We are Jan and Mary, a friendly Dutch couple, who are currently making their dream come true… we recently became the proud owners of our very own authentic 17th century farm in beautiful Dordogne, France. Our next step is to turn the old farm into a vacation rental. Actually the previous owners already did that, but we want to give the place our own personal touch.

The accommodation and property is a combination of both our names. Once we have received the keys to the property, mid February, there lies quite the work that needs to be done ahead of us. Especially when we aim at welcoming our first guests before the summer starts! And this is where we could use an extra pair of hands, in which we offer a very comfortable stay, an inspiring environment and - who knows - a new friendship in return.

To share our enthusiasm and hopefully to welcome you as our 'new friends, we want to inspire you with a brief description of the story behind our property, former farmhouse and what y... more inside

This is a horse stud being started, and as such with a lot of outdoors works. But mostly renovating the buildings, maintaining the fields and fences.
Taking care of the animals all year long: depends on season too.
There is always plenty to do at a farm.
No time and no taste for bad food: so when the seasons allow it, vegetables will be cultivated, in the easiest way.
So I'd be happy to have a helper who will take in charge the things I cannot do because the time for all is always too short. Soon the weather will allow it, we'll have to prepare the garden so we can plant the vegetables. Soon, the first foal will be born. Soon the training will start again for the competitions in the summer., and my days will always be shorter.
If you're looking for something new. Something different and are not afraid to be in the middle of the french country please, do apply!

i live in a beautiful 300year old farmhouse which i am slowly renovating. With lovley big old barns. I need help finishing off bits in the house and for next summer I need help with changing beds and cleaning in the mornings as I run a very busy B&B . I have a caravan that can be used for accommodation which is in my garden . I have 1 big dog 3 cats 6 chickens and my neighbors donkey who lives in my field. My house is in the heart of the countryside and is very peaceful. It would be better if you had a car or some sort of transport as the nearest small village is 15 mins walk and the bigger town is 20 mins with a car and I am not sure how often the bus runs. I love cooking and am vegan but will cook meat for who ever stays if needed. It's a beautiful place to come and stay do a bit of work and then enjoy the area. I have an above ground pool that can be used and a jacuzzi. I am very laid back but just need help for this season as bookings are coming in daily .....:)

I just moved into a beautiful little paradise : A sunny house in a garden on a hill facing the medieval little village Lanet in the 'Hautes Corbières'. This region is full of hills and woods and very few people, who therefore have to organize themselves well. And they do. Lots of social life, little markets etc. The biodiversity here is stunning. If you love nature you will love it here.
I live off the D221 direction Montjoi and the 'Gorges de l'Orbieu' The place you want to be all summer by and in this invigorating river. You really don't have to go to the sea to cool off. Also where I live nights will always get cooler, even in the hottest summer. My land (8000 m2) reaches from a brook to almost the top of a hill. The house in the lower part is surrounded by a botanical garden, a newly set up permaculture and a garden with mostly endemic wild plants. I NEED HELP IN ALL THE GARDENS and in the easy reachable woodland above the house. Especially in spring and autumn. There is alway... more inside
