Summer '17:

We are selling our lovely place. A hard decision, a sad moment, but also exciting..

We could really do with help for a week, or so, packing books etc. in boxes and so on - if the right person comes along: autonomous, engaging and interested in real food and the good life.
==============================================

We are (almost always) looking for a childminder (that is, someone who is patient with, attentive to and have an interest in going for walks, playing and talking with children!) - especially if you can speak Spanish and/or Danish to a German, English and French speaking 6 year old, demanding, energetic, but kind and sweet boy.

*************************************************

Did you read to here? Good, some people don't, it seems, and write to us as if we were an occupational therapy centre or a hotel or a work place with set hours. That's not the case - it's a family home - get in touch if you can work independently/autonomously! :)

this is a small holding on which we started to build a permaculture site. We planted some 40 fruit trees in 2011 and they are now stated to fruit. We have 2 cats, 2 donkeys, 5 ewes and 1 ram. We are in the process of creating it and there is a lot of work, fun work. I love it but it's not going fast enough. Geoff is a great cook and works inside. I love the outdoor and work outside all year round no matter the weather, then come in for wonderful meals. Our place has 3 bedrooms with their own bathroom each, which makes them comfortable for our friends, family and guests. We live 2 km from the village and it's easy to walk there. the help I need is with fences, building a chicken coop and a garden shed, cutting wood, working on dry walls. The fences for example are no ordinary fences, they are made of sheep fencing in which I weave some sticks vertically which make them stand out in the landscape and in winter they look really great. The weaving has a practical use in that they prevent... more inside

Hi I'm Noel, an English man living in France. I have a large garden now that all the trees have been cut down. The stumps have all been dug out so I am left with an area that needs planting which I need a bit of help with. If it is raining there is always work to be done inside the house.
House is set in a beautiful area of France. There are many walks through the stunning countryside from the house and places of interest in the locality.
Accommodation is comfortable and I have been told I am a good cook. I can cater for vegetarians and smokers smoke outside.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who is interested.I could do with some help from now until the end of August

Hi, we would like to offer a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and good wholesome meals in exchange for a good bit of help/work. There is always work to be done here, logging, general garden maintenance, poo picking the field, building an island in the lake, daming holes in the bank etc… If any of the above appeal do get in touch. We work hard and play hard, maybe not for the faint hearted! But we do have fun! You will have to be self motivated and work on your own initiative as David and I work in the office week days.

We live in a lovely quiet rural part of SW France with our small menagerie of animals, ie dogs, hens, donkeys, goats etc. we have an online business that we work full time from home, and although David is full of energy and can turn his hand to almost anything, there just isn't enough hours in the day to do it all and we could really do with an extra pair if hands to keep the place up together, I.e. Gardening, property maintenance, house work, painting p... more inside

At 1800m high in the Pyrénées, Angaka is an organisation which offers outdoor activities (hiking, horse riding, musher). We host hikers in yurts, tipies, wooden huts.
For this summer, we need people to help with fixing the huts, cutting wood, preparing the winter season...
We can speak french, english and spanish.

In exchange of a bed in a dorm on a wooden hut and 3 meals a day, we would ask for 4 hours of activity, during 5 days a week. More or less 20 hours of work a week. We could host you for one or two weeks.
We are flexible on the hours of your participation, it depends on the meteo.

From Toulouse, the train gets to the village of Les Cabannes. Then, the place is 16 km far away up in the mountains. We can come and catch you in the train station.

We need some people to help us during the summer season.

See you soon

Angaka team

Hello - my name is Gaynor. I live on my own - tho the kids (age 25 to 31) come to stay now and then - in a typical 18th century renovated Breton farmhouse, with large garden, in the country, 10 mins drive to nearest town, 1 hour from Brest and St. Brieuc. 20 mins drive to nearest beach. Secluded, comfortable. Host vegetarian. Work would be gardening, including small vegetable garden, and help with some d.i.y.. Internet, Wi-Fi, cell phone reception. I am a retired teacher of English here in France. My kids are bilingual. My helper would have a quiet bedroom on the first floor. Shared bathroom.

This is a lovely part of the world, with a wonderful coastline and beautiful countryside. Breton music and traditional dancing , old towns, castles and museums to visit including the Fondation Leclerc in Landerneau where they have an exhibition of Picasso at the moment. Sports available nearby include sailing and water sports, kayak clubs, hiking and many other.
Looking forward to hearing... more inside

Bonjour,

Catherine
