Small double room available most of the time. Ideally a single man who is happy to so the heavier work around a new farm, such as fencing. I am recovering from a foot injury, and struggling to cope with the heavier work around the place!

I also have two ponies that are ready to be broken in, if there is an experienced rider out there looking for a place!

If you have mechanical interest there may be the chance to help with welding, painting etc. of bodywork or mechanical work on vintage military or agricultural vehicles. Experience not always necessary, but a love of very old vehicles IS! And be warned, this is much harder work than a modern car - all the parts are VERY heavy!

I have a non-organic smallholding of 10 acres, (about 15 miles from my house), with small ponies, poultry, geese, etc., plus a few new fruit trees, and willow for living structures, dried basketry and sculptures. I teach textile arts- spinning, weaving etc, and am happy to teach this and English to he... more inside

I have Yurts and Gypsy Caravans in Cumbria, on Lake Winderemere.

In March for 2 weeks (4th - 15th) these will be put up and fettled, I am offering accommodation, food and hopefully quite a unique experience for this duration to help with this.

There will be about 10 days work over 2 weeks and we will be working in the woods on the shores of Lake Windermere which is an idillic location.

No experience necessary as full training will be provided.
Just be motivated, friendly, and not worried about a bit of physical work outside.
2 weeks commitment required.
Please phone or email us for more information.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Successful racehorse training yard - Helmsley Horse Racing. Looking for help in the mornings with mainly yard duties, mucking out the horses, caring for them, mostly non riding position, but will be able to go racing with the horses occasionally. Great chance to be part of a successful racing yard, with friendly staff, in a beautiful area of North Yorkshire. We are 3 miles from the quaint market town Helmsley, and the nearest bus station is in our village -Nawton. Superb walks in beautiful countryside on your door step for your days off. This is a unique cultural exchange and a way for racing enthusiasts to experience English race horse training first hand, a traditional sport which is part of the English heritage.

We run a luxury B&B with a small holding in a very small village close to Malton, North Yorkshire. We moved in to the house in Nov 09 and before that the house hadn't been lived in for 4 years. We have renovated the house and now run a 5 Star Gold Bed & Breakfast.

Jan 2013
The house is now fully renovated, but the gardens have been neglected over the winter. We would like to make a veg patch and there is lots of tidying up to be done in the garden to make the place nice for opening the B&B in mid February 2013. Someone with some experience of gardening and odd job work, including logging, would be ideal. We have 3 dogs, so it wouldn't suit someone who doesn't like dogs.

We live in 300 year old Grade 2 listed terraced cottage in central Frome. We have 2 small children, no pets and a lot of work to do. We would love some help to bring our house into the 21st century which includes redecorating ie stripping wall paper & paint, plastering, painting, gardening and other bits and pieces. We also have an allotment around the corner which would appreciate some attention. Happy to supply wholesome meals and accommodation in the spare bedroom. Hours of work are negotiable but we would hope for 4 - 5hrs a day on average. No smokers please. We will be taking helpxers next summer end of July 2013.
