I am a retired diplomat from the USA. Moved to Colombia 3 years ago and am building house/small boutique hotel in Villa de Leyva, Boyoca. Looking for volunteers to help with the project. There is lots to do!! For artists I am doing mural art on the wall around the house and mosaics on the patio. I need volunteers to help put together a website. I have a pool and jacuzzi that seem to always need cleaning! If you can sew, you can help me make curtains! There is also work in the garden. Villa de Leyva is a beautiful touristic town ( a UNESCO world heritage site) 2 hours from Bogota that has perfect weather, lots of festivals, great restaurants, interesting things to do, nature adventures and a great, artistic community. Come help me out and have a fabulous experience!! I speak English, Spanish and French.

We live in a special space in between the Andes and the Amazon of Colombia where healing arts and ancestral medicine are practiced.
We host students from all over the world with the intention of introducing ancient practices and rituals along with the knowledge of medicinal and sacred plants.
We continuously work with communities nearby in order to establish a beautiful connection with the people and the land, so we have some interesting projects involving sustainable practices, education and agriculture.

We are located in a stunning spot in front of a Lagoon, where we connect to the nearest village (El Encano) mainly by boat.
At the centre we respect a slow technology policy, so we don't have internet, not a lot of artificial light and we produce most of our food, medicine, etc.

Our daily activities can be very flexible, but we engage in many practical works with plants and we encourage self-exploration and meditation.

We also educate people on the different rituals an... more inside

So I am the director of a dance group in Barranquilla. We are a starting group with professional dancers and also beginners, we try to build our dancers on different rhythms like Urban, Salsa, Bachata, Classic, etc. We are also deep into Colombian folklore, most of our professional dancers started there dancing careers as folklore dancers. We try to show the world that anyone can dance, all it takes is the will.

We are a 30 year old British couple who have spent the past 14 months travelling around South America by motorcycle, fell in love with the beautiful Colombian coffee district and have decided to stay. After months of searching we finally found a finca with a big country house in a stunning location in the heart of the coffee district, 1.5km from the centre of Filandia.

We plan to open a hostel within the next few months but first the house needs maintenance, and the farm needs work to bring it back to its former glory (planting crops, fixing fences and improving the chicken coops and pig pens etc). Can you help us turn our finca into somewhere really special for other travellers and adventurers? Paul and I are quite practical (we renovated house boats in England) so can do many of these things ourselves but could really do with some help to complete lots of odd jobs before before we can officially open. For example, we currently have a leak in the roof, need to install gas water ... more inside

Cultivation of fruits, green vegetables.
The project is to create a sustainable farm with teaching goals. Some of the activities would aim at creating a compost as well as having little farm animals such as chickens, rabbits etc. We would like to use power energy in the farm for the activities too.
The philosophy of the projet must be linked to agroflorest and permaculture concepts.
In the future we have the project to build a maloca (indigenous meeting space) on the field of the farm.
The farm is in constant contact with other farms in the region.

Current mission : To work in the farm, in the vegetable garden. To do some building work, plumbing, to take care of the animals, to do some shopping for the farm, to do washing and manutention work.

The farm is located in Los Palmitos, Sucre on the Atlantic coast of Colombia. It's about 17 acres and walking distance from the center of the town, where we live.
We are currently working hard to make the farm sustainable, organic and reforesting the land with all sorts of trees. We grow mainly yuca, ñame, papaya, platano, aji, eggplant and several other seasonal fruits and vegetables.
The land here is hot and dry with patches of rainy weather 2 - 3 times a year.
We have chickens, guinea fowl, turkeys, ducks, tortoises, dogs, cats, birds.
Anyone coming to help us out should love animals and not be afraid of the occasional poisonous toad, snake or spider.
We are looking for volunteers to help with all levels of farming, gardening, landscaping, animal care and construction. We need people with experience and ideas to help convert our small farm into a green wonderland that will serve as a model for neighboring farms to make the switch to sustainable and organic farming.

Farm family-sized without real profitable research, give work to Colombian peasants and fun to our visitors. Installation of a farm, organic farming and traditional productions, Project of Rural tourism accommodation . Processing of coffee and production of buffalo milk cheese.
We hope that the volunteer helps us in the daily tasks of the farm. It can be take care of the crops, take care of the buffala. It can also help in case you are implementing a new production that needs constructions.
What we hope is that he is a kind person and very respectful of the peasant culture and the country people. Be interested in cultural exchange in mutual respect.

This is a new hostel founded on values of environmental sustainability in Santa Fe de Antioquia, a beautiful colonial town an hour outside Medellin, Colombia. Based in a handsome colonial building in the historic centre of Santa Fe de Antioquia, the hostel has its own private swimming pool, outdoor hammock zone and poolside bar, which all our guests and volunteers are welcome to use. Santa Fe is located on the banks of the Cauca River and is surrounded by rolling hills and mountains. It has a year-round warm and sunny climate – perfect poolside weather!

At our hostel we would appreciate help with manning reception, general help about the hostel, and in communicating with our guests in English. Volunteers with English and at least conversational Spanish are needed (we don't speak much English but are working on it!), and anyone with experience of working in a hostel/hotel/hospitality is very warmly welcomed.

We ask volunteers to stay with us for a minimum of one month, but lo... more inside
