Kia ora
I'm a woman (early 50's) living in Waikino- a rural village just off SH2 in the Karangahake Gorge, between Waihi and Paeroa. I share a 3bdrm house with 1 flatmate who is not home alot.

I have a small section 1000sqm and I grow fruit, veges, herbs, and have a beehive which is tended by a local beekeeper. I would love for you to come and experience a little of kiwi life..

I like to meet people from different countries and cultures...it keeps life interesting and I would love to learn to speak French or Spanish but all nationalities welcome. I love music and want to hear your music and stories. I offer healthy homecooked food and welcome both meat eaters, and vegetarians.

I have 99 % finished building a bamboo / cob studio which you will sleep in. It is warm and dry and seperate from the main house so you have some privacy. However you will need to share the Bathroom which is also in the main house.

There is much work to be done and I like to match your skills... more inside

Our place is an urban property on the outskirts of town with a rural outlook. We are a 3 person family myself and 2 children aged 7 and 9. We have lived here for coming up seven years and have a small organic garden, 2 bantam chickens a little black poodle mixture and a cat McKinney. We have a diverse range of neighbours, it is a quiet spot close to the Ohinemuri river there are walks and good swimming spots right outside our door. There is a German Bakery with wonderful sourdougg bread in town which is a ten minute walk away - there are other nice shops in Waihi town also.

I have several projects Iím involved with currently and could really use an extra pair of hands and just someone to chat in the house (Iím very sensitive so wonít chat annoyingly I promise).
There are plenty of gardening jobs & some inside to do but not a lot maybe 2 hours per day at your leisure. The property also has a small native tree area inside which we have a fire bath :-) I'd love to have someone hel... more inside

We are a baby boomers living on a lifestyle block on the outskirts of Hamilton. We have a comfortable home with a large garden and orchard area. On the farm we run a few beef cattle, sheep and Angora goats, and we have one house dog.

We are a handy base if you want to check out places like Hobbiton and Hamilton, or go surfing at Raglan by the Sea. Also close to Waitomo and the Waikato River and all the activities that they offer.

The work can be a mix of gardening and farm work, house-keeping and cooking, just depending what is going on at the time.

So if you would like to visit, please contact me and we'll see whether the dates will fit with our schedules.

Agrofoerstry farm with a working Dairy unit, forestry areas of Pine, Eucalyptus, Kauri Natives, Nut and Fruit trees and 3-400 Paulownia trees, as well as natural feature areas of ignimbrite cliffs left behind as remnants of the Toupo eruption 1800 years ago. We are attempting to create a track through a native planted area from the farm track up to the top of the feature cliff area. A stay of 1-2 weeks would be advantageous in assisting in tackling this project. All tools will be provided, if it is during the Trout season, October 1 - 30 June then there is fishing available with a licence. The Mangatutu stream runs along the boundary of the farm and is clean and swimmable. Tourist attractions in the area are plenty with Waitomo Caves 30 minutes away, Otorohanga Kiwi house 20 mins, Hobbiton, Kawhia, Raglan and Rotorua all within an hour - 1.5 hours away. You will need your own transport if possible, Tess works off the farm so is going to town most days. All linen supplied and washed... more inside

I'm a French kiwi farmers' wife. I arrived in NZ 32 years ago and married a local NZ Sheep / Beef Farmer. I have an orchard with a French twist!, I am very keen on my vege garden to feed as much as I can the family, we have a collection of poultry (chooks, ducks, guinea fowls) all free ranging and raised to be eaten as well as rabbits. I'm trying to become as self sufficient as I can and definitely try to use biological principals in my home environment as well as on the farm. Brien's hobby is deer and ducks hunting.

GENERAL INFORMATION
There is always lots work to do around the house. Vegetable planting, picking, fruit picking and preserving, weeding, pruning, redesigning the garden, taking care of the animals around the house and of course some farmwork helping Brien.
We have 2 hosting rooms with private shower rooms. Bedding and linen will be provided as well as all meals. We are 12km from the closest village Piopio with dairies, superette and bus stop.
We are 45 min from W... more inside

I am a 57 year old vegetarian woman living in a rustic, little bach with a spare sleepout in Raglan township. Suit vegetarian couple or single female. On the east side of Raglan so you must have your own vehicle if you are a surfer. 20 minutes walk to Raglan township. Bed, wifi and power provided for 2 hours work a day. Please note: you need to provide & cook your own food - I am on a budget and do not have the funds to feed you. I have a dog and a cat that are allowed inside. I also have 5 ducks in the backyard that aren't allowed inside :)-my back yard is more like a farm paddock with pond, sheds, plenty of duck poop and various implements laying around. You need to really like animals, understand about recycling or be prepared to learn, and clean up after yourself. At the moment my son is living with me, so I want someone do daily housework - dishes, wiping surfaces and vacuuming. There is also garden maintenance, pet feeding, and general cleaning to be done around my home. Ragl... more inside

Hi, we are based in Waitetuna, 15 minutes drive from Raglan (the home of great surfing, coffee, arts and music) and 20 minutes to Hamilton, on a 12ha (30acre) lifestyle block.

We have dogs, cats, horses, chickens and cattle. We are also parents to two boys(aged 10 and 8).

We are a busy family...and so are after someone who can help with house cleaning, cooking, gardening and building....

We have a spacious room available, can accommodate a couple.

Ideally have own transportation to see the sights Raglan has to offer.. however this is not essential as there is a bus stop nearby.

We don't cater for any special dietary requirements sorry...

We look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to New Zealand.

We would love you to join us on a Help X experience - we have hosted so many people over the past 8 years and have loved meeting all the wonderful people from all over the world.

Our family is social, slightly crazy professional kiwis, with the two boys (9 & 13 years), and a 4 year old Samoyed dog named Chilli. We are both University Graduates and working full time. My husband works as a Senior Manager in Banking and I am self employed working from home which sees me travel away from home.

An exchange at our place will provide your own large room with a very comfortable queen sized bed away from the main house, access to wifi, and real kiwi family experiences. We ask for 4 hours work per day, with tasks involving household chores, child minding, gardening, or whatever we may have going on at the time. The work will not be difficult and will be chores that we normally do ourselves.

The kids are adorable, cheeky, funny, challenging, hilarious, energ... more inside

My wife Sarah and I and our 1 year old daughter live on a small lifestyle block with our Great Dane dog, donkeys and chickens. We have a small 36m2 dwelling on our property perfect for people to stay in (separate from our house).

We have just finished building so are in the process of putting in gardens, landscaping etc. We would love some help with tidying up the property, renovate the sleep-out (extra bracing, add extra windows ect), painting, making a chicken house, putting in gardens, staining decks etc etc.. the list goes on!

We are situated approximately 1/2 an hour to Thames and 1/2 hour to Paeroa, an hour to both Hamilton or Auckland so are very central.

Would love some help with this!

Accommodation and a simple breakfast provided for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week.
