Because there are many difficulties for travellers now, we are offering a long-term arrangement for a couple eg 3 to 6 months or however long.
Help with house and garden for 10hrs per week each
Accommodation in a self-contained studio which includes kitchen, en-suite and wifi. No meals provided but there is a food garden to share and we would enjoy sharing the occasional meal but we are keen to share time just as a couple, as well. We enjoy quiet times together and are busy with our own hobbies and projects which is why we usually accept helpx for just one week at a time and not very often.

A car is necessary as we are 4km from town, train and bus. Most beaches and National Parks are 25mins away.

We are a retired couple, I (Pauline - retired teacher) keep busy with gardening, music, dance, swimming, Taiji, yoga... Carl (retired school psychologist) enjoys reading, wine and food. His specialty is baking. We are both early rises and early to bed.

About Our Farm

Hamish purchased the original farm in December 2010. In the few years Hamish and Nicole lived there they worked towards self sufficiency on the smallholding of 2 acres.

In August 2014 Hamish and Nicole purchased and moved to a new farm of 2.5 acres at Summerholm Queensland. Being closer to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast the new farm offers better access to markets for the sale of products from the farm. The journey towards self sufficiency has continued.
