A countryside property, with, dogs, cat, a horse and three ponies. Having built the house and yard there is endless outside work to be done - clearing ditches, cutting back, laying hedges, planting, harrowing, mowing. The horses need looking after too, mucking out and riding or lunging in the arena.

Generally good signal for mobile phones and wifi freely available. We are outside a village and about 5 miles to Southam, the nearest town. Having said that Leamington Spa is 20 minutes, Banbury is equally 20 mins drive.

Local attractions include, Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford Canal, Biscester Village, Oxford (50 mins in the car), Sulgrave Manor, Canons Ashby.... and miles of countryside to explore.

We run an arable farm with around 30 cattle, two pet sheep, and plenty of books too! It is a romantic setting on the edge of the Yorkshire wolds and near the Howardian hills. We are also 12 miles from York city Centre. We are currently renovating the property and need general help, which will be specific at certain times of the year. We grow our own vegetables, keep chickens and can offer an idyllic experience of life in the English countryside to anyone who is willing to help us with the many needs of the farm. let us know if you are interested. Please only apply if you are fit and healthy as farming is mostly hard work.In exchange we offer accommodation, lovingly prepared meals, a glimpse into our varied social life and english conversation.

We have a lot of garden, with a pair of houses which we sometimes use as holiday cottages and otherwise run our business from which is both a therapy service and architectural design.
We are a couple over 60 years of age and have too much physical work in the garden, plus house maintenance. We would also be interested in someone doing some cooking at times.
This property is in a beautiful seaside village with limited bus service so a car would be an advantage.
Ideally we would seek a young or middle aged fit couple or single male who is independent and have good English as for 2 days of the week you would be alone at the property after September.
The property is in an area of great natural beauty overlooking the south coast, where walking, fishing and cycling are popular.

Kate and I are in our mid thirties, we live in beautiful Mid Wales with our amazing 1 year old son Rowan, our excitable dog Jonathan and our cat Simba. We rent our home which has a reasonable amount of land and though we haven't lived here long we plan to be here a while and have lots of ideas for different projects, we also own a 9 acre woodland with some friends which we are in the very early stages of developing into an Eco-Tourism project. We always seem to have loads to do and not enough time to do it. We have plans for bees, a small orchard, a river side chill out area, a tree house, etc, etc... We like to have a go at lots of things and we'd be particularly happy to hear from anyone with a particular skill/passion who wants a space to be creative.

Our main reason for wanting people is that we've done quite a bit of Helpx-ing in our time and loved meeting and sharing good times with people and would like to continue this even though we're aren't travelling at the ... more inside

This is a farm-based education organisation. Our story is the 'shieling' - a tradition where folk went up to the hills with the livestock every summer. Schools, teachers and local community visit our site to learn about the shieling and through it the Highland landscape, heritage and sustainable lifestyles. We are looking for volunteers to help us run our small farm (croft) and support our educational provision. You will be able to help restore traditional buildings, build new sustainable educational buildings, work in our micro-dairy, and garden, as well as keeping the educational facilities clean and organised (it doesn't take long for kids to make a mess!). You won't be expected to deliver education, but will be able to support our staff and take part in learning - from Gaelic songs and stories, to dairying and archaeology. You will have accommodation in our staff house, with your own room and shared washing and cooking rooms. Some weeks we have lots of visitors and some we d... more inside

--We have a gap from 15th-16th August for some serious weeding. No experience needed!--

We are a family of three living in a 400 year old cottage on a tiny farmstead at the edge of the beautiful New Forest National Park (in fact the national park starts right at the edge of our garden). Our cottage is on a sheep farm, but we are NOT the farmers. We are close to Salisbury, Bournemouth and Southampton and are approx. 1.5-2 hours away from London. We can also walk to the river Avon for a refreshing swim.

We grow all our own veg for the family in summer and winter and have recently enlarged our veg plot to include perennial vegetables. We also have a small orchard, a soft fruit bed and a herb bed to look after, as well as three ducks and four chickens. Unfortunately, one of us has recently been diagnosed with arthritis, so we're struggling to keep up with the work.

We would love help with: weeding, mowing, harvesting, preserving, cleaning out chicken and duck coups, digging n... more inside
