Welcome to beautiful New Zealand!!!

We are looking for someone now or/and between late November and January (would consider someone for longer than two weeks if desired) as I am travelling back to Germany and my husband would love someone to help around the house as that time is a very busy 'farming' season!

We are a German-Kiwi Farming Couple who live with their 4 months old daughter in one of the most beautiful places of the North Island. We are currently looking for 1 person who would like to help for four hours a day. The main jobs we need help with at the moment are gardening, cleaning and other odd jobs. Initially, we invite you to stay a couple of days and if we all get on well you are welcome to stay until we have no more work up to a maximum of two weeks.

In return we offer a spacious, warm room in our house, food (we do really appreciate help/ turns with cooking and /or washing up), internet, use of everything in the house, lot's of animal time and knowledge and ... more inside

Welcome!

I AM PUTTING MY LISTING ON HOLD UNTIL MID-DECEMBER 2018

Life has changed... in all ways: I have packed up a 5 bedroom house and a fibre studio into two containers.

I have moved to the Hawke's Bay, halfway between Gisborne anNapier.

I currently live next door to my (almost) land, which WILL need a lot of work when I have finished my studies (mid-December)

I am going tiny...! Container home or Tiny House. Still deciding!

I WILL NEED HELP TO:

- Help with the Tiny project
- Help with the kitchen which only has the bones and the doors
- Help with establishing the gardens and the different areas that will eventually 'live' on my land (studio/workshop; tiny container home; cow shed-milk, butter, cheese; bee hives; fruit trees; organic vegetable gardens, etc).
- Help with writing a log.

My initial plan to build a container home has changed slightly - still tiny, but I think I will be going the tiny house route, as long as I ... more inside

We are a family with 6 children: 13, 11, 9, 7, 4 and 2 (older 3 are girls and younger 3 are boys). We homeschool our children (Waldorf/Steiner method). The children play instruments so there is lots of music (suzuki method). Stephen works fulltime, and I work part-time. We are an active family. Children bike places and love to play sport (hockey, netball, cricket, tennis, scouts and cubs), we have a tennis court across the road and park around the corner.
We love nature, camping and tramping and get out when we can (Will depend on space in the car if we can take you, or you can take children out perhaps).
We are close to the town centre (15 min walk).
We eat mostly organic and bio-dynamic food all made at home, some grown in our garden. You can learn to make sourdough bread, yoghurt, perhaps cheese, saurkraut or other healthy fermented foods. We eat mostly gluten-free and grind our own flour.

The help we need is hanging and bringing in washing, cooking/food preparation, ... more inside

We offer an authentic Hawkes Bay family owned working sheep and beef farm experience. We are located 40 minutes from SW of Hastings which is our main service town. Your accommodation will be in the three bedroom farm cottage a short walk from our house. We do most of the farm work ourselves so an occasional helping hand is very much appreciated. The work is varied and depends on the time of the year but will mainly include maintaining the farm, the houses and the gardens. It could also include work with hobby bee hives if you are interested. We like to eat our own homegrown meat and vegetables whenever possible. Our three children come home from their jobs or university reasonably regularly and help also.

Anissa and I share a peaceful cottage with a small bear (aka rocky the dog) in dreamy Te Awanga. Together we run an organic chocolate shop in nearby Hastings which takes a lot of our time so we're looking for helpers to help with the garden and to finish some little renovations at home. you will be accommodated in a tidy sleep out with it's own bathroom and shower. We have a pretty good outdoor kitchen, bath and shower too. the beach is a 5 min stroll down the street and there's a great surf spot there too. Lots of projects happening and always something to do. There's also a mini super market 10mins bike ride away And if you need to work on any of your own projects we have a great workshop at home and a collective space in town. Te Awanga is a great community and there's usually a beach fire to enjoy with a beer and some company most weekends. Thanks for taking time to read this and we look forward to hearing from you! We have a lovely property overlooking Napier, with a large garden and several paddocks. The work we need is tidying up around our property - gardens, fences, and trees.
We have a friendly dog who also loves meeting new people. We are an English couple who have been in NZ for 14 years. We loved our time travelling, and we enjoy meeting others who are wanting to experience New Zealand.
Our helper accommodation is in a separate flat next to the house. We are not vegetarian but can cater for someone who is.
We live about 5 to 10 minutes drive from Napier, and 20 minutes from Hastings. There are no buses to our place. Non smokers only please.
