Hi all,

Busy beekeeper looking for an extra hand with some tasks. Mostly inside shed work to do with preparation of bee hive equipment. This will mostly be waxing bee frames or assembling bee boxes etc. On occasions if wanted it will also be possible to help out on the bee sites out in some beautiful natural New Zealand spots checking hives, honey or queen bee rearing.

You should not be allergic to bees. It is possible to get a bee sting if looking through bee hives or working with the bees. A bee suit and gloves will be provided to minimise this.

Relaxed friendly environment the house is home to four other young (25-30) active people , you will need to be willing to do a minimum of 3 hours a day in exchange for a room and facilities food can be provided but you may need to prepare yourself depending on my work schedule.

We have sold the farm and went 'offline' with helpx because we moved into a tiny flat. Finally in our new home on our 5 ha 'lifestyle block' approx 10 minutes north of Whangarei since July '18. There is landscaping to do, also possibly planting and painting at times.
Once we get the grounds sorted, we will want to plant trees, provided it doesn't get too dry.

We have one spare bedroom with en-suite - so it's one visitor, or a couple who are comfortable sharing a queen sized bed.
Love gourmet food, international cuisine, we're omnivorous, we have a boardgame group that meets fortnightly, Suze is into all kinds of fibre arts and crafts, Peter does 'fine' Woodwork. Going to cut it short here ...

I am a very friendly hardworking person who has lived in the Bay of Islands for 25 years on a large property operating a holiday home.

I have recently shifted to a smaller property further North of Kerikeri, with smaller grounds & gardens and sea views.

I love to host vibrant and fun people keen to just muck in with every day tasks and help plan and execute any new ideas. You must be a dog friendly person and if you have any computer skills it is a real bonus! I usually have a list of tasks and you will have to be prepared to work on your own sometimes.
My preference is for mature people, wishing to stay for a maximum period of 1 week.

Just bring along a happy to help attitude is all you need at my place, because to me any help I receive is always greatly appreciated and I too have a "happy to help" attitude.

I speak English only, cook great meals and provide a good standard of accommodation.

I happily transport helpers to and from Kaeo township and to various nice... more inside

We are a family of four (including two boys aged 7 & 9), living on our family farm, situated on the south side of the Whangarei Harbour. The farm has been in the family for at least 140 years. We currently farm sheep and cattle, along with ducks and hens! We are not organic but are practising biological / regenerative farming methods. We have plans to diversify, which include building a harbourside walkway, replanting an old orchard with citrus and subtropical fruit, improving our olive grove and planting some more land in NZ natives. We are currently working on some farm-stay accommodation and are continuing with our traditional farm activities, including seasonal jobs such as shearing sheep and haymaking. We are also working on adding value to our coarse wool, by making rugs and other products.

Work depends on time of year, but includes gardening and weeding, general farm work, sometimes building maintenance eg painting, tree planting and possibly general house work such ... more inside

The property is situated 2.5 km from Matapouri Bay in a quiet valley. The land was farmed by the previous owner until 2018 but is now being actively regenerated into native bush. We are also developing a glamping site. There are many birds around, and one known kiwi within earshot.

Work may involve gorse and other weed control (no spraying), grass clearing around trees and planting/pruning depending on what is needed at the time. We are happy to work with your skills, interests and fitness levels.

Accommodation is a choice of the house or caravan. Leisure activities include swimming, tramping, kayaking.

We look forward to meeting you and working with you to share skills and knowledge.

Please respect our no smoking, no drugs, light alcohol expectations.

We are looking for a person or a couple from Early August through to late September.
we are going away and are looking for someone to stay over that time - we would have 3 chinese students (they are lovely and their english is good) here at the time and the jobs would be to grocery shop and cook an evening meal for these three student (they go to Tech 4 days a week and they get their own breakfast and lunches). We need someone who can stay the whole time as we are going to be out of the country.
Apart from cooking for three +yourselves and grocery shopping there would be a little light housework and also picking up some cafe scraps each day in town and feeding the pigs (two very friendly spoilt Kunekune sows). You would also need to be comfortable using an enclosed log fire for heating. We would set up an account with a debit card so that you can shop and we would make sure that you left with more money than you arrived with. We relocated from Australia to NZ in 2018, therefore our earlier reviews for are our previous location.

We are a family of 6, Amber, Richard, our 3 young boys Kahlil, Tasman and Jeorgy and baby Fern. We live in the beautiful Parua bay area and are establishing our farm using permaculture principles and organic methods. Meals are mixed, vegetarian and meat, using all our own organic produce and game of our farm, and will be with us. We are only 15 mins from Whangarei city, and very close to many beautiful walks, beaches, and places of interest. Work is varied, including, gardening, animal care, building, fencing, home help. Thanks for reading, look forward to hearing from you.

We have a little sheep (10 sheep) and grow vegetables for home use.
Our farm sits on a hilltop overlooking the sea and we offer private lodging and all meals (mostly organic) and cater to all diets.
We need help with winter vegetable planting, paddock maintenance, weeding and raking leaves.
We enjoy hosting overseas visitors, speak fluent French and love helping travellers perfect their English
Life is pretty chill up here on the farm, with quiet evenings under the beautiful night sky. Stargazing is excellent.
We provide all meals and much of our food is organic and grown in our own garden.
We look forward to seeing you!
