I have a large section in a small township.

There is always jobs to be done around the property.

I am also a school teacher and visitors could spend some time in a New Zealand classroom.

I now have had 8 different visitors and have enjoyed them all. I look forward to new visitors.

Hi our names are Gen and Morgan. We live in Southland, near Riversdale (about an hour and a half from queenstown). We have a 360 cow dairy farm and would love a bit of help mainly watching our two children (two and five months) while i feed the calves. Preferably a female with some child care experience. As we do not have a spare bedroom in our house the accommodation would be just down the road with my parents. Someone with a car would be great as most our vehicles are being used over calving. (if not we can work something out however). We would ideally like someone short term ( a few days to a week etc). Must be a non smoker and drug free with no criminal record (or we must be told about it). Thanks

!!Thanks to all helpers throughout the years. The trees are growing well and endangered critters can be found on a regular base now, too!!

"Going green" since 2010 I appreciate any support with all the manual work in establishing permaculture on a previously uncultivated half acre block with a typical, simple NZ miners' cottage and a sleep out.

There's always general gardening, weeding, cutting lawns or firewood, house keeping, that need attention, even cooking if you like to learn how to manage a coal range. Any (matured) person experienced in e.g. carpentry, building, painting is especially welcome and appreciated.
At the moment renovation is in process with digging up water and sewage lines on the property, removing fences and some painting.

I try to keep it simple: you work 2 hours/head/day for your accommodation in an (unheated) caravan. If I can't offer more work for some reason you might find yourself helping out in the community or providing for yourself. Otherw... more inside

We have a 1900 farmhouse on an acre which we are restoring and landscaping. We are building stone walls, wooden sheds, atriums and so on. We need help particularly for landscaping and building. We are also about to spruce up the old pub here - built in the 1870's - which we are going to lease.
We need help in a whole lot of ways with that. There is a managers flat in the hotel for those who want to help and we will have meals together up the road at the farmhouse.Jobs there include establishing an organic kitchen garden.
