We are Tony and Briar, and we are dairy farming in the Far North. We have an almost 3 year old son, a 6 month old daughter and lots of cows, two dogs and two chooks... We are a happy little family and enjoy meeting new people.

We enjoy having little adventures such as bush walks, beach excursions and fishing when the time allows, although the dairy farm keeps us very busy! Our farm is located within 40 minutes of both West and East Coast beaches, a perfect base to explore our beautiful region from.

We would love some help with some basic tasks on the farm, in particular, fencing, around the house, with our young children, and with our garden.

You will have your own room in a sleepout.

We are looking forward to meeting some lovely new people and sharing a little of our farming lives and kiwi culture with you. In return, we would like you to show some initiative, be curious- ask us questions about our lives/farming/nz, be polite- please and thank-yous are really important... more inside

The magical wild and rambling Quince Cottage gardens are in need of some special tender loving care and maintenance! Needs include weeding, pruning and composting with some opportunity for creative pathway, trellis and outdoor living design. At present accommodation for willing workers is a separate and spacious self contained studio close to the house. Both accommodation and meals are offered in exchange. Meals are predominantly vegetarian from local, organic seasonal produce with fermented condiments included. I am 10 minutes from Keri keri township (could pickup from town), a few minutes walk to tidal landing ideal for kayaking and approx 5 minutes drive to a beaut sandy swimming beach.

We are situated in Waimate North, about 15 minutes from downtown Kerikeri.

My husband works on the dairy farm down the road and I am a jazz pianist and singer. I teach piano from here and go to schools a couple of days a week as well.

We need help with general property maintenance, vegetable garden digging, tilling and planting, and sharing in household chores like cooking or cleaning.

The right person could look at staying for a couple of months if it works out well for all of us.

My mum lives on the property too, we are Christians and have respect for your personal space and well-being.
We have a beautiful view of rolling hills and farmland from my house. It is very peaceful.

We keep chickens, a beehive, a very friendly dog who loves playing with a tennis ball (now two dogs)and a cat. There is also a big vegetable garden and avocado trees.

We look forward to meeting you! :-)

Small property 7km from Russell township. Friendly accommodation wanting help with gardens and cleaning. I am also looking to find 2 mature well presented people to work for 2 months December/January as housekeepers parttime. Previous experience would be great. The work is in private houses in beautiful surrounds. You would need a car. Work is guaranteed and but not full time which gives you the opportunity to find other work. I can help with this. A great opportunity to be employed in one of the best summer regions in NZ.

Hi!

My name is David, I am a sailor who is living in a beautiful village of Mangonui.

I have a project : a cottage and sailing boat I need artists, and people who love gardening to transform this place with lot of colours and atmosphere.

The job is : 4 hours per day for free accommodation or camping, lunch and diner ! Not many places but enough to have a lot of fun together! ....minimum stay one week !!
So, if you are friendly, smiling, with the will to share and interested to be part of this project you are welcome !!!

I like vegetables (I have a vegetables garden) and I eat a lot of fruits and healthy food. My priority to receive people is : cook together, made bread, spend time together, learn about each other, go fishing or get shellfish...

Your own car can be a help if you want to discover Northland ! Cap Rienga, Doubtless Bay, Kerikeri, Bay of Islands... and the far north!

Hope to see you soon !

David

Hi

Tim milks 60 cows on my family Farm here in Oromahoe which is actually about 1 hour north of Whangarei and only 10 minutes drive to Paihia and Kerikeri. The milk is used in our Cheese factory. Along with the 60 milking cows there is general farm work ie fencing weeding fertilizing, haymaking, tractor work, firewood. There is three generations of cows to care for. The Milkers, the Yearlings and the Calves.Work On the farm really suits those that have a genuine interest in farming ,in return Tim Is happy to invest his time in sharing what he knows. On the scale of farms in NZ this farm would be considered small. Accomodation is at My Mother and Fathers place across the field .there's a pizza oven in the garden and we like to use it at much as possible. I love the ocean.... surfing, diving, fishing, just being in it! So when possible I'm there! I would prefer older (25 + years)
Currently we have space for up to two helpers. give me a call to discus what we have available. Regar... more inside

We run cows with calves at foot, we have chickens to feed. We have extra chores around the property pruning our beautiful trees on the driveway, clearing paddocks of wood, chipping thistles and gorse, helping with fencing, vegetable gardening and general maintenance.
We have a beautiful outside self contained cottage to stay in. It has a queen bed so suit a couple or single. Person would require a vehicle as we are out of town a bit. We are also very central to many amazing sightseeing adventures of the Far North for you to explore.

Our property is in the southern bay of islands. We live simply and are off grid. Our power is generated from the sun and wind and our water from the rain and an underground spring. We farm calves, chickens and pigs. We are also developing food gardens and a CAP camping area.

Our property boarders the Bay of Islands Vintage Railway and the Pou Herenga Tai the Twin Coast Cycle Trail.
