We live on a small family farm close to Mount Franklin and a few kilometres from Daylesford and many of the naturally effervescent mineral springs in the area. We primarily farm sheep and hay, but also have a variety of fruit trees and a veggie garden. We are looking for helpers any time of year who could help out in the garden, or with other work on the farm that would be of interest to you. Our busiest time of year is lambing season in July and shearing in November. Spring and summer are also busy seasons for sowing and harvesting vegetables. The farm has a relaxed atmosphere and you will most likely have your own room in the farm house.

Small bush property ~ 30 kms outside Melbourne.
6 kms from the train line to Melbourne
I live in an old cottage and the area is very tranquil. The place is visited by kangaroos, wallabies and other native wildlife.

I live a very simple life as much as possible in harmony with the environment and in a way that does not harm animals. I also can teach you much about Aboriginal issues.

There are a number of great walking tracks around the place and some interesting places to visit. I have bike(s) available for woofers to use.

I prepare good healthy meat-free meals. My place is a smoke-free and meat-free property. This means no-smokers! No fussy eaters please!

There is a computer available for some e-mailing.

If you want to improve your English, I can help, and I am happy to set some time every aside day for an English lesson.

The work is almost all outside. I have a small vege-garden which needs a lot of work and a lot of native veg around the house. I can... more inside

Looking for someone to join us from September 23rd or so (not before). Ours is a country property about 45 minutes drive North East of Melbourne CBD or little over 1 hour by train. You may prefer to have a car, but there is a bus stop at the end of our road (1 kilometre walk). The store is 2 kilometres away. Kangaroo Ground is s small township & a lovely area.
There are four of us! Parents and a 20 & a 21 year old. Then there are more of us: 2 horses, 3 dogs, a rooster, 5 chooks and 2 sheep. We have a spacious home, with several acres of grass and also natural bush, views, swimming pool and tennis court.
We would like a helper to mainly assist with fences, gardens & driveway and painting. We would like 4 hours per day of help, that would be great! We eat vegetarian, so its healthy!

We have a 16 hectare bush block in the Yarra Valley. This is a lifestyle property with only a small vegetable garden for personal use. We are off the grid, so are self-sufficient with solar power.

We have an immediate need for a handyman to help with general home maintenance as well as some bush clearing in preparation for the coming summer.

We can provide accommodation and meals in our comfortable 4 bedroom home in exchange for a few hours work a day.

You will have your own bedroom and separate bathroom and have access to the internet via wifi.

It would be helpful if you have your own car as we are in a remote area with the nearest public transport 15 km away. There is much to see and do in our region and you will have plenty of time to do some sight- seeing and visiting the local wineries.

It would be an advantage if you could operate a tractor and a chainsaw.

Hello Helpers,

We are situated in the beautiful Mitta valley of north east Victoria on the boarder to NSW. We have the mitta river running through the property, with great fishing, and it is a lovely place to take a swim during summer.

We have a large family operated dairy, and we are always looking for a bit of help around the farm, house and garden and there are always small odd jobs to do. We are very interested in people who are keen to learn about rural Australia, and we also like learn about your lifestyle and culture. We enjoy having positive and energetic people around us, and we love to learn what motivates people.

You will be living on site with us, and in return for your work you will get tasty food. The work will be suited to your abilities and we are happy to pick you up in Albury.

Happy travels, and thank you for reading this.
Mac and Pat

Hi there! I am looking for a person or couple of people to help me out with garden maintenance and general house maintenance. We live an hour by train to Melbourne (that's from 'door' to 'door') and are very close to the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. You will have your own room (2 single beds if you're part of a couple)and I will provide all meals for you and cook the evening meal. I don't mind if you smoke cigarettes but this must be outside. Alcohol is okay if it's a glass of wine or two a night - but not excessively. Obviously, no drug use will be tolerated at all. Preferably, I would love to have French speaking people (to learn/practise) a bit myself, but most importantly, people who are polite, honest and happy :) You are welcome to stay from 2 weeks to 3 months and I would appreciate help for 3 hours per day (or 5 hours on one day and you can have the day off the next). Kind regards, Belinda

All Welcome, as long as you are a cheerful person ;-) COUPLES very welcome!

Hello, I'm Toni ;-) Located one hour from Melbourne city, Kalorama is in the Dandenong ranges. If you are looking for a homestay experience in a quiet semi-rural mountain area, where for the most part you will work independently, this may be the place for you. Jobs to be done involve gardening, cooking, cleaning and outdoor work. For anyone who has handyman/woman skills there are also other small jobs. The home is set on a modest third of an acre block (NOT a farm). Buses are near for you to make your way around the Yarra ranges and Melbourne. The area is also a good place for the serious bike rider. Cheerful helpers welcome. I speak Italian, and welcome any Italian travellers. All ethnicities welcome! I will pick up from the station.
