We are an Australian family living in Provence, in the department of Vaucluse close to Avignon, Chateaunueuf du Pape, Nimes and Uzes, our property is in a beautiful forest setting overlooking a natural spring river with waterfalls in the middle of a forest. In the heart of the Cote Du Rhone, with cycling, vineyards and activities galore. Our nearest town is Orange which is renowned for its Roman Theatre which is described as the “most impressive still existing in Europe”. Our area is renowned for its wines and local produce.

We need help all year, from June 2017 and possibly through December to help restore our 17th Century Mill House and aqueduct back to its former glory. The Mill House sits in a very tranquil valley in 20 acres of land, all of which is woodland, with a beautiful meadow.

Our French is very basic but we both love chatting in French. Preferably, we are looking for people who enjoy and will assist building, gardening, painting, repointing stone walls, clear... more inside

I need a couple of bright young things (under 90) to visit and offer me advice on how to advance my projects in the vines and my fields.

All my vines are organic although I am not registered as the fees are extortionate and I have a very positive anti- Roundup attitude. Unfortunately not shared by my fellow viticulteurs.

All musicians, all marginals and all young people are very welcome.

In September I can offer work in grape-cutting but before I need help on building restoration and ground clearance.
If you are stuck for a bed or a hot free just let me know.

We are a french couple (37 and 44), with a 5 years old girl. We speak french and english. We try to live in an eco-friendly way of live. We have few animals : 2 cats and 2 horses

We are living, for 8 years, close to the nice village of Argenton les Vallees, in an old hostel (17th century) on an ancient way to St-Jacques of Compostelle. This house is nice but was very cold and wet and we often are working for improving it with natural and local materials and alternative techniques (straw insulation, rocket-stove, dry toilets...).

Beside this works, we are working for a little association promoting a simple and sustainable way of life, including the food, houselife and "how to ecofriendly move in the countryside" topics. Then we have a lot of knowlegde to share, mainly on ecological gardening and on saving energy.

We are keen to welcome very enthusiastic and curious helpers, ready to share our family lifestyle. We invite you to share all meals with us, meet our friends, share... more inside

We came from London to this wonderful region rich in many ways!
There is abundance of space, green fields and hidden gems. Many people have more than one project....creating their own adventure.
We provide a place for visitors to pay and stay helping them find the secrets of the region.

So stay here and help and we can show your our appreciation of wine growing by taking you or directing you to interesting vineyards. You may well pick up tips on how to cook French cuisine.
And you may develop a taste for learning French cuisine. We will be happy to show you.....and, at the same time provide an excellent balanced diet whilst you stay.
W
Perhaps you may want to learn about the hospitality business....we know something about that!
So we are hoping to find an English speaking man who wants to spend a few weeks here working in the garden and possibly help creating some great new areas.
Someone interested in old buildings and gardens.
We would ask you to work about 4 hrs daily... more inside

La Capelle is a beautiful very old farmhouse surrounded by fields and garden. It takes a lot of upkeep and we have exciting plans to change the design of a large chunk of the garden. We would welcome help to achieve the work. There will be building dry stone walls, garden paths a lean to on the side of the barn for storage. There is a lot of general gardening for anyone interested in less physically demanding work. Even taking over the cooking in order to free us up to do the more heavy duty work. We offer good food and decent accommodation. Thank you.

Hi helpers ! Salut les helpers ! (en français à la fin)

*Having a break with my renovation work for the moment*

I own a shared house with a garden, 2mn from the town center of Aurillac. We are 2 girls, 29 and 32 years old. We enjoy meeting people and talking about our different cultures.
The house is always lively, a lot of friends often come to visit us.
I travelled as a helper before and really enjoyed this experience. With my room-mates, we like dancing, gardening and having fun. We all speak english (not perfectly, as you can read it) and spanish (quite good). I also speak german.
Auvergne is a green and pleasant area, perfect for nature lovers.

I'm looking for handywomen and handymen to help me renovate my house step by step. It's not in a bad state, but there's some renovation work to be done. If you like it, you can also help outside (chop wood, build a greenhouse or garden for example). I'm not a great handywoman myself, but I have friends who give me good advi... more inside

We are a 32 years old couple, Guillaume and Kristyna. Guillaume is French and me, I am Czech so we speak both french and czech language and of course english, but not perfect :-)

Guillaume is a sailor and so I am very often alone, and I need help mostly with the animals, gardening but also with the building or now mainly demolition :-) works on the house.

Generally I leave you alone during the day, we see each other in the morning and in the evening. You will be free to make your own food and I can enable you to use our car for your trips.

We live in un old traditional brittany farmstead which we restore in its original state if it's possible or very close to it. We are at the beginning of the works, till now we mostly took off all the concrete and all these not really fine materials and bad interventions. We use only traditional materials as the clay, stones, lime and wood.

Only one part of the building is habitable temporarily. That's why it's really simple, and we hav... more inside

We live in a hamlet called Piques in the Midi-Pyrenées region on the border of Ariège. The nearest village called Montbrun-bocage is a great example of the hippies lifestyle of the region.
The Pyrenees are located at 70 km for those who like the hiking and you are about 2 hours drive from spain.
The hamlet includes four other families of all ages. The latest arrivals are a young couple of musicians with a little girl and we also rent our second home to a mother and her three children. Many differente and beautiful people live in the same place.

About us :
We are a small family composed of myself Christine my daughter colomba and my parents Jean and Paulette. This is my parents' house but I came back to support them because my mother has alzheimer and my father has to take care of 9 hectares of land. The land includes 4 hectares of forest, there are about hundred fruit trees and a large vegetable garden. We grow fruit and vegetables organically for our own use and follow bio... more inside
