Leo and I are from South Africa and have been here for 18 years.
We have hosted students and Airbnb for 10 years now. We are planning to sell our large house and downsize.
We need help with small painting jobs in and out of the house. And tidying the garage so we can take stuff to the dump. Most of the garden has now been sorted out.
We have always enjoyed having travelers to stay and meeting people from all over the world.
We are close to the beach and also on the bus route to town.
Christchurch is becoming interesting as it recovers from the earthquake.

So far we have had 3 couples agree to come and none have come. So I'm not sure why. I would really appreciate to have some help here. Thanks.

I am on a lifestyle block with paddocks, native gardens and a veggie garden. We keep bees and have a lovely dog. We have built an ECO house nearby (in Lincoln) that needs landscaping. This involves some heavy work, moving dirt around etc. Work is mainly in the garden, but assistance with cooking and kitchen duties are also expected. We sometimes have BnB guests. You share the bathroom with them and it is your duty to keep the bathroom super clean at all times. Our property is quiet and relaxing, we cook both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. A comfortable bed is available, we prefer one or two female helpers or a couple. We have hosted many helpers and most didn't want to leave. Experience with landscaping would be a bonus, and ability to work unsupervised, at least some of the time is a must. References from previous hosts would be very helpful. If they are not on your profile, please provide me with the phone number of your last host family.

We are looking for friendly and diligent people to help with gardening and farm work on our lifestyle block. Some cooking and cleaning may also be required. We are a busy working family with young children so you will need to enjoy the company of children! We have a warm and cosy private sleep out (bathroom facilities in main house). Unlimited internet is available.
You will be expected to provide 4 hours work per day (per person) for accommodation and 3 meals a day. We expect you to make your breakfast and lunch and will share dinner preparation and cooking/cleanup.
We are looking for 1 or two people who can provide good references. We are 10 minutes drive from the airport and 20-30 minutes from the centre of the city, so you will need your own car or transport. Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you!

Hello Travelers!
Welcome to NZ!

My house is in a convenient location in Christchurch, close to the city, beaches, parks, transport and shops etc.

I have separate accommodation available, unlimited Internet.

If you are able to assist with gardening, tidying the property up that would be great.

Let me know if you have any questions :-). I look forward to meeting you.

Thank you,

Lenore

We live in a beautiful part of New Zealand - The Canterbury High Country only 1 hour from Christchurch & so close to nature..... Methven & Darfield are only a short 20 minute drive away.
We are interested in hosting people in our home to assist with the daily running of our household , helping out with childcare & different projects on the property including gardening / maintenance. We have two preschoolers aged 4 & 2.
There is a walkway on the property that is open to the public , so there are always people coming & going & something different happening everyday.

We can assist with transport to & from Christchurch & we have reliable wifi.
Thank you
Henry & Megan

We run a small camping ground / holiday park at Rakaia and we are looking for a couple or one person to assist with gardening, lawn mowing and general work around the camp. We can offer a basic back packers cabin on a weekly basis for 22 hours work or 11 hours for two. A couple could stay in their own van on a powered site for 16 hours of work a week. Working hours and days of the week are flexible. Would suit people who have other work in the area and need accommodation or are looking for a base to explore Canterbury.

GARDEN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

An authentic experience for a young traveler wishing to get a grasp on Christchurch life. You'll live with a group of friends in their mid 20's-30's, all young professionals, in a house that overlooks Christchurch and the Southern Alps.

Your room is a shared space, in the living room, so being a tidy person is key, however, in balance to this: your contribution is only two hours of light work each day in the garden. Stay is for one person only and for the duration of one-week maximum. It's imperative that you feel confident with a Weed Eater and also know the difference between a plant and a weed (some people don't).

Please note: we are young professionals so aren't always available, however, when we're home we like to be social. The living room isn't always in use (most of us work during the day and occasionally, have commitments at night), however, we do like to have it as a communal space to light fires, watch movies, play music, share food ... more inside

We have a 10 acre walnut orchard. We often need help during the harvest in April, but also other times.
We are friendly and easygoing, and have hosted many helpers. We have chooks, dog, cat, and sometimes some of our three children staying here.We are located 20km out of Christchurch, across the road from a bus stop.We enjoy finding out about the places our helpers come from, and try to provide a cultural exchange. We have both travelled a fair bit,and still do....Liz and Linton

We have a very serene and peaceful location and perfect for helpers wanting a quieter life.

We are wanting helpers to assist with the walnut harvest and to work 4.5 hours per day in exchange for vegetarian meals (all meals provided) and accommodation. Wifi is available with reasonable use. Relaxed and friendly environment. We need help from April 12, 2019 for seven days.Thank you

Our farm is located very close to the town of Lyttelton with 360 degree views of the surrounding hills and harbour. We have 150 goats and 20 cattle on a steep bushy farm. We have a spare room in our spacious warm house with separate shower and bathroom. We like to eat lots of fresh food and love to have our visitors cook food from their homeland if they like to. We have two school aged children who love to meet new people and are good company most of the time!

Warm regards
