Hi,
I live in a modern bungalow, high on the Knockmealdown mountains, called "THE VEE", a very scenic area, covered in wild rhododendrons which flower May/ June. I have quite a lot of land and a large selection of animals. 2 horses, 1 donkey, 12 dogs of which 3 are young and undergoing training, 6 cats and chickens, 10 ducks and a few guinepigs, 6large pet lambs which have had 6 lambs this year, 2 of which are now orphans.

I have two children who live and work in manchester. they visit when they can. My mother stays here permanently and is a great baker of scones and pies. She loves playing cards and word games, ideal for learning the language

I am not organic as only been here 3 years , I do 1/2 and 1/2, where I can. I try to keep things economic friendly and am aware of my carbon footprints.

I have a number of small ongoing projects which I need help with in preparation for winter visitors. Last year we built a log cabin so this year I am looking to build a toilet an... more inside

I have a breeding and competition yard in Kildare and am looking for all year round help with horses and garden. Must be animal lovers as I have horses, ponies, dogs and cats. You will be expected to help muck out stables, sweep, groom animals and tend to the garden. In return, you can ride horses (if suitable) and, as a HSI coach, I can give riding lessons. If competent, you may get a chance to compete. You will have a room in the house with plenty of hot water and food. We now have wi-fi
Due to a cancellation I have a vacancy now

I've a mobile home available for the summer, there is plenty going on and it would make a great base for the summer for a couple or 3 people. there's 2 bedrooms and a sitting room with a sofa that turns into a bed. It is independent from the house and has it's own cooking facilities. It's best to shower in the house although there is a shower in the caravan, there is always hot water in the house from the roof.
There's plenty happening locally, my grown up children are flown the coop, although they haven't gone far. Eleanor works in the tunnels sometimes, but has qualified as a herbalist and will be moving that side of her life forward. We have 10 acres on the road for a new project and are taking it slowly. we will open the farm shop there this summer and I'd like you to help with keeping it open as part of the exchange as well as help pulling the garden and tunnels back together. If you have nursery experience or are a carpenter or plummer, there can be some wages involved ... more inside

We have a beautiful old Irish period house in the heartland of county Kilkenny countryside. We have a woodland, a fruit orchard, a vegetable garden and out buildings. We also have some hens and a busy beehive. We try to be as self-sufficient as possible, growing a wide variety of vegetables, herbs and plants.

We are looking for someone to help this summer with gardening, painting, clearing hedges, wood-cutting and general outdoor work. Some of the work would be independent and some working closely with us. The work is always varied. We provide comfortable private accommodation in the house with a plentiful supply of organic healthy food and cooking. Kilkenny City is a 15 minute drive, and the house is just outside the village of Ballyragget.
