We are a family of three living on 1/2 an acre and surrounded by bushland, rainforest and wineries - it is an incredible area. We have an organic vegetable garden, a native garden, lots of fruit trees and now extending more vege gardens. We are a well traveled family, musical, environmentally sustainable and creative.

We are looking for 1 or 2 people to help with our 4 yr old son and basic gardening. We still have more garden beds to build, weeding, planting etc.

Our son is very friendly who loves to play outdoors. Work would include either playing with our son whilst I work from home or gardening (watering, weeding, planting, shoveling).

We eat organic plant-based and have a cat who is shy and just sleeps all day. There are lots of native animals in the area - you will see kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras, parrots, wombats, echidnas, lyrebirds, galahs, cockatoos, horses, goats, larma etc

We live in a four bedroom house and you would have your own bedroom and share b... more inside

We're currently booked out until mid November.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
- managing our backyard vegie garden
- maintaining our other gardens (weeding, pruning)
- caring for our chickens
- dumpster diving and washing food and preparing communal meals

I expect only 2 good hours of work per day, on average. So you could work an 8 hour day and then have 3 free days.

If you are Japanese or speak Japanese then I would love someone to teach me the language. I'm currently at a beginner's level, having studied for only 1 month.

PEOPLE AND PLACES:

We are 4 guys and 1 girl, aged 24-37, sharing this harmonious homely house in Moonee Ponds. We are friendly and relaxed people and this is reflected in the vibe of the house. The bungalow is available for guests and all bedding is provided. It is basic accommodation. Helpers can use the kitchen, washing machine and WiFi, etc. - make yourself at home! There is also a bicycle for you to use.

I prefer to host helpers who will stay for two weeks or longer. This room is available from November 4th.

I live in a two storey townhouse with two young children. There is a small outdoor space. The helper would have a room to themselves with a comfortable queen size bed, built in robe and small side table/lamp.

There is only one bathroom at this property but it has a large shower and bath.

The property is walking distance from Highpoint shopping centre and a ten minute walk from a tram stop which takes you into the CBD (40min tram journey).

I would like to exchange accomodation, some meals (we are vegetarian), and access to wifi for some help around the house. Mostly housework, cooking and some childminding. I would be looking for ~20-25 hours per week in return for accomodation, meals and wifi.

It is important to me and my family that our helper is a non smoker, LGBTIQA+ friendly, vegetarian or very familiar with cooking and eating vegetarian food and will not c... more inside

Hi Travellers, My name is Tom and I have 28 hectares (70 Acres) of regrowth forest in Glenlyon, Victoria, with a couple of cleared hectares in which the residence and gardens sit overlooking the river flat.

It is burning off season, so i'm having fun with bonfires..
The river flat is in the process of being cleaned up, quite a bit of fallen timber is being sliced up and taken to the woodyard.
The property is off grid, solar powered, aiming for self sufficiency, and full of interesting wildlife.
My main short term aim is to clean up the area around the house of fallen timber in preparation for the coming fire season. I am rushing about making the place bushfire safe setting up a circle of water throwers and getting places ready to install a couple more water tanks. So I'm burning off and cutting wood and chugging around on a tractor dragging things around. Clearing the blackberries, and lugging the trailer full of logs up to the woodyard and get it full and ready for winter. ... more inside

We are located just 1 hour (35km) north of Melbourne's CBD in a picturesque and peaceful community called Arthurs Creek. Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our mid 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals or couples to help with general gardening and maintenance around and in the house. Jobs might include: weeding, pruning, household cleaning, window cleaning, firewood collection, fencing, painting etc (please do let us know if you have any trades or handy experience as we hav... more inside
