I have a 4 bedroomed house and garden in a small town with a very good very cheap bus service to the nearest city, Montpellier. There are some shops, bars cafes and restaurants in the town which also has a museum, cinema, library, (English and French), swimming pools, attractive scenery and a lake nearby for which there is a bus service in the summer. There are plenty of good walks around here with a few walking groups as well. I am about 10 minutes walk into the town. I need help with decorating mostly preparation and painting and a some D.I.Y,some clearing, also ther is some work in the garden which needs pruning and cutting back. Willing to provide meals and accommodation for about 5 hours of work for 5 days out of 7. Internet is available and I could provide English lessons if wanted. English and French spoken.

My husband (Keith) and I (Helen ... Aitch) have lived permanently in France since 2004. We live in an 'ex dairy farm' house and have about a hectare of land including a little woodland that runs down to the river.
The house has a history dating back to the Revolution in the late 1700's and is in the heart of rural Normandy. We are deep in the Normandy countryside and very tranquil.
Most of the land is used for our pet animals (mostly rescued), 2 donkeys, 4 sheep, 2 geese, 5 ducks and 4 chickens. We have a tortoise, 5 house dogs, 5 'garage' cats, 2 outside cats and 1 house cat.
I am vegetarian, my husband is a meat eater (and also the chef).
We teach English to foreign students during the school holidays ... ages range from 11 to 60 and they can stay with us for a couple of days or up to 6 weeks.
I am interested in art (and have a studio), ceramics, photography, animals, nature. My husband shares my interest in nature and animals and also plays badminton and football (March to ... more inside

I am looking for someone responsible, fun loving and mature enough to take care of my 5 years old girl whilst I am at work, after school and sometimes at the week-end. We live in a village outside Strasbourg France, and it would be a good opportunity for anyone wishing to learn or improve their French, as there are classes available in Strasbourg.
Life in our home is laid back, full board, a room, WiFi will be provided. I work in the tourist industry and would be glad to show you this lovely part of France called Alsace. We are also a few miles away from Germany. Speakers of any languages welcome, with some French to be able to converse à bit with my daughter Loulou.
Position available from now to late November- early December. Families welcome!
Used to have a farm in Sicily where I welcomed many helpers, see reviews please.

Henriette (58) I live at what was formerly a wine and silk farm; buildings dating back to the early 1800s, set in a beautiful landscape of rolling hills, woodland and farmland.

This is a space meant for art, dancing, music and enjoyment. Having undergone major renovation over the past decade, we wish to open our doors for those who would want to use this space and share with us their creativity and interests.

We are happy to receive help from you, as there are still many projects to work on and develop, either in the garden, or on renovation and building. All we ask is that you are eager to help, and of course it's even better if you have any specific skills pertaining to renovating, building, carpentry, knowledge of plants and growing food, cooking, etc. Musicians, theatre folk, artists and the like are also very much welcome.

We have rooms and a dormitory available, with attached kitchen and living area which you can make use of. Of course if we have guests and events r... more inside

We (Joep & Miranda) offer a wonderful place for helpers in the sunny South of France.

We take pride in continuously improving our domaine and every year there are new projects to tackle. Two years ago we finalised the renovation of the old barn of the domaine and with help of a lot of friends and a great helper, we realised three brand new holiday accommodations for our guests. Last year the pool area got completely renovated with the help of 3 great helpers.

This year we are focusing on a full renovation of our own house as well as work in our garden and general maintenance of the domaine. We are now looking for one or two additional people to help with our building/ renovation project. We are especially interested in people who are looking to stay for a longer period of time, but can also use help for shorter periods of time. You would assist with re-building outside and in-side walls, placing of doors and windows, plumbing, plastering, painting, tiling, fitting of kitchen a... more inside

A bientôt
