Nothing required here until May at the earliest.
I’m a 3-dimensional designer and visual artist who has a small holding with a small flock of sheep, chooks, a golden pheasant and a cat. I also have a treehouse on airbnb over Spring, Summer and early Autumn. Studio available for HelpX in winter which is warm with good linen, separate bathroom and outdoor BBQ space for cooking. It als has a microwave, kettle and toaster.
The studio is a beautiful, warm space with warm lighting, no chemicals used in its construction and is ‘barrel-vaulted’. Water is ‘rain-harvested’ and delicious. Or the treehouse if you prefer.
If you can cook I’ll be delighted. If not then work for accomodation only. A gardener would be great but tell me your skill sets and we can take it from there.

It helps to book in advance a little as certain times of year are very popular.
We are a small commercial sheep & beef farm, that adopts an organic approach to as much of our farming & lifestyle practices as possible, our household is largely generated towards recycling. We also adopt unwanted livestock, & foster dogs for rehoming. Our policy is for animals in our care to have quality of life. A small boutique boarding cattery & dog homestay is also run onsite. English is our only language.
Our guests MUST NOT smoke, have maturity to be self directed in their work to a certain degree, be respectful of our home & have a sense of humour! It is advantageous that our guests are comfortable around animals, particularly dogs & cats, as they will be working closely with these animals.
Guests would be asked to do 4 hours work daily per person in return for full board & lodging, in our comfortable home. Alternately, you may provide your own food by staying in separate farm style ac... more inside

We (my two teenagers and I) live in Leigh.. really beautiful seaside village about an hour north of Auckland and 20 min from Warkworth. Leigh is known for the Goat Island Marine Reserve, the Sawmill Cafe, its Fish and Chips (BEST in NZ!).
There is a lovely beach a few minutes walk away and the Leigh Sawmill Cafe (voted NZ's best small music venue year after year) We are surrounded by lots of beaches / regional parks etc. 10 minutes from Matakana village where you can go to Framers market/ get a good coffee and go to the movies (most beautiful cinemas in NZ) .. so great balance of nature and civilisation.I need a someone (single or a couple) to tame my wild garden, tidy up my my messy section and help keep the house clean while I'm at work. The deal is 4 hours work per day for food /meals and accomm.. You have to have your own car because there is no public transport and you will want to get out and about to see all the beautiful places there are to see... You will have you... more inside

We are currently not hosting until June 2018 when additional accomodation should be organised. We have a small farm with an interesting mix of animals, from cattle and sheep to emu and alpaca.

The long term plan is to become self sufficient, so lots of gardening, general farm maintenance and building work is available. Also carpentry, plumbing and plastering skills are always welcome.

We also source the majority of our power from solar panels, and harvest rain water. We also compost, recycle and try to be as zero waste as possible.

We have horses, stables and a show jumping arena.

24 hours of work, covered over 4 days per week are required to cover food and accomodation. The majority of our food is home grown.

Because of our rural location, your own transport is essential.

My new passion is brewing and distilling.

Hello Happy Travellers.
Welcome to share our spectacular sea views on the stunning east coast just north of Auckland. We're also set amidst forest, park and farmland. You'll find New Zealand's oldest marine reserve nearby and the area is full of beaches, harbours and beautiful places with a great sense of community.

We're looking for helpxers for mid March :) 2018.
The firewood needs splitting and stacking. There is also gardening, mulching, pruning and landscaping on the go, as well as cleaning, painting.

We're also on the lookout for an experienced chainsaw operator :)Or if you're a handy, practical carpenter or joiner, there's a potting shed to build and wooden slabs ready to turn into outdoor seating.

It's ideal if you have your own transport so you can really make the most of this very beautiful area. Otherwise, there are buses to Warkworth and it's easy to hitch-hike the half hour to us from there. Most people who hitch-hike get delivered to our door. Locals are... more inside

After 3 years in New-Zealand, living in Auckland City, we decided to move to the countryside when we found in the Tawharanui Peninsula (10 min from Matakana) this big house with an incredible seaview. We are only 4 minutes by foot from the nearest beach.

A bit about us : We are a French couple, Laura & Matthieu and we were in the middle of a world tour when we decided to settle in New-Zealand. We now have 2 little kiwi boys, Matthias who is 2 & Liam who is 6 months old.

We love to host travellers as we were once travellers ourselves using Helpx, couchsurfing during our adventures. Our best memories are in Australia where we travelled around the country in van for a year.

We are easy going and open-minded people who loves to share and talk about everything.

Matthieu is an IT engineer who loves cooking and Laura has a small guided tours company and loves photography. We both love nature, hiking and discovering new people and places.

Our guests need to be obviously chil... more inside
