Due to illhealth I am unable to share my home at present.
I'll let you know when I am back on top!!!

I live in an old handcrafted mud-brick and rammed-earth home surrounded by State Forest and farmland, 130 kms north west of Melbourne.

There are lots of lovely birds - parrots, thrushes, galahs, wrens, tree creepers - a twitcher's paradise! as well as kangaroos, echidnas, little lizards and (probably) snakes...there are sheep, horses, alpacas and cattle in the neighbours' paddocks.

The land around here was sluiced and mined for gold in the 1850s and consequently there is very little topsoil. It is an historical area with deep mines in the bush as well as the possibility of finding gold. Lovely little historical towns around here, too.

I live 4 kms from the nearest little village and there is no light pollution - night skies are amazing! The nearest town with a train station is 20 kms away but I can collect you from there if necessary.
My sons are grown up and I now live... more inside

Hi , I'm a single father with 2 kids which I have week on week off . I am a hairdresser and I live out the back of my salon . I also play in a band ( drummer) . So with all this in my life I'm pretty busy . It would be awesome to find someone that can be a help around the house to take a bit of pressure off . What I'm looking for is someone that can look after children (7 and 6 year old boy and girl ) help with cleaning around the house and a bit of gardening . I also have chickens . I would need you for around 3 hours a day from tues to Thursday , fri night for around 5 hours (every second week) and around 6 hours every second sat . So the week I don't have the kids , I won't need you to take care of them but will need general help around the house .

I am looking for someone to help me with my children, aged 3, 6 and 8, for before school/drop offs and pick ups/afternoons (see pics below of kids with other helpx visitors). This would look like 7.30am to 9am, then 3.30pm to 6pm on Monday to Thursday(school drop off, pick up, homework, dinner preparation). Around that need a few hours babysitting every third weekend (probably no more than 3 hours)and babysitting on Wednesday morning until 1pm. I also have a few projects around the place that I need help with as well as general upkeep in a house of very active boys.
In return I can offer full time accommodation, a meal a day and a great central location to explore Melbourne ten minutes train from the CBD.
The person needs to have energy and initiative, and experience with children is essential. A drivers license would be very useful and would probably enhance the helper's stay.

We are a couple Paul and Louise and have I dog and a number of chooks. A lovely large garden of flowers food and fruit. We survive on rain water so we ask for mindfulness when using water. Our 2 hectare property has a dam roaming kangaroos and backs onto state forest and we are walking distance to the township of Castlemaine. Our house is a 25 yr old mudbrick that is beautiful! At the moment October. We are in need of strong healthy gardeners and people keen to work with stone and do some fencing in fact there's always a project painting! Short stays welcome weekend helpers encouraged.

We are a family of 2 (Mum and 5yo) in a large house on a large block in Lower Plenty with permaculture features including hens, ducks, swales, veggies, fruit trees. We back on to a creek feeding the Plenty River. The area is green and has an arts community and is serviced by buses and trains - about 30 min drive and 45 Public transport from CBD. (16km)
We are looking for someone to help us with house maintenance. We are also interested in having anyone handy in the garden and another job we'd love someone to help with is landscaping the front garden.
Happy to negotiate arrangements such as free room, breakfast and dinner for 4 hours work or similar.

This is 27 acres on the Delatite River in North Eastern Victoria. Close to Lake Eildon and State Forest, there is abundant wildlife and birds, with 4 ha of trees planted for high value timber production and carbon sequestration. There is a shop close by and I can pick you up in Mansfield from the V-Line Bus, which travels twice a day.
I would love a hand with the vege garden, some inventory of the trees (which is measuring them) pruning and construction of fencing from poles cut from the trees. The work is not hard. The plantation is for sustainable timber production and I am in the process of designing a solar passive, eco- friendly house. At present deciding on which is the best site
Accomodation for one person in a new comfortable caravan. I can cater for special diet requests and enjoy cooking. All your meals are provided

We are a family with two children (aged 3 and 5) and have a small spare room that we would like to offer as accommodation in exchange for some help around the house - including some childcare and gardening.

Ideally you will love children and be happy to spend some time playing, reading and making cubbies while i get some work done. It would work out to be approximately 3 hours of help per day.

We enjoy a healthy lifestyle and eat mostly organic and vegetarian food (although we can cater to non-veg also) and love to cook. We love music but we don't use the television very often. If this sounds like a match for you then please get in contact! You must be a non-smoker!

Our house is very close to public transport and is very conveniently located, taking about 20 minutes to get to city on tram or train. There are cafes, bicycle trails, yoga classes in close proximity.

Hi, I'm an architect builder, currently working on my own place on a beautiful property directly adjacent to the Grampians National Park.
This is no regular build, but anyone who would like to stay and help where they can is most welcome. The building is all from recycled materials and the primary objective is to have fun while it goes up.
The Helpers have their own caravan to stay in and would have to put up with me raving on about environmental design, but a unique experience is guaranteed.
Sometimes I have to be in Melbourne to work, so unfortunately can't fit in with all Helpers, but travel there often so even if you are based in Melbourne, concider coming up for a long weekend. It really is a beautiful patr of the world. You'd be mad to miss it.

My 3 year old daughter and I are looking for a female to share our 3 bedroom home on the edge of the Wright Forest in the Dandenong Ranges. Our 1/4 acre block backs onto incredible walks through nature. There is the beautiful Emerald Lake only 25 minutes through the forest. This time of year it feels like the mists of Avalon!

In return for accomodation and the occassional shared meal I would love for someone to look after Winona for one day and one evening a week (the evening is after her bed time, so its really just being home whilst she sleeps). This will free you up to work the rest of the week. You will have your own bedroom and access to internet. There is a bus nearby and I will occassionally be able to drive you where you may need to go. However if you do work it may be easier for you if you have your own car.

I have been told that we are great to live with. I'm a practical & playful mum, yoga teacher & marriage celebrant. My daughter has an awesome sense of humour and ... more inside
