Hi. My 2 teenage children, our dog, 3 cats, rabbit, hamster and I live in a 4 bedroom farmhouse on a 20 acre farm. I need some help with my garden mainly but I am very open to useful ideas/contributions as I am a single parent so there is always a list of minor jobs around the house that need doing. Our spare room is very large and comfortable, equipped with a double bed and bunk beds so would suit a couple or friends or single travellers. Happy to share meals or leave you to use the kitchen as you wish. We live rurally but only 20 minutes drive from the coast and we are surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside. There is no public transport links so you would need to have your own car for getting out and about in the area. We are a relaxed family and love meeting people.

Looking for help for this year, we have no vacancies until September.
The work will mainly be getting the garden up together. Allotment, new polytunnel and flower beds to sort and anything else that crops up. The sheep, pigs and other livestock for this year have arrived. The bees are busy and we can happily introduce you to them. And on top of all that we now have a litter of pups.

Elaine and I were previously helpers on HelpX and have now settled on our own smallholding in Pembrokeshire. The house is over 200 years old with 4 acres of pasture and 4 acres of woodland, which we are in the process of restoring and recovering after a few years of being neglected.
Accommodation is a double room in our house sharing our bathroom.
We are looking for 5 hours work a day 5 days a week in exchange for 3 meals a day and accommodation, sorry struggle to cater for veggies as we love the meat we produce. Always happy to help with transport, can pick up in Carmarthen.
Use of wifi.

This is a former 23 acre farm now being developed as an eco-centre . There are beautiful new eco-buildings constructed entirely by volunteers - from straw baled to cob to stone walled and oak framed and thatched and turf roofed spaces.
At the moment we are looking for people with previous good practical carpentry or eco-construction experience to help finish doors and windows, stone flooor and lime plastering for a large cob walled building we've call CAMAS - a Centre for Archaeology, Mythology and Storytelling

Tyddyn Retreat (www.walescottageandvenue.com) is an inspiring eco venue and self catering holiday cottages in the beauty of the Cambrian Mountains near Machynlleth, Mid Wales. A hideaway that's also accessible.

We have a farmhouse and four barns. One barn is converted into a stunning meeting/ workshop space & private cinema; two stone barns are now beautiful cottages filled with light, beams, high ceilings and natural materials - including oak floors and furniture, exposed stone, traditional lime plaster etc.

Our Summerhouse Cabin is a precious quiet space, which I often live when the Farmhouse is welcoming guests: I have actually been staying in the Summerhouse since before Easter! When guests are not in the Farmhouse, I spend time there too - including in my study.

The magical land includes two pretty meadows and a dingle, with deep cut streams, tall oak trees and a pond. We have a tipi and stone circle with fire pit, a polytunnel, and plenty of spaces to sit for persona... more inside

A beautiful farm that overlooks the sea in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is only 5 minutes from a rocky beach and a coast popular with walkers and surfers.

It is relatively remote, but there is a pub within 2 miles, a daily bus service (in summer) to local towns and the village-sized city of St Davids is 5 miles away. Volunteers must be prepared to be fairly isolated most of the time.
Volunteers are very welcome to work on the farm helping to grow the vegetables and sharing in any other social or educational events that occur. The work is physical and can be tough. It is almost all outside (although we do have polytunnels) and the weather here can be wild even in summer. Volunteers should be prepared for working outside in all types of weather and although it can get very wet, don’t be put off as the farm is set in a beautiful location and it can also get very hot!

Your accommodation will be in a building with kitchen downstairs and bunk beds upstairs, sometime... more inside

An organic project in a stunning location, in Snowdonia.

In summer, we need help maintaining the woodland we planted in 1996, clearing bracken and bramble, doing sustainable construction projects and generally caring for veg plots and the land.
We will work together for 2-3 hours a day, depends what we are up to really, if it's a fun project we may work longer. Most days have a mix of weather so there is no need to work in the rain or extreme heat and the beach is nearby.
There is a tiny straw bale house on the land and a caravan. A camping trailer or tent is available for guests.
Would suit an individual, a couple or small family who are happy with very basic camping facilities. It may suit weekenders. You will need to provide your own food. Water is plentiful from a private supply for washing, etc. but is not treated for drinking. We boil ours but are installing filters soon.
Public transport (bus and train) is within 1 mile and we are on sustrans route 8.
