Our property is set in a peaceful, picturesque environment on the Halswell river, close to Christchurch, which is quiet & very peaceful.

We have a vegie garden that needs urgent attention, a couple of bee-hives, an orchard & a small business that produces vegetarian, gluten & additive free patties.

We need help to tidy the property & garden; jobs like re-invigorating 3 x vegie boxes,
levelling the orchard for easy mowing, general landscape work etc.

A one day's work for one day's play would be the best arrangement & we can accommodate a couple or 2 single guests.

All serious enquiries will receive a timely response.

I have a warm friendly creative 2bedroom home and caravan in Christchurch.
I like to be creative, love nature, am friendly open minded philisophical person.
My home is easy access to all locations, 5 minutes from the local shopping centre in Woolston and The Tannery Arcade. It is approximately 10 minutes drive to the City centre and to the beach in the opposite direction. I do not have wifi in my home however the nearest library is approximately 6-8 minutes drive in Linwood Eastgate Mall.

I wish to offer one nights accomodation, with continental breakfast and one main meal in exchange for 4 hours help. The person or persons will need to be physically fit, have initiative, and motivated, as my needs differ from day to day whether shifting pavers, painting, pruning trees, tiling, organizing resources, washing windows, basic carpentry or weeding gardens just to mention a few. Strange selection I know, however this is me at the moment, if anyone is capable & willing to accept suc... more inside

Our farm is located very close to the town of Lyttelton with 360 degree views of the surrounding hills and harbour. We have 150 goats and 20 cattle on a steep bushy farm. We have a spare room in our spacious warm house with separate shower and bathroom. We like to eat lots of fresh food and love to have our visitors cook food from their homeland if they like to. We have two school aged children who love to meet new people and are good company most of the time!

Warm regards

Help me! The weeds are winning! Okay, recently that have really began to win. Some are taller than me. We went away on holiday to return to a jungle.

Good size four bedroom house overlooking Lyttelton Harbour with bus access to Christchurch central. The residents are very LGBT friendly. You will get a room all to yourself and there is a spa tub as well.

The house is lovely but my yard is a different matter. Lots of brush clearing, planting, trimming bushes and grasses and lots of odd yard jobs. We are also doing some work to the outside of the house. I am sure there is more but this is what comes to mind.

Also there are two cats and a dog in the house so you need to be animal friendly. Chooks are happy in their coop and like going for a wander around the yard at times.

In exchange for your assistance we provide a room with a queen size bed and meals. Usually, you take care of breakfast and lunch with the food provided and we make dinner. Of course if you are missin... more inside

Bruce and I are looking for helpers for our pre-harvest clean up, harvest and post-harvest. Peak dates range from the 12th March to the 29th March and 1st April through to the end of April. We have a lot of fun along the way and in all honesty hanging out among 1600 hazelnut trees is not such a bad way to spend a few days. Initially we prune some of the lower branches and clean under the trees, this makes harvest a lot easier as the nuts fall to the ground. We have a ride on machine that vacuum?s up the nuts and unloads onto a shaking screen. Then another vacuum system to load nuts onto trailer or directly into bags. Fairly labor intensive and can be quite physical. We can host up to 5 people comfortably in our 2-bedroom apartment available which is connected to the main house. Can look at this accommodation on Airbnb site under The Nut House Ladbrooks. Let us know by e-mail or text if you interested and dates that you would be available. We host helpers for around 7 days at a time.... more inside

Help with gardening, meal preparation, small handyman tasks required. Non smokers. We have a cat. We are a sporting and beach family and enjoy international visitors. Wifi, boats and bikes for your use. We are on an old sand peninsula, the house is earthquake safe, 100 metres from a 44km long white sand beach, 200 metres from the Avon river estuary and next to parks and native bush and the tennis club and a camping ground. We are considered a suburb of Christchurch but we have an alternative lifestyle "village" feel. It takes 11-15 minutes to get to the Christchurch CBD and 30 minutes to the international airport. We will take you to lots of local attractions and give you holidays +/- transport.
