You will need your own transport. We are about 15 mins from Raglan, 20 mins from Ruapuki breaks and 10 mins from Bridal Vale falls.

We are Dougal and Danielle and we live in a house a 5 minute walk from Raglan town.

We can offer private accommodation in a sleep out away from the house which would suit a single person or couple.

The work is 1 hour a day helping with projects around the property. Think building a wood shed or a deck so the more skilled you are at this kind of work the better. Tools provided. There may also be garden work too so skills in that area could be useful.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Dougal and Danielle

lifestyle block north of Hamilton City on the edge of Lake Areare. House originally built as small privately owned recuperation retreat which we converted to our wonderful family home. With children having left for adventures of their own, we would like to share our home, local attractions and delicious meals in return for practical help weeding and tidying in our sprawling [unruly] garden, and jobs around the house. We have private space with a separate bathroom for 2 single people or a couple. Whilst we can help with transport, we suggest having your own vehicle would be more practical.

This is a small Connemara Pony Stud and we have other horses grazing here. We also have various pets, dogs x3, cats x1, and hens. Plus we run a few cattle to control the grass. Areas of the farm is planted in maize.
We need help with general farm work, for example mucking out yards/stables, controlling weeds, pruning/gardening, care of the livestock and handling/working with the ponies. Painting fences and general maintenance.
The work does depends on the weather, the time of the year, so the jobs are varied. Maybe an opportunity to housesit if I do need to go away for a few days.
Also enjoy meals cooked by our guests :-)

The property is located near Lake Karapiro, a place for Rowing and other water sports. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato and the Thoroughbred Horse Industry.
Cambridge is about an hour from both coasts, and Rotorua. Thus a handy spot to see many wonderful places in NZ.

My two children, daughter Kathleen 25, and son Angus 23, are busy with t... more inside
