To Helpx Helpers,

I am trying to find a traveller profile name Trek.
Trek, we exchanged messages 2 years ago and although we are not currently in a position to have visitors, we are travelling too, there is an opportunity that when I read it I thought of you. Please message if possible.

Thankyou

A huge thankyou. It has been our pleasure over the past several years to welcome some of the loveliest young travellers to share our home. You all worked diligently and as a result Bob and I have enjoyed a beautiful garden over these past years. We have loved you all and have only happy memories.
Sadly the day arrived when the size of our home and garden became too much for us to maintain and so the decision was made to sell.
And now we are travelling around Australia again in a lovely little motorhome. Perhaps we will see some of you again, we do hope so.
Love to all
Bob & Barbara

Welcome to Australia. We are a family who seek to live more harmoniously with nature.

Ballintaggart is a beautiful property that borders World Heritage rainforest wilderness and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton Tableland, in the hills above Cairns.

There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a pleasant climate without the high humidity the coast can experience.

Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, platypus and hundreds of bird species, make this place great for nature lovers.

The property utilises holistic management, bio-dynamics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening and household duties. Happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts where possible.

We take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate) and greater awareness of simple and joyous self-sufficiency.

Accommodation for one or two helpers in our stone and timber home.

Helpers should be open-minded and ready to learn n... more inside

My name is Neville. My property is in the Noosa hinterland between Kenilworth and Imbil. The property is very beautiful, close to amazing national parks and only 45 minutes from Noosa. I have been a builder, a farmer, a counselor, and currently work with intellectually disabled people. I am building a shipping container house using recycled timber and lots of imagination. I live on the property in another imaginative house I built about 10 years ago. I am looking for a couple, or one or two guys to help with the building of the shipping container house,[that is currently being fitted with windows and doors. If you are interested in how to build small, economical, environmentally friendly homes, this is an opportunity to learn lots of skills. Some paid work might be available. Private accommodation in a 5 star 2 room tent, with a proper roof protecting it, [or your camper]. Great food, good company, and unlimited wifi are all part of the deal.
I am away from the property every seco... more inside

I'm building on 2 rainforest properties. 1 acre next to lake Placid in Cairns & another 20 acres up Kuranda(Speewah) on the tablelands. I have a 3 bedroom place also in Kamerunga that provides all the amenities of a comfortable home.
I need help with construction and do not necessarily need people with experience but more people that are motivated. Obviously there are alot of spectacular places to see, lots kf bushwalking and i also have a few mountain bikes to borrow.
I have a boat and 4wd, and love to get out remote camping etc as often as possible. Love to share with people who are willing to participate in the journey.
ITS THE JOURNEY THAT COUNTS!!!

We grow vegetables, plus herbs and have cattle, pigs and chickens, all of which we market ourselves. Our farming systems mimic natural systems and helpers will be involved in all aspects of what we do, feeding and moving animals, collecting eggs, helping at markets, and the homesteading things we do on a daily basis.

At the moment we are doing some fencing, construction, tree planting and growing some vegetables.

Our 114 ha property has lots of bushland with plenty of granite boulders, a couple of creeks and dams.

Accommodation in your own caravan, meals, etc, with us as family. Meals are mixed, largely our own produce.

Our farming approach is guided by holistic management, permaculture and knowledge shared with other inspirational farmers. We have a good collection of alternative agriculture books available for helpers to use while they are here.

Hi there,

Thanks for reading my post.

I can sign 2nd Year WHV.

I own & manage a Beef cattle property in SE QLD with my partner & 2 young children. We are located 15 minutes from Nanango & 25 minutes from Kingaroy.

Work would involve mustering, fencing, tractor driving, painting, renovations & general maintenance. I use horses, quad bikes & dogs for mustering. Ability to drive a manual 4WD would be an advantage, but not necessary.

Accommodation is a private Farm Cottage with all basic ammentities. I pay a wage (depending on skills) & your only expense would be food (Beef is provided).

If my property sounds like a place you would like to stay at & help out on, feel free to use my contact details.

Cheers :-)
