8 years ago it was 'the ruins at Glaun'. 3 acres of bracken & old dilapidated buildings have now been converted by Robin into a small holding. Gabriels Return, consists of a large house, s-c cottage, polytunnel & landscaped garden. Robin & Helen with their two daughters, reside at this wonderful spot, 5 km from the lively village of Schull on the Mizen Peninsular. We have a dog, cat and a few chickens, occasionally ducks, sheep & pigs. Robin has an apiary with active bee hives. We try to be as self sufficient as we can & grow as much produce in the polytunnel. The property also has a self catering cottage that has regular bookings through the season. Robin has a natural healthcare practise, run from Gabriels Return. Helen is one of the founding members of the Fastnet Short Film Festival, held annually in Schull in May. Robin is in the process of renovating the last ruin on the site. We are a laid back family, our home is often full of music, musicians are welcome. Hours are flexible... more inside

LOOKING FOR HELPER now TO SEPTEMBER END.

Hi, Here's what I do... I grow Vintage Cut Flowers, providing a sustainable alternative to mass produced imported florists blooms. Most of what I grow is old fashioned and nearly always scented, grown both outside and in commercial polytunnels. It is seasonal with the year kicking off in Feb/March with oooodles of seeds to be sown and we wrap things up in Oct/Nov time. I'm a small unique operation and what I do I love, every plant I grow I know personally, and I take huge satisfaction in producing such a beautiful, unique product. My flowers are sold direct to the consumer through local markets, private orders for weddings/parties ect and I also sell them to country shops for retail. My business is based 10mins down the road from where I live at my parents strawberry farm, where we grow not only strawberries but squash also and french beans...or as the french call them..green beans!!

And who we are.....I'm a mum of 2 kids, a little gir... more inside

Hello - Any last minute helpers in the hood!! Looking for help to paint/whitewash and tidy the garden. Maybe you could tie it in with Electric Picnic ..only 5 minutes away. http://www.electricpicnic.ie/

Come and stay in a historic home on an organic farm near the grand canal, the lovely village of Vicarstown and Stradbally, Co. Laois. Helpers have the house to themselves but will be surrounded by family next door and up the road.

Four hours work daily in exchange for accommodation and food...lots of organic veg in the garden at the minute. Expect to do your own cooking some of the time. Prefer to work extra hours in week and helpers can stay for weekend with no work/do their own thing.

This is a unique and undiscovered location in the heart of Ireland near one of the best trad music pubs in the midlands, the Fishermans Inn..sessions every Tuesday night. There are lots of beautiful walks along the banks of the grand canal and the river barrow....and lots more.
