Hello there all you wonderful Helpx people. We have OPENED our 2021 REQUIREMENT for help, anytime FROM April onwards until Mid December for a two week period. This will be as flexible as we can make it, to suit both parties.

We have a strong, solid detached home and small, well managed garden with outbuildings on the outskirts of Glasgow. We prefer non-smokers. There are very good transport links to Glasgow(15min), Stirling (45min) Edinburgh (1 hour) and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs (1+ hour). We are very welcoming and we are a non-smoking household and offer private bed, separate shower room and board.

Private accommodation is a double room. There is also a private WC and shower for your exclusive use. All precautions would need to to be taken in light of Covid 19.
We are looking for an individual or couple to help out to help out and look after our 4 year old son and also with some housework and chores around the farm and with the horses. We would also love a builder or carpenter but none of these things are a must.
A couple or family would be welcome and we would be happy to be even more flexible for a longer term stay. Previous long term helpers have used us as a base to go off and explore Europe and come back in between to work for a bit and save some money. For the right person we could offer a car and maybe some extra paid hours if required. We are very flexible and fair.
Most reviews are from Devon but we have recently inherited a falling down farm house with 73 acres in mid wales near Shropshire border. We have moved all our animals up and desperately need help especially anyone with building gardening and general land clearing skills as well as people with good horse ... more inside

Beautiful views and a lovely rural setting close to an alternative town with plenty going on (Hebden Bridge) nestled between Manchester and Leeds in the South Pennines. We are also on a bus route and near a train station.

I would love people to help me with my smallholding and meadows. I have two cows to graze the land and a flock of chickens.

There are meadows with a stream running through. The plan is to develop the meadows for wild flowers, generate woodland along the stream and create a pond area to increase biodiversity. There is also a growing veg plot and newly planted orchard.

I am not registered organic but have an organic sensibility. I follow a basic permaculture principle and am focused on resource management.

I need help with whatever I am doing. I'm usually outside (whatever the weather), removing problem plants, generally weeding, planting, painting, building dry stone walls, making paths, moving stones or working on out-buildings. If the weather is very ... more inside
