hello, I have a a small permaculture property in Koonwarra, near Inverloch, South Gippsland. I live in a bush environment near the coast. The wild life and bird life are superb. I have vegie gardens, about fifty fruit trees, a hot house, all needing some help. I also need carpentry help to renovate a food storage shed, wood splitting and house maintenance. Until recently, I was highly involved with farmers' markets as a stall holder, using as much of my own produce as possible, so my place became a little neglected. I follow organic principles. My owner built house is tiny but gorgeous. Your accommodation would be in a separate, very private and equally lovely bungalow with delightful views. The bathroom is shared but the access is easy and private. There is NBN internet access. Your own car would be invaluable but not essential. I would prefer older helpers. Excellent food is imperative to me. l love vegetarian cooking, and am able to accommodate any dietary requirements. In return... more inside

We are located just 1 hour (35km) north of Melbourne's CBD in a picturesque and peaceful community called Arthurs Creek. Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our mid 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals or couples to help with general gardening and maintenance around and in the house. Jobs might include: weeding, pruning, household cleaning, window cleaning, firewood collection, fencing, painting etc (please do let us know if you have any trades or handy experience as we hav... more inside

COBURG, MELBOURNE
We are a family of two adults and 2 children.

We are passionate about organic permaculture gardening and composting and are involved with working in events. We are seeking help with a range of things from gardening, child caring, cooking, landscaping, labouring to small business management so welcome someone with one or many of these skills.

Our home is close to both train and tram networks in a multicultural area of inner city Melbourne. We have a lovely space in a studio with a composting toilet and private shower and simple kitchenette. Wifi yes.

We are flexible in the working eXchange though base it around this expectation: 4 hours work for 5 days of the week with 3 meals provided (helping to prepare/clear up after dinner is not part of the 4 hours). On the 2 days off a week, which are preferably weekends we provide breakfast and encourage you to go exploring. Some of your hours will be required to work in the evenings to look after the kids.

Hello and welcome to beautiful Monbulk.

GENERAL: There are several DIY projects on the go and it is not expected that one person can do all the work. I look forward to hearing from any skilled and experienced Helpx candidates that can do tree pruning and lopping, or have a passion for gardening, planting, building pathways and steps, help with painting projects, roof cleaning, installing storm water plumbing and guttering, refinishing a deck.

At this stage I am open to applications to stay from 7th January onwards

I have accommodation available for a couple or two travelling friends or single male or female helpers. There is a queen sized bedroom which has a separate entrance and is located on the ground floor of the property. You would also have your own bathroom. You would be required to clean your bedroom and bathroom once a fortnight and keep it tidy generally. Cleaning includes vacuuming, moping, dusting, cleaning a toilet, a basin and a shower recess.

As a young family we moved into this beautiful property about a year ago. Our dream is to be self-sufficient while being able to respect and protect the native eco-system that Australian bush has to offer. We are learning as we go the principles of permaculture. We are trying to use native plants as much as possible. We are hoping to reach one day zero waste.

We are looking for one or two volunteers at a time to help in our garden and veggie patch using permaculture and bio-dynamic principles, looking after fruit trees (pruning, picking). We will from time to time need some ... more inside

We have renovated a luxurious historic homestead located on edge of Shepparton in Victoria which has some B&B accommodation. The garden is 2 hectares with forests, a lake and a sunken garden. It is used for weddings, garden tours, wedding receptions and small functions. It is located 180km north of Melbourne in the heart of the fruit and wine region of Victoria and 40 minutes from the mighty Murray River. To view photos of the property go to the website listed above and a video of the property on YouTube. Our garden was in the Australian open garden scheme for 20 years and is often used for charity events. It is very large to maintain in peak condition and we would love you to come and assist us with the garden and homestead maintenance. In particular our organic vegie garden becomes overgrown very quickly at times and we use the produce from this to feed our guests or make home made preserves, pickles and chutneys. Dependent on the time of year your stay could involve anything fro... more inside
