Hello,

Helpers needed in September. (Sorry I have no Vacancies until the end of August.)

I manage a horse Agistment property with my family, 5 minutes from Atherton or 1.5 hours from Cairns. Horse Agistment is basically, racehorses on holiday, so they aren't ridden when they are here.

We are classified as a leisure property and not a primary producer, therefore we do not meet the criteria for Australian 2nd year Visa's.

I do need help with water pressure cleaning our not-so-white horse rail fencing. It's not hard to do, just monotonous. Help may also be needed with feeding and care of the horses, maintenance of farm vehicles and equipment and gardening. It's all fairly easy, so if you're willing to try something new, I'd be glad to show you how.

Everyday is a good day, it's peaceful and so beautiful but there is much to do.

I can offer a separate workers cottage with 2 bedrooms, each with a toilet, shower and basin. Also has small kitchen & lounge. We ca... more inside

20 min drive from the heart of Brisbane. 45min from the Gold Coast. 5 min walk to bus.

We are a loving and slightly crazy family of one Mum and four kids aged 14. 12. 10 and 2.

I work from home running my own business and also run an association. I require help with the household basics of washing, cooking, cleaning, gardening and shopping. We all pitch in and require an extra set of hands to help us stay on top of everything.

If you have other skills like being able to help kids with homework, computer skills or playing sport with the kids that is great. I am happy to tailor tasks to match your strengths and passions and the requirements of the family. I am also flexible on the spread of working hours.

We love getting out and about in Brisbane, Gold and Sunshine coasts. Happy to show you around, provide some transport and make your stay in enjoyable. I'm open to any length of stay as long it is working well for both of us.

My preference is for helpers who engag... more inside

We are a couple with two children living on acreage in Pomona, a small town in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in Queensland, Australia. Pomona is known for its silent movie theatre and is located at the base of Mount Cooroora (good for bushwalking, and up which there is an annual race called the "King of the Mountain"). If you don't have your own car we can often give you a lift or take you on outings with us, or you can catch buses / trains. Nearby attractions include the beaches and restaurants of Noosa (about 30 minutes away), Eumundi markets (20 minutes away) and Brisbane (2 hours south by train / car).

Our property was previously part of a dairy farm, but in the 17 years we have lived here we have planted most of it up with (mainly) native trees as habitat for native wildlife. We also have a vegetable garden, small fruit orchard, worm farm and chickens, and are mainly organic in our approach to gardening. Our home has a separate downstairs guest room with double bed, it... more inside

A lovely home on almost six acres set in the rainforest 40 minutes from Cairns, Far North QLD. We have our own restaurant and try to grow herbs and produce to supply the restaurant, however we are very short on time and need some help!
We have poultry to look after, and piglets coming soon. The type of work we require would be, gardening, farm-hand work, mowing, planting out, feeding animals and some general cleaning occasionally.
We are a middle aged married couple with a spoilt rotten puppy. We have a good sense of humour and like fishing, cooking, and gardening.

We are a small horse and cattle farm, mainly horses which we breed and train for Polo. We have about 20 horses in total and at times have between 6 and 10 in work. The Polo season in Queensland is from March to September generally. We sometimes have non horse work as well at other times. We have excellent, new clean and modern private accommodation for staff near our main home, it has wifi and all amenities. We also are happy to provide a small wage in addition to room and board.

My wife and I run a small organic farm near Ravenshoe on the Atherton Tablelands (2 hrs from Cairns QLD). We are grow manuka tea trees and produce hay for stock feed and garden mulch. The property has dams where platypus can be viewed. The house is surrounded by native gardens and a large vegetable garden that are host to a range of colourful native birds.

We run chickens, some Dorper sheep and have 1 dog - a Jack Russell that loves company.
The farm itself is in the middle of set up stage and we hope to be fully operational in about 18 months. As you can see we are rather busy and require some help from time to time.

We try to make as much of our food as possible from what we grow and source locally.

Work could include the following 4-5 hour/day, 6 days/wk:
- carting hay
- weeding and mulching trees
- feeding animals
- carpentary work
- general housework at times when too wet
- other work relevent to personal skill set
