Small one acre smallhold, in development. In the woods but next door to fields are used by farmers. Lots of wildlife and currently looking to build fences so my sheep can be brought here.
Woodfired stoves, bathoven, solar showers and we do have wifi.
House needs small repairs but is perfectly liveable, grounds need some TLC. An indoor- and outdoorcompost toilet, plenty of fresh air.
Warm water provided by the woodfired bathoven or in the garden for the solar shower. Functioning kitchen with great oven for fresh baked bread and meals. Looking to build a brick-and-cob breadoven outside.
We have a German Shepherd dog which means some shedding of doghairs :)
I speak German, Dutch, English. Always interested in yarn crafts, knitting, crochet, weaving and spinning and I can teach you those. The goal is to get this smallhold up and running as it would have been 100 years ago.
Non smoker, cheerful and taking life as it comes.
I've recently founded a company that makes soap, cream, s... more inside

Hello you!
we welcome you to our cozy house project in the countryside South of Berlin. It's a lively place where we organise non-commercial seminars for community building and alternative living, open the doors once in a month for a neighbourhood café and experiment with community living.
We, that's 6 people between 23 and 31, want to create a place where sustainable, self-determined living and working is possible whithin an empathetic, open-minded community, embedded in a thriving regional network.
Currently, our major projects are renovating the house using as many organic materials as possible and setting up a permaculture agroforestry garden. Next to this we are always busy preparing the next events and running the day-to-day housekeeping.
We invite you to join us on our hands-on journey towards a socio-ecological change and find your place in our little busy beehive.

Accommodation:
- in our barn, mattresses can be provided (summer)
- with a tent in our garden-lot (sum... more inside

Hey there,

we (Gabi + Marc, and Romina) live on an old manor from the 17th century with a thatched roof, located near Hamburg in a beautiful standalone location.

We are an animal sanctuary and to date we accommodate 6 horses/ponies and 2 three-months-old pigs that were rescued. Marc + Gabi have 2 parrots plus 3 dogs living with them and Romina also has 2 dogs.
We try to live as sustainable and self sufficient as we can. All of us are vegan, we have solar panels and we grow organic vegetables, fruits and herbs in our garden.

We have loads of upcoming projects that's why we're looking for helpers.
Some of those are:
- building a new stable for the pigs
- upgrading the horse stable and the tack room
- turning unused parts of the building into apartments
- restoring an old children's playground
- taking care of the organic vegetable garden
- tiling the backside of the roof

Apart from that we can always need help with the daily duties of an animal sanctuary like c... more inside

We're a family of four. With our two sons Jonas and Bjarne(2000 and 2006) we live in a tiny village near Bad Segeberg. Perhaps it is not the best place for party-people. By train or bus you can reach Luebeck, Kiel and Hamburg in round about an hour.

We always need help in the garden, in the household (like loading the dishwasher, cleaning the floor,...) or sometimes with the kayaks or canoes. There is a lot to do, but we don`t have an organic farm. It's just a private house. At the moment (2018) we have a kind of project. We want to renovate my fathers house, which is on the same ground. There is lots of work in and around the house.

We love to travel, though we`re interested in a cultural exchange. 2010 and 2014 we started trips round the world for 8 1/2 and 5 months. Now we are back in Germany and like to host guests from all over the world.

We live in a nice house with a big garden and a lake directly behind the house. Helpers will have there own room. You don`t need a... more inside

We, Jakob and Margret, run an organic goat farm in the South of Germany where we look after approximately 80 goats and a few pigs. We produce different kinds of cheese and yogurt and sell our products partly on the market in Ulm and Ehingen.
We are located about 30km south from Ulm with good access to train and bus connections and are looking for cheerful helpers with skilled hands.

There is helpx work all year round and we would very much like to welcome people who are interested in working with our animals, which includes: feeding, mucking out, milking twice a day, …
During the summer months the goats can go out grazing which means setting up fences. But there are also many tasks including woodwork, driving jobs, some gardening, helping make the cheese, setting up the market stall, cutting grass, and so on. Especially around Easter it would be great to have help feeding and looking after the many lambs.
There could be an opportunity for you to use the tractor, permitting ... more inside

From the beginning of June to July 15, 2018 we can on and off accommodate helpers for shorter periods during weekdays. We want to do gardening (work on fruittrees, making Hügelbeete, etc), working on fences, painting, and more. Experience is not necessary but desirable.

Our house/land/project is situated at the foothills the beautiful Sauerland in Germany. We (family of 4) speak: Dutch, German and English. We offer (for free of course) an excellent guesthouse with amazing view to stay, good food and drinks and a place where you can learn about eco-housing (we live in a strawbale house), our foodforrest and permaculture in general. We ask for motivated helpers who are willing to help us a substantial but very reasonable part of the day. (You can check our Facebook page to get an idea). We have had more helpers during the last few years and without exception we got only very positive feedback. So don't hasitate and come to Medebach!

We are a group of 4 to 6 people of various ages and occupations, a cat and some chickens. 3 of us bought a house to live in together and are looking for additional housemates. We also have one room for a helper. There is a small train station about a 15 min walk away. Help needed would mainly be renovation/restoration, e.g. plastering, loam rendering, painting, maybe some carpentry (as in improving the chicken coop or, if you feel like it, restoring old furniture) and turning some asphalt into garden. The garden will be used to grow some vegetables and herbs.
