We live on the Napier Taupo road where we manage a small vineyard in Esk Valley. We have both traveled a lot, I have WWOOFed in Europe and South Korea and and my husband has worked on various vineyards in Germany and California.

Jobs are a mix of housework, cooking and gardening.

We are a 10 minute walk from the Esk River which is nice for swimming in summer and a 10 minute drive from the beach. There is also the Eskdale mountain bike park not far from us.

We also live next door to the Zeelandt Brewery which has a great selection of very good craft beers!

Accommodation - Room with 1 double bed and sole use of downstairs bathroom.

Meals would be mainly cooked for you but if you like cooking are more then happy for you to cook as part of your four hours.

We prefer mature travellers (over 20) and ask that you have your own transport.

We have a 10 month old baby but you will be sleeping downstairs and have your own bathroom.

We live on an 6 acre lifestyle block, where I am trying to re design the outdoor space according to permaculture principles. I have been on this land for 3 years, in that time I have worked on a lot of projects trying to make way for food forests, vegetable gardens, more diverse planting around the wetland area to attract the native birds and bees, setting up tanks and energy systems to become self-sufficient. I still have many projects I would like to complete to achieve my goals of the ideal space including creating garden sheds, nursery areas, planting, creating a toilet block, space for other alternate accommodation, bird cages in the eucalyptus paddock, finishing of the barn, rain water collection tanks etc. I am a part of the local permaculture group and tree croppers association. I love meeting new people and imparting my knowledge on a range of topics, while learning about your story as well.
The main house is a log cabin which looks out over the wetland, we also have a sl... more inside

We are looking for two helpers for a week to ten days as soon as possible.

We are a Kiwi/Brazilian couple who have a lifestyle block six kilometres from Hastings in the sunny Hawke's Bay. We have moved a house onto our block and we are planting and developing the block.

We have cows, chickens, fruit trees and vegetables.Work will include gardening/weeding, cutting thistles ( not too many), weeding around trees and watering etc.

We both speak fluent Portuguese as well as English and we are keen to meet travellers from any part of the world.

We ask four hours work a day in exchange for board and home-cooked meals, with two days off for five days worked - you choose which days you'd like to have off.
We eat a healthy diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Although we eat a lot of vegetarian food, we are not able to accommodate fully vegetarian helpers at this time.

We have a large separate warm and cosy log cabin for you to stay in , with its o... more inside

Hey HelpXers:

Welcome to NZ! Thanks for checking our posting. We are looking for one HelpXer or one HelpX couple very soon, primarily for chores around the house such as weeding, cleaning and the like. For one or both of you this may *possibly* involve a little bit of cash work as a furniture mover if you are interested.

If you’re ready to do some household chores, are good with and kind to animals, we would love to hear from you.

We like to host people who can complete tasks with minimal instruction, though are always available to demonstrate the chores and answer any questions you may have (about chores or our lovely area of NZ). It's best that you have a good understanding of English, though you need not be proficient, that's part of the fun! We enjoy Helpers who are GOOD cooks. We love to try different, delicious and healthy foods so if you would like to share a bit of your culture with us it would be wonderful to have you prepare a meal for us! We would apprec... more inside

Only 4 chickens at present!.. and someone's beehives. There is always thistle and blackberry grubbing/elimination. Help with the vegetable garden would be helpful also.

Accommodation is the spare room in family home to begin with... or camping if desired.
We are a low meat, mainly vegetarian household.
We have a non-verbal teenage boy with autism so some understanding of this condition would be useful.

We are a couple with a 6 year old daughter (Hebe). We own and operate a sheep and beef farm, 30 minutes West of Napier, out from Taradale. We have 4 farm working dogs all friendly and safe. Our farm is very scenic with wide expansive views flowing down to the Mangone and Waihau rivers. Great for walking and sight seeing. We enjoy having international visitors coming to stay and share their culture (cooking) and experiences with us. We have a cosy house with large surrounds and gardens. We have a large vegetable garden and Orchard we are developing, so work can include gardening, household cleaning, and various farm labour tasks during busy periods. We have 4G wifi.

We are a small family farm in a beautiful valley in Hawke's Bay and are looking for fun, energetic people to assist with a variety of property maintenance as we set up for a sheep dairy. We have quite a lot of physical work, clearing of land, firewood, landscaping, digging, fencing, sheep work etc. We are a busy family and have had experience hosting on another property before. We really enjoy the value helpers bring to us and hope they have a very enjoyable stay with a typical kiwi farming family in a very beautiful part of NZ.

A typical farming family with of 5, mum dad & 3 kids aged 14,12, 11 and we have quite a variety of types of animals, that will be bound to amuse anyone. Farming sheep n beef and deer. Half an hour from town and half an hour from the Porangahau beach ensures beautiful views and low traffic. This home is suited for an able person/couple looking for somewhere foreign but friendly, doesn't have to have a lot of experience but still needs to be able to adapt to a mixture of house and farming life and still have fun. Be prepared to have to work with fair hours. Must have a sense of humour. You will be able to experience a wonderful environment in a small community. You will be very welcome!
