We're a pretty relaxed home, 2 adults 1 8 year old boy, 1 dogs and a cow. We live by the sea in the marlborough sounds, go boating and exploring when we're not gardening or collecting fruit from our orchard.. Our property is 18ha and we have mostly trees on the place. We love to cook and drink wine, and beer and entertain. The projects we have on the go at the moment are pruning trees, weed eating, and some boat maintenance...You'll have your own accommodation in the beautiful tent/yurt you see in the picture...you'll eat your meals with us. We love having people stay, its easier if your english is good but we'll do our best!!

We are in Endeavour Inlet, right on the Queen Charlotte Track. Our home is surrounded by native bush, small streams with views over the sounds and is a convenient stop off point for people wanting to walk the Queen Charlotte Track or short sections of it

Our property is a small life style block with a holiday house, 3 sleep outs, 2 organic vegetable gardens in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. Apart from a beehive we are not engaged in any sort of farming but are active members of the local conservation trust. We are keen conservationists and are happy to share our knowledge of the area and keen to learn about other cultures and places.
While we spent about 10 days a month here we do not live here permanently hence there are always plenty of tasks that need doing from mowing lawns to painting and maintaining our buildings and firewood chopping.

Our preference is for mature, independent individuals prepared to work 4 hrs in the morning. We have a few gardening, building & pa... more inside

We are looking for two or more people who would like to join our team in a remote (access only be boat) part of the Marlborough Sounds.

Predominantly the work would be to help out with cooking staff meals. This would be a perfect opportunity for someone who loves cooking and is possibly considering a career in the food industry. We also have projects in the garden and other interesting things going on if the applicant wanted some variety of work this is the place.

This is a live in position with all meals and accommodation provided. If you like the outdoors, tramping, swimming, kayaking, or just enjoying the peace and quiet of the outdoors on your days off this is the helpx position for you. A good sense of humour, good work ethic and ability to get along with others is essential.

We look forward to hearing from you!
