We live in a rural area and have a large garden. Our family has grown up and no longer live at home. There is always work to be done in the garden so people with some gardening experience or people willing to do some weeding or planting are very welcome. We need help covering a small area and preparing our vegetable patch for the Winter. We would also like to erect a willow fence and lay some paving slabs. If the weather is bad we have some spring cleaning and painting to be done in the house. We live in an Irish speaking area but the community here is, of course, bilingual. The area is renowned for its traditional music and dance. We speak fluent English and Irish and some French and German. You will have your own room with every comfort and the house has two bathrooms. The house is big enough to allow you to be part of the family or have privacy if you need it. We would like you to work 4 hours per day, six days a week. German speakers, who would have an interest in helping me ... more inside

Hello helpers,

We are two humans, artists, teachers and students of life who are on a journey together most of the time. We have created a place called the Octopus's Garden-House of Encounter, a place for people looking for real exchange in nature to meet.
We are looking for people who are happy to take this experience a day at a time.

This means we can arrange arrival dates but not the exact length of your stay.
We often meet people in Galway for a tea first .

This is an attempt to create an alternative way of living that is based on authenticity, is closer to nature and people's needs, also with the help of technology.

The way we live here could be described as existentialist and one day at a time.

If you feel you're a refugee of the spirit perhaps this is the place for you for a while.

We enjoy the silence here .

You would also need to be happy to be independent and spend time on your ... more inside

I am a 78 year old woman and I am looking for some one to give me some help with my half an acre of land/garden like strimming grass and weeding around the cottage. The rest of my land contains broad leaf trees.
Apart from the above, there would be some cleaning jobs to be done as well.
I have one bedroom upstairs with a double bed. Another room could be made ready for a 3rd/4th person if required (for example) a child or two with a couple. The rest of the house would be available and I would treat the persons as my own.
