I have a small 46 hectare sheep and beef farm which we farm to suit our lifestyle. I also organise an annual charity event called the Great NZ Trek which takes up a lot of my time so we would love to have someone come and stay to help out window cleaning, hedge trimming and a very small garden. I have a couple of horses for experienced riders and a couple of farm dogs. We live 30 kms from Hastings township and prefer you have your own transport. You will have your own room with plenty of privacy and access to your own shower/toilet. You are welcome to use the kitchen for cooking or if you like what I eat I can cook for you. Your help will be very much appreciated.

Our property is a lifestyle block nestled into a very picturesque valley near the Kaweka Mountain range, approximately 50 km from both Hastings and Napier. 5 hectares is a 25 year old pine forest, the remaining land includes a home orchard, large garden full of bird song and grazing for our 4 horses, small herd of miniature Galloway cattle, 10 sheep, 1 donkey, and 7 ducks. We also have a friendly dog and a not always so friendly black and white cat!

The help we need is mostly outdoors, but there are always indoor options in wet weather. We would expect 4 hours help per day for free board and all meals. We are totally flexible on the 4 hours, 8 hours one day for the next day off is fine. Given we are out of town sightseeing on a day off is an option.

Having your own transport is not 'a must', we are often in and out of both Hastings and Napier, but it will give you independence and more options for exploring in your free time.

You will not need specific experience or skills... more inside

25 minutes from Hastings on a limestone ridge, we are a sheep and beef fattening farm, we also rear calves, milk cows and we are horse riders. We run riding programmes in school holidays, we show jump and hunt, so there may be riding opportunities for capable riders. Looking for people to help on farm (general farm duties), with horses, mustering, dogs, shearing and gardening.
At the moment we are needing help rearing calves.

We love having people from different cultures, you will get your own double room in the house with views down to the sea (one room is an en-suite) and share meals with the family. We're a pretty chilled household and enjoy a good laugh.

We are about to start calving so there will be lots of little mouths to feed! We also currently have puppies so if you're an animal lover we would love to hear from you!

This is a sheep & beef farm 35 minutes from Waipukurau and is a 20 minute drive from beautiful Porangahau beach.

Ben and Libby lived in London, UK, for several years & travelled extensively before returning to the farm 8 years ago. We live here with our three boys (7 years, 5 years and 1 year old). Life on the farm is busy & there is always a lot to do.

We also have a glampsite (luxury campsite) guest accommodation business on the farm which is busy over summer and was featured in Life & Leisure Magazine in Jan/Feb 2017.

We would love to share our beautiful & peaceful part of the world with helpers who are happy to be in their own separate accommodation (see the little white house in the pictures), have a vehicle (we are 45km from Waipukurau), are mature, hard working, friendly & have a can-do attitude. Ideally couples or two friends.

In return for 4 hours work per day in the morning, we will give you $ for food and you would stay in your own cottage & self cater. Th... more inside

We are a young couple looking for another young couple to rear our calfs for a minimum of 6 weeks. This includes a 1-2 hour morning feed and 1- 2 hour evening feed. You will be shown how to feed the calfs normally 12 calls in each pen and about 7 pens. You will need some warm clothes that will get dirty and some gum boots. It`s important to us that the calfs are cared for with compassion and patience. Andrew who runs the farm will also need help with the odd jobs around the farm and planting out new garden. In return you get a bedroom that you can share with your partner, private bathroom and food etc. we hope to hear from you soon.
