We are a family here. But we work hard. Really hard. The work is smelly, noisy, dirty & physical. But the reward will always outweigh the sacrifice. We are here for them. You are making a difference.

Our shelter is run entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers come from all over the globe & are from all walks of life. Without our volunteers, our shelter does not run.
Our volunteer schedule is never the same. Some weeks we are overflowing with volunteers. Other weeks we really struggle. Whichever the scenario, we need to ensure that we are ad... more inside
