We are Scott, Ana, Zak (5), and Indy (4). We are very family orientated people and have a large extended family in our area who we spend a lot of time with - grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins. We live on a farm in Ngawi in the beautiful South Wairarapa, New Zealand. Scott manages the large hill country rugged farm and Ana works full time managing there 2 childcare centres. Part of the farm activities include a 3 day walk with the most amazing views, a Glamping site, and 2 holiday houses so as you can imagine we lead very busy and fun lives. We work hard but often spend weekends away, at the beach in our caravan, in the city, up the mountain, at sports events, concerts etc. Never a dull moment in our lives, we are very social and active people. We love welcoming people into our family and home - we have often had farm and teaching students live with us while studying and experiencing the farm and childcare first hand. These people will forever be apart of our family.

Looking for Helpx from Feb 2019 the work will be physical and outdoors. It might be good if some days you work a full day and then have a full day off to sight see.
Linden and John have a half acre residential house, flat land, grass and trees. Work would be weeding, mowing, cleaning house, digging, cleaning exterior of house, painting. If there are skilled landscapers, we could do with some ideas in a few areas. there are three spare bedrooms so we could accommodate varying helpers. We are non smokers so would appreciate no smoking around the house and we do not take people for less than a week. There is lovely indoor outdoor living. Meal ideas are always welcome- especially a meal cooked by helpers, and typical of their country. We are 50 minutes from wellington, a 25 minute drive to the Tararua ranges for good hiking and Kayaking you could organise a visiting Kapiti Island bird sanctuary or Karori bird sanctuary; walk or bike through Queen Elizabeth park, it's a 10 minute walk o... more inside

We are an Urban family of 4 and a dog. We have 2 lovely children aged 7 and 11. We need some help for a couple of weeks (this can be negotiated) with gardening. We would love a helper who is great with kids and dogs too. In exchange for 3-4 hours of work a day you will be provided with a warm room with a single bed, lots of storage and unlimited wifi. All meals will also be provided. We do not eat much meat and try and eat as organic as possible. Our house is a 10 minute drive from the vibrant city and is also very close to bus stops with quick access into the city. There is also a bike available to use and there are lots of beautiful walks near out home. We need a helper from the 3rd of December.

Hi there travelers,
My wife and I are developing a self sustainable small farm on 25 acres.
We farm sheep for meat, wool and milk. Goats for milk to make yoghurt and cheese. Chickens for eggs. We also grow and make our own hay for our animals and the equine market and to pay for expenses.
We are currently developing three permaculture kitchen gardens to provide us with vegetables, fruit, berries and nuts all year round. We are also slowly planting out the edges of our natural ponds and wet lands to improve the water and encourage the native wet land birds to stay and breed. Our farm has unimpeded expansive views over farm land and onto the Tararua ranges (Mountains)
Im a passionate cyclist (road and Mountain)and my wife rides horses (we have three)

Carterton township is a short walk from our farm. The township is equipped with cafes, restaurants, supermarket, library, swimming baths and lots of awesome charity shops.
We also have a great mountain bike park just up the roa... more inside

Being a Helpx host is like travelling - but the world comes to me! There are so many great people from around the world who I get to meet. I like to make them feel really welcome, and help them enjoy their time in Wellington. The bonus is now I've got lots of friends to visit in Europe and elsewhere! I have been a host since 2013, (with travel breaks) and I love it!

I am doing renovating, so there are practical things to do on the house, in the garden, or inside. There is something to suit your skills! I enjoy teaching new skills to others. I am flexible about working hours. Approximately half a ... more inside

Work around here consists of general farm work, gardening, and a variety of jobs around the house.

We have a large beautiful home and rural property 25 minutes from downtown Wellington.
You will have your own double room & bathroom with beautiful views of the South Island across Cook Straight as well as the Tararua Mountain Range to the North. Remote location but only 10 minutes drive from Pauatahanui Village.
Our property includes 1.2 hectares of pristine native bush filled with native birds.
Our household is busy, fun & noisy, but our location is peaceful.
Our ideal helper is a hard worker who is friendly and sociable, but also happy to look after themselves.
We speak french, a little spanish & Maori.

Hello helpers out there,

We are a young Belgian family living on a lovely lifestyle block in rural Kaitoke. We have three children Lena (6yrs), Morris (3.5yrs) and Rosa (1yr). Our animal menagerie consists of sheep, chickens, two Belted Galloway steers and Muscat, our cat.

We are a 15 min. drive away from Upper Hutt and can do pick ups from the train station.

The Tararua Forest Park, the Rimutaka Rail Trail and Kaitoke Regional Park (Rivendell) are only a couple of minutes away from our house.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive person to stay with us for about one week mainly to help with general household jobs like vacuuming, cleaning windows, babysitting, cooking, tidying etc. There might also be the odd job with the animals or in the garden.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Anna, Fred, Lena, Morris & Rosa
